You knock upon the door and a baritone voice bids you enter. You step into the mahogany shelf-lined room and look around. The shelves cover nearly every inch of wallspace, save for the fireplace. The shelves are lined with all sorts of books, parchments, jars, vials, and boxes. There is a fire in the grate and upon the fire is a cauldron bubbling with a thick green liquid. Just a few feet from the door, you bump into a leather chair, placed before a large mahogany desk which matches the shelves. A tall, salt and pepper haired, man dressed in black robes with glasses sits behind the desk. He pulls off his glasses and takes a hankerchief out of a pocket. He gestures to the chair with the glasses before cleaning them and placing them back on his face. "What is it you would like to speak with me about?"

Amber walked into the office slowly. "Hello, Proffessor Branxton, I'm Amber Fields, I'm a first year. I was wondering when the first class is?" She asked, chewing on her bottom lip, out of nerves.

Rave walked slowly towards Professor Branxton's office with her head low. 'Oh come on Rave. Get over it!' she thought to herself.

Walking up to the door, she knocked, and waited for the professor to open the door.

"hey professor branxton,ummm.. i'm candace McLaggen and this is Camilla weasley. we were just wondering when the firts class was?"

"Good Afternoon professor my name is Tonya I'm a first year and i just came to introduce myself and find out when class will start."

"ummmm....professor not only do i want to know when this class will start but what kind of homework we will have"

yeah, same here as my friend candace, when will class be starting and are you like the ex-professor snape?

"oh i hope not, cassie"

Ivanna spotted the potions room on her way,deciding to stop before heading to tranfiguration.
She walked int the office to see a crowd alraedy assembled,she quickly squz in next to a book shelf.
Yhis was going to be a while so she decided to come back later and headed to hufflepuff commomn room

Audra Laudarque, a shy petite girl with straight black hair and violet eyes, places a tentative knock upon the office door of the Potions professor and her Head of House. Upon hearing a muffled reply, she enters the office of her instructor, Professor Branxton.

She had come to the office to introduce herself to her instructor. She always wanted to start the year off on the right foot, and this year was no different, especially as she had transferred to a school in her fifth year in a country with a new language.

"Excusez-moi, Profesor. I am Audra Laudarque et un fifth year. I used to go to ze French academy, Beauxbatons. I wish to introduce myzelf to you and to tell you zat I am in your house, Slyzerin."

Edaj was wandering about between classes, and decided to meet the Potions Master. she knocked on the door and entered when told to. she looks around, this room was quite interesting. "Hello, Professor, I am Edaj Enacirruh, first year. i was just wondering when classes would start."

Azrael was wondering when did the potion class start.She is so excited about it.Then finally realized she could go to the potion master office to ask him.She suddenly knocked "Uhmmm...Hi, prof. I was wondering when the classes begin?"

Vox walked slowly towards the potion-masters office. She reached the door, knocked and entered when a voice within bid her to do so. She wasn't a person who generally went out of their way to talk to professors - she had dropped out of muggle school two years earlier and before that had been a troublesome student - but she wanted to do well at hogwarts and she thought that potions would be her best subject.
She entered the room and lifted her dark green eyes towards the professor in an intelligent and mysterious gaze.
"Professor Branxton. My name is Vox, I am a first year in Slytherin. I was just wondering if there was any opportunity for extra-credit work that i could do?"
She stood a little nervously and waited for him to yell at her or tell her to go away.

ooc: I abhor ooc posts but, I feel I owe you all an apology for my absence. I am going to just do a blanket post here since there are just so many people to respond to, most with similar questions, but please feel free to continue interacting with me afterward and I'll actually play with you this time. :o)

Professor Branxton greeted each student in turn and then made an announcement. "The first class will be starting this Thursday at 5pm EST (10pm BST). Homework will be assigned after class and will pertain to the class discussion."

"Thank you Professor, see you on Thursday! I cant wait to start this class!" says Tonya

"Ah, sank you, Professor," said Audra Laudarque, "but I was actually coming by to introduce myzelf to you. I have transferred her from Beauxbatons and I am a fifth year in ze Slyzerin house, your house, I believe."

Rave, thinking the professor hadnt heard her, knocked on the door once again. 'Come on Rave he wont blame you. You had no control over what happened just apologize and GET OVER IT!' she thought to herself forcfully.

Novalus walked into the office about to ask when the first class was when he happened on the teacher already telling a group of students the information he came for, he then walked up to the teacher just to inroduce heimself and said " hello professor Branxton, my name is Novalus, how are you?"

Katie knocked on the door and entered the office. "Excuse me, proffessor, but isn't class supposed to be starting right now?" She asked

Novalus looked in the office of the Prof. Branxton. "Well this can't be good, he didn't show up for the class" said Novalus " I wonder where he is"

Vicky saw other students there and asked herself what was going on? the professor didn´t show up.. that was weird and it would be so disapointing to not have her first potion class.. she had been looking forward to it for almost a week!

ooc: Please be patient with me. I have an 11 month old son and may be late due to circumstances beyond my control. Class will be starting now.

Please also note that there is a difference between IC and OOC. Just because I can't be here, doesn't mean that my character is late. Please don't post "the professor wasn't answering her" or "the professor was missing" just because it takes me a while to post or I'm late. Unless I post something saying that my character is missing, has left, or is patently oblivious, assume that he is and would respond to you if I was online to do so. This is just a common courtesy when RPing, especially here where we are all in different time zones.
