Neva arrives in front of the classroom, clutching her bag and waiting eagerly for her favourite subject.

She placed her bag on the ground near the door and sat own with her book * Healing potions of the ancient Greeks * which her mother had given her for her eighteenth birthday. She sat reading whilst awaiting the arrival of her classmates.

Zaza had heard from an elder student, Cameron, that Professor Branxton is their HoH. That's why she tries to introduce herself to him ...

She spots another elder Slytherin student outside his office, and polite as she is she says: "Hello, ma'am, I am Zaza who are you?"

Vivi sat down, this was surely her favorite class. She just sat there and waited for more students.

Zaza notices a young Gryffindor coming to the corridor.

"You're going to visit our HoH as well," she asks her. "Do you like Potions?"

Neva smiles up at Zaza and introduces herself." Hello hun! I'm Neva Amos. Nice to meet you. I hope you enjoy potions as much as I do" she chuckled.

Zaza ponders whether she also should tell her full name like the elder student did. But a thought occurs to her, and instead she asks Neva: "Do you think it´s possible to make a potion that turns you invisible?" She smiles to her.

"Is the Professor a joking kind of fellow? I mean, you laughed ... Well, anyway I´m quite sure I will enjoy the Potions, it surely sounds interesting. I´m a first year, so I haven´t studied them before, though." She looked at the elder student and had no idea what year she would be in and tried not to look too curiously at the book she had been reading.

Zaza realizes she´s not exactly outside Professor´s office, but outside the classroom. She blushes a little thinking about what she had just said to the Gryffindor student. She might as well be waiting for the classes to begin rather than visiting Professor Branxton. She herself considered whether she would be having enough time for dropping in the Professor´s office before the classes start.

"I heard tell of a potion that could make the drinker invisible in an old book on Ancient Greece that my mother had given me. So far I have yet to find another piece of text to substanciate this so I am inclined to believe that we are stuck with invisibilty cloaks for the foreseeable future" Neva informed the inquizitive young witch.

" This is my first year at Hogwarts so I couldn't comment on our teacher's sense of humour. I spent my first five years of magical education at Beauxbatons where my mother taught Transfiguration. Potions is a very interesting subject dear. If you love breaking the boundaries of physics and accepted ideas then this subject is certainly for you."

Zaza had never heard about invisibility cloaks, but she made a mental note to find out all about them when she would visit the library next time.

"Gosh! You mean they have to actually drink that potion to become invisible? Couldn´t it be dangerous, I mean if it went wrong?" She guessed she had thought something you would spread on your skin rather than something you would ingest.

"Beauxbatons? Sounds french ..." Suddenly a thought occurs to her. "Do you know whether there is a school called Drumstand or something like that?" She suddenly seems to be very curious about that matter.

"Yes they would have to drink it. The potion works from the inside out to cloak every cell in your body.It lasts for three hours and if brewed incorrectly could lead to either permanant invisibility, cell degredation and ultimately, death.Invisibility cloaks are much easier to use. I have one in my posession actually. I keep it in my dorm room.

Beaxbatons is in France. Though I am not french. My mother was Greek and my father was English. There is a school called Durmstrang. I am not sure where it is located however. Perhaps Russia or Hungary. A famous Quidditch player by the name of Viktor Krumb went to the school."

Zaza looks at the elder student with respect. As a matter of fact her gaze is a bit ... sentimental, perhaps. So that much you will know after five years of studying ... And loads more, she guessed. She promised herself to study harder than in the muggle school she had attended before ... Like that could be called studying, she thought to herself. It seemed magical schools teached some stuff really worth learning and she would make sure she didn´t miss a word.

She was particularly impressed by the description of the dangers of the potion gone wrong, though she had a slight afterthought about would she ever dare to taste such potion herself.

"Durmstrang?" Zaza repeated thoughtfully. "That´s funny. I could´ve sweared it was a dream when I heard my parents arguing about whether I ought to be put into Drumstand instead of Hogwarts - I thought it would be a music school or something - but if there really is a place called Durmstrang maybe I heard the name wrong and maybe it wasn´t a dream ..." She looks shyly at Neva. "Do you want some Bertie Bott´s? Each and every one of these have tasted different so far ..."

Neva accepts an Every Flavour Bean graciously and hesitates before she put it into her mouth. She had never had the nerve to try them before as she was afraid of what awful flavours could befall her. She sucks on it for a moment, not really sure what the flavour was, but it wasn't something utterly horrible. " I think that I got lucky this t......" She hadn't finished her sentence before she gagged involuntarily. Beetle hide! " Oh my lord " she giggled. " I guess they were telling the truth when they called them every flavour. I think I'll stick to Sherbert Wands in future. At least I know I can only get a fruit flavour" she smiles. She delves into hr bulging bag and pulls out a bag of what looked like real wands. "Take one. They're really nice and they contain some real magic. Not the really heavy stuff. It's mostly transfiguration spells it posesses. Be careful not to sneeze if the sherbert gets up your nose though. I once turned my friend into a toad after a particularly violent sneeze" She wrinkled her nose like a bunny rabbit and the bag began to float in front of Zaza. She had mastered the art of silent spells at thirteen and had used it to her advantage in classes ever since.

"Oh, I´m terribly sorry," Zaza panics. "The worst I´ve tasted so far was pepper, and that wasn´t so bad, because I happen to like pepper, but all the others have been candy-like." She calms down when Neva giggles and manages to smile herself. "Was it perhaps pepper?" she asks being not quite sure whether it would be appropriate to giggle since she didn´t know how bad the taste had been.

Zaza reaches to take a wand, but hesitates a moment when Neva says the wands contain some real magic. As the bag floated in front of her she encouraged herself and took one. She looked the wand suspiciously. "Transfiguration? Do you mean I could turn into a toad myself aswell or only that I might turn my school bag into toad if I sneezed to it?" she asked with a slightly worried tone.

"It's okay. Don't worry about it. Now I have a reason for my aversion to the confectionary." She smiles. " I happen to like the taste of pepper too but that definitely was not pepper. I unfortunately have tasted actual Beetle hides so I can make the comparison. My mother and I went to Hong Kong for our holiday last year and we were introduced to a wide variety of exotic tastes."

Neva notices Zaza look hesitantly at the wand and reassures her. "Don't worry. As long as you don't sneeze you're perfectly safe. The spells work if you just say them aloud. Here I'll show you."

Neva places her school bag in front of them whilst taking a bite of the wand. She swallows and says calmly "Incorracto menaphisto technicular". With that the school bag turns into what appears to be a rainbow. With one swift sweep of her hand and a quick "Finite Incantatutum" the bag turns back into it's original form. "There. Simple Dimple" She smiles.

Beetle hide! Zaza had never tasted one, but she was sure the taste would be yucky. Hong Kong would surely be an interesting place to be, but she was not so sure about their diet ...

Seeing the bag turn into a rainbow her jaw finally drops and she cannot but stare. "That was amazing, so beautiful ..." she sighs.

Zaza still looks a bit suspicious. "I´ll have to watch out what I say anyway, being a live wand? If I say for example `Accio´ someone might start floating towards me, right?" she says remembering Cameron charming the goblet at the Opening Feast.

"Wasn't it just. You could learn a spell to turn an item into your crush for a short time lol..... Not that I've tried it " She says, unconvincingly.

"It would be an interesting experiment, summoning a person. I've never tried it before. I might give it a go sometime."

"I don´t think I have a crush, I´m only eleven ..." Zaza blushes remembering a cute boy in her former school.

"I didn´t quite think I could summon a person, but is it quite safe to talk while eating these wands or are you in danger to make someone change into a snake or something?" She suddenly looked curious, but didn´t dare to taste the candy yet.

Neva looks at Zaza and notices her blush slightly. "Well for future reference" She simpered.

"Don't worry hun. They are quite safe. The wands only recognises certified spells. It won't turn anybody into a snake if you don't do say the appropriate spell."

Neva began to absent mindedly tap a beat onto the wall she was leaning against. She wished she could take another music class but her timetable wouldn't allow it. I suppose I'll just have to carry on dabbling..... she pondered.

Zaza blushed even more when Neva mentioned the "future references". She resists the urge to ask what would be the appropriate spell for turning someone into snake, but licks her Sherbet Wand instead.

"Pineapple!" she says delighted and bites a chunk. "Avis ..." She was going to say I wish, but it turned out like that, with her mouth full of sherbet wand. A swarm of birds come out her mouth and start flying around her and Neva.

Neva twirled around in the flutter of birds, stroking their bright blue feathers. "Nice accident" She simpered. " I love birds. Preferable to Toads anyday."

Corrinna walked along to where she saw a few other students a little apprehensivley. She smiled at them and leant against a wall, fishing in her bag for her potions book.

She pulled it open and looked around at everyone already there before looking down at the page she was reading and began, taking in the same passage over and ove again not understanding a word, as her mind was elsewhere.

Neva walks over to the girl and offers her a sherbert Transfigu-Wand. "Don't worry. They don't cause too much havoc lol" She smiled.

Corrinna started out of her daze, snapping her book shut. She winced a little at the sound, and then looked towards the other girl.

She hesitantly took the Transfigu-Wand. 'What are they?' she asked caustiosly.

"They are just fruit flavoured wands. However, when you take a bite if you say a transfiguration spell you can use it without a real wand. Observe"

Neva bit a chunk off of her own Transfigu-Wand and said very clearly "Avifores!". The bag she had been looking at turned into a little fluttering bird and swiftly took flight around the corridoor. "Finite Incantatum!" Neva said and the bag turned back to its natural form.

Corrinna started a little looking at the bag. She gaped, open mouthed, her ice blue eyes open wide. She looked back at the girl, lost for words.

'Wow,' she said simply. 'I didn't think you could do things like that. But then again, what do I know? Only a first year,' she laughed a little.
