1. No dueling whatsoever, magical or otherwise.
2. No name calling, teasing, or bullying.
3. No magic in the hallways.
4. No displays of affection.
5. Please make an appointment to see me.
a. If you do not make an appointment, you are free to knock and I will see you. I will give priority to students who notify me ahead of time however.
6. Respect all faculty, staff, and prefects.
{OOC} 7. All other rules of snitchseeker.com apply. That means no behavior that goes against forum rules. Keep all comments, avatars, pictures, signatures, and posts appropriate to children of 13 or younger. Classroom Specific Rules:
1. No interrupting in class. This especially includes announced late entrances. If you are late, simply find a seat and sit down without saying anything and try and catch up with the class.
2. Do not talk before raising your hand. If you would like to add something or ask a question, always raise your hand before you begin talking. It is simply polite.
3. No late homework. All homework is to be handed in on time, or to not be handed in. No late homework assignments will ever be accepted. However, if you cannot complete the homework on time but would still like to go over it (for no house points), please see me in my office.
3.i. Homework is due by 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time the day it is due. Midnight is by definition the beginning of a new day.
{OOC} 4. House points will be rewarded based not just on participation, but on general role playing ability as well as quality, imagination, and creativity. I don't generally award points based solely on quantity of participation.
If there are any questions, concerns, or comments on my rules, please visit me in my office down the hall.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Saroja | General Guidelines Below are some general guidelines everyone should try and follow when participating in class and RPing in general. - Do not answer questions that have already been answered.
- Try to give a clear and total picture of what your character is doing.
Ex; Stacy thought about the puzzle for a few long moments. After struggling with herself over her answers she finally nodded approvingly and began writing. Satisfied with her answer, Stacy nodded happily and turned her test over, sliding it to the front of her desk. She then looked around the room meekly, trying to discern how her peers were doing.
vs. Stacy wrote down the answer.
The former gives a much clearer view of how Stacy's character is behaving and is easier for me to discern how well/poorly a character is doing. This makes it easier to assign house points for creativity and imagination as well. - This is a forum RPG, not a chat RPG. As such, you need not wait for everyone to respond. In fact, it is often easier to include a large amount of information in a post than to post 15 small posts.
- Please write your character's actions along with their speech. When someone writes "Hi Professor F! I just wanted to say hi and tell you the last class was pretty good."
It is impossible for me to know who they are or where they are. Furthermore, prof. Fox often keeps his office and class door shut and locked, so by the above description, the character would be talking to a door; which, while funny, is highly unusual. - If your character has left a room or area please post that they have left. Otherwise it makes it very difficult to gauge whether they should be interacted with or not. Similarly, let people know what your character is doing when you post as well, it just generally helps the quality of the role play.
These guidelines will help everyone improve the overall role play in the Arithmancy corridor as well as make it much easier for me to gauge how well/poorly your character is doing. Thank you. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Saroja | Points for homework have been awarded, and the points counter has been updated. Students curious as to how they did may PM me for their individual score. As always, any students who did not do the homework can see me in my office to attempt to make points up some other way.
