You knock upon the door and a baritone voice bids you enter. You step into the mahogany shelf-lined room and look around. The shelves cover nearly every inch of wallspace, save for the fireplace. The shelves are lined with all sorts of books, parchments, jars, vials, and boxes. There is a fire in the grate and upon the fire is a cauldron bubbling with a thick green liquid. Just a few feet from the door, you bump into a leather chair, placed before a large mahogany desk which matches the shelves. A tall, salt and pepper haired, man dressed in black robes with glasses sits behind the desk. He pulls off his glasses and takes a hankerchief out of a pocket. He gestures to the chair with the glasses before cleaning them and placing them back on his face. "What is it you would like to speak with me about?"

Holly finally got up the courage to go into the office. "Hi, im holly a first year here. I just wanted to say sorry on behalf of my house for our behavor in yesterdays class."

OOC: i know what you mean with the whole having to step away from the computer, i have to younger brothers, 1 and 2 are their ages and they dont know how to sit still if their life depended on it....

Lua rolled her eyes and stared at the professor's potions shelf instead. His office was rather crowded with eager students and she knew she would wait a long time. There at the moment she spotted it: An aging potion , Lua's eyes widened and sparkled in excitement.
She turned to check on the professor to find him still busy with the students giving her his back, and not even noticing she was there.
She squiggeled her wand from under her sleeve and accio'd the aging potion. Slipping it in her pockets, she carried the two fat cats and stepped out of the office silently into the hall ways with the professor's back still facing her.

Rave burst into Professor Branxton's office with tears streaming down her now old wrinkled face. "P-p-pro-professor Branxton, S-s-som-someone p-p-put something in my pu-pumpkin juice." she said between sobs. She didnt know what to do. What if she was stuck like this, the 'what ifs' were spinning through her head at top speed. She was going to hunt the person that did this and hex them into oblivion when she was back to normal, if she got that way.

"It's quite alright, I'm used to such antics at the beginning of the term," he replied to the young Ravenclaw before greeting poor Hufflepuff First year. "Thank you for the offer but, I'm doing quite fine. I look forward to seeing you in class."

After seeing the other students out, he began working on some paperwork. He was in the middle of making a notation when one of his students burst into the room. He stood and moved around his desk. He took the girl by her shoulders and pushed her into a chair. "Now, a bit more slowly this time, what happened?" he asked, handing her a tissue.

Rave took the tissue, wiped her eyes, took a deep breath and tried to calm her nerves, "I was having dinner with my younger sisters, Lua and Sol, and I took a drink of my pumpkin juice and noticed my hands felt achy. Then my back started to hurt, then my hair was gray and then....then I felt my face." At this Rave reached up a hand to the wrinkled, sagging skin on her face and tried to calm herself once again. "What did they do to me?" she asked looking up at Branxton, all traces of her former embaressment gone, now there was just a helpless, pleading look.

"It looks like the effects of an aging potion," he kindly replied before walking over to his store cupboards, rumaging around. "I probably have an antidote here somewhere. I just need to find it..."

Rave's hands shook as she waited for the Professor to find the antidote. She was going to kill who ever did this. There were some obvious suspects, like Lua or Sol, but Rave didnt want to think that her sisters, who she hadnt seen in so long, would do something this cruel.

After rummaging around he finally found some in the very back. He removed it from the cupboard and blew the excess dust off before polishing the bottle with one of his hankerchiefs. Professor Branxton removed the stopper and sniffed the potion before pouring it into a goblet. It smelled and looked okay but, it would take a slightly larger dose since it was getting a bit old. "Here, drink this down and you should be back to normal within a few minutes," he said, handing her the goblet.

Rave took the goblet from Professor Branxton and gulped it down as fast as she could. She set the glass down and waited.

After a few minutes her skin began to tighten, her hair darken and her back stopped hurting. She looked up at Professor Branxton looking, once again, like the young Slytherin she was.
"Thank you so much Professor." she said with her voice back to normal.

After a moment it hit her... she was talking normaly to the man who she had humiliated herself in front of. She sighed, "I'm really getting sick of being dosed with unknown potions." she said looking at the ground, "I should have been more careful or..or.." Rave trailed off. She didnt know what to do. With out knowing who did this to her, how would she gaurd against it?

He was taken aback by the girl sitting before him and started cleaning his glasses with the dusty hankerchief without thinking while she prattled on. When he replaced his glasses on his nose, he was looking through streaks of dust. He coughed and took them off again, heading for his desk and a fresh hankerchief. "Yes, well if you have any leads whatsoever as to who the culprit is, you should contact me right away," he said, concentrating on his glasses.

Rave hesitated, "Well....No it couldnt be them." She bit her lip and descided to go find Serena she'd help. "I'll let you know if I find out Professor."
Rave got to her feet and headed for the door. She paused in the doorway, turned back and said, "Thank you, Professor." She turned once again to the door and left.

Novalus finally saw the door open and saw Rave come out " Hi, you look better got the grey hair out I see, what happened" he asked but she didn't seem to hear him as she seemed to be in a hurry. " Oh well, I'll ask later" as he turned his attention to Professor Branxton's door.

Novalus took at seat and asked " I've been watching the counter in the great hall and have been wondering the best ways for me to help Slytherin get the most points possible. I know some ways like partcipating in class and homework and following rules, but there has to be things I can do that I wouldn't think of. I mean we are 200 points behind that's alot"

"Well, of course you're off to a good start attending class and doing homework yourself. Another way would be to encourage your housemates to do the same. Earning as many points as possible and winning the upcoming quidditch match could also increase our chances in the race for the house cup. Assisting professors when they need assitance is also a way to pick up extra points, though those opportunities aren't very common," he explained. "Just a moment," he called at the knock upon the door.
