Default Classroom Rules
Technically technical all the time Bookaholic

1. No food, drink, chewing gum, nor any other substance that gets put in or near your mouth is permitted in the classroom.

2. No running, skipping, jumping, rough-housing, dueling, etc.

3. Disrepecting of the teacher or students will not be tolerated.

4. Homework received after the time it is due will not be graded.

5. All work is to remain in the classroom and be handed in at the end of each class. Those caught attempting to brew potions outside of the classroom will be severely punished. Please arrange a time with Professor Branxton if you would like to book the classroom for supervised, personal, use.

OOC:

1. All SS Board Rules apply in this classroom.

2. Do not announce your late arrival to class. If you do arrive late for class, please just act as if you've been there for the entire lesson.

3. Keep your posts class-related and refrain from making ooc (out of character) comments.

4. All homework should be PMed to biochemkris and include your member id.

5. Please try and be realistic with your RPing. Students at Hogwarts do not have things like pet dragons (they are illegal). Also, keep in mind what year you are. Yes, we have all read the books and know a lot of spells, but honestly, do you think a first year would be able to perform the patronus charm or be an animagus?

6. Class attendance and homework is not mandatory.

7. Please just post knocking on the Potions Office door and wait for the professor to acknowledge you before entering. If you want to RP waiting with your fellow students, please use the Corridor Outside Potions thread and not the office. The office thread is reserved for RP taking place inside the office only (just be sure to knock on the door if you want entrance as I may not see your post in the corridor thread). Thank you

8. Please be patient with me. I have a rambunctious toddler to take care of so classes may run slowly and I may not answer right away. Try not to get too out of control during class when I can't be around to RP a reaction for Doyle. Thanks.

Default A note on the awarding of house points
Technically technical all the time Bookaholic

ooc: Points are given for answering questions correctly and participating in class. Class participation usually earns at most, 10 points. The number of points you receive depends on how you RPed your brewing (just saying you brewed the potion will earn you less points than if you tell me how you brewed it). Points awarded for homework are based more on whether you actually did the homework and how much effort you put forth than whether or not you answered correctly (most of this stuff I either make up or is loosely based on some bit of facts I picked up from a book or the web so, I don't expect you to get it right all the time). Extra points can sometimes be earned by sheer creativity (Mrs. Weasley came up with a brilliant story about one of my made-up ingredients one term).
