| | |  Grounds Keeper's Office/Madame Cauldwell
 When you walk out Hogwarts' front doors, you can't help but notice Hagrid's old hut. All the students have heard the tales of Hagrid and Harry Potter. The many time Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger came and had tea with Hagrid, and how he helped them with their problems. You're tempted to look in a window and see if the rumors you have heard are true. That a dragon Hagrid raised from a baby still inhabits his hut only coming out at night to hunt. As you descend the stairs, you notice smoke billowing out of the chimney. Your curiosity is peaked. You walk over to one of the windows and sneak a peep. You're disappointed to discover a fire in the fireplace is producing the smoke. Instead of a dragon, you see a woman sitting in a wing chair sipping tea and reading a murder mystery. She notices you and motions for you to come inside. You go over to the door and see a brass plaque hanging near it. The plaque says Miranda Cauldwell Head Groundskeeper.
Miss Cauldwell opens the door. "Welcome, please come in," she says. You are surprised to discover Hogwarts has a female groundskeeper. She is tall with short blond hair and big blue eyes. Miranda is dressed comfortably in jeans and a sweat shirt. Wizard robes and a heavy jacket hang on pegs near the door along with a crossbow and arrows.
The hut doesn't look like you imagined it would. Hagrid's things have all been removed. They have been replaced by comfortable furniture and a modern kitchen. The walls are lined with bookcases which contain books on charms, ancient runes, hex breaking, DADA, and murder mysteries. There are also photographs of Albus Dumbledore, Remus Lupin, and Minerva McGonagall on the walls as well. In another case you find various wands and wand cores. They are teaching aids Miss Cauldwell uses when she teaches charms. Above the fireplace you see three special wands in an ornate case. These wands belonged to Albus Dumbledore, Remus Lupin, and Harry Potter. Remus left them to Miranda in his will. In a corner there is a massive roll top desk. It is covered with books and parchments. There is also a bowel of owl treats on a nearby table. A snowy white owl sits on a perch near the desk. He flaps his wings and squawks as you walk by. Miss Cauldwell feeds Hermes some owl treats, and he quiets down for a while. Hermes continues to keep a close eye on you.
Miss Cauldwell motions for you to sit down in one of the wing chairs by the fireplace. She pours you a cup of tea and offers you some Scottish Shortbread Cookies. "I'm sorry I don't have more of a variety of cookies, but I haven't had time to find Hogwarts' kitchens. Now what can I do for you?"

Kay accepted the cookies and tea with a thank-you and asked,"is there any thing i could help you with or clean er..something" she was quite board and wanted to do something other than sit under a tree and freeze.

Another girl had entered just before Kemma and so it was a treat to have been invited in as well for tea and cookies. Her eyes roamed the room, taking in the furnishings. It was extremely comfortable and...homey. Yes, that was the exactly right word.
Kemma hadn't been sure what to expect, but she was quite pleasurably surprised to find Professor Cauldwell in jeans and a sweatshirt rather than teaching robes. She didn't look intimidating - in fact, she seemed quite approachable. Accepting some tea, Kemma carefully added four lumps of sugar and cream. She really wanted five lumps, but was to embarrassed to add another. Her mother was always scolding her about sweets. Sipping the tea, Kemma murmured politely and correctly, "Thank you very much, Professor Cauldwell."
After the first girl offered her help, Kemma chimed in, "Oh yes, please - me too! I was hoping you might want some help with gardening or something. I used to help mum quite a bit. She said I had a right good hand with the vegetables, especially." | |

Vivi walked in, and she accepted the cookies and tea.
"Um, Miranda, or shall i call you Miss Cauldwell, Can you tell me about the famous trio and Hagrid?" she said as she took a bite of her cookie and took a sip of her tea.

Miranda pours herself a cup of tea and adds some sugar and lemon. "Well, there really isn't alot to do at the moments. The house elves generally cut the grass at night, so they don't disturbe the students during the day. A vegetable garden might be a good idea. I'll have to talk to the headmistress and Mr. Thorn before anything can be planted." Miranda gets a cookie and dips it in her tea. She as to smile at Jane's question. Miranda didn't think she looked that old. "I never did get to meet Hagrid. I understand he married Madame Maxime and moved to Beauxbaton with her. I understand they had about three rather tall children. At least that's the story I heard from Ron and Hermione Weasley. They used to come visit my parents. My brother and I used to play with their children. We kind of lost touch when we all went to Hogwarts. I was in Hufflepuff, and they were in Gryffindor. I never had the pleasure of meeting the great Harry Potter. I did hear many stories about him from my aunt, Minerva McGonagall, and Remus Lupin. He was a close family friend." Miranda found herself in a new position. She's usually the one asking the questions. | |

Vivi was amazed that Hermione had actually married Ron, I know Vivi should know, but her mother hadn't really asked her grandparents about Hermione. They actually thought Vivi's great aunt was married to the famous Harry Potter.
"I'm related to Hermione's family, but whatever happened to Harry Potter?" she asked.

"Who said you cannot go the Lake? The headmistress has not imformed me the lake was off limits to students." (OOC: the first By the Lake thread was getting too large, so I opened a version 2. The larger the thread the more difficult it is to delete it at the end of the term.) "Well I'm pleased to see Hogwarts is still attracting the finest of students. Yes my Aunt Minerva was very old when she taught me. I only had her for one term before she died. I'm afraid she was very disappointed in me. I never took to Transfiguration like my brother did. I'm really not sure what happened to Harry Potter. I do remember Aunt Minerva telling stories about him and his battles with Voldemort, but she never told us very much about what happened after his last battle with Voldemort. I guess after years of being the boy who lived, he just wanted to be plain old Harry Potter. More tea?" | |

She smiled, "I'm Michiko" she heard the groundskeeper speaking about the famous Harry Potter, "If that's the case I really agree with Harry. He probably just wanted to live a normal life after all that...fame."
