Suggestion Box

Drop your suggestions here for making the school safer and more unified before the Ministry visitor arrives.

Nadia walked by when she looked at a box standing just next to the Gargoyle that served as entrance of the Headmistress Office. The words 'suggestion in security' rang in her ears. But what was the use and wasn't it against what they had agreed, on stepping into this territory?

Idly and as if it didn't matter, Nadia wrote into a performed piece of parchment, the following: Cast the same Ancient Protective Enchantment of Blood that Lily Evans put upon her son and family as whole, with small variations to fix the building and situation, at Hogwarts School. Use of the Pentacle and the Cone of power, each Head of House as protection representative. Plus, practical teaching of Advance Defensive Magic to students.

She stopped on her writing, playing with the feather she used as quill. After some small deliberation added;

Not keeping of secrets pertaining security of the building.

Raven walked down towards the box and wrote down on a torn peice of parchment.

To aviod many of the incidents that occured last term we can have heavier security but or own students as security. Even though we have Prefect's we could possibly have two for each house and have guidence for the first years. I believe that whatever you plan this term will suffice though and as teh term progress house unity and pride will grow and the competition spirit will rise eventually.

She stuffed it in the box quickly and walked away towards the Ravenclaw Table.

Lee had just left the opening feast and decided to go searching for the Suggestion Box mentioned in the Headmistress' meeting. Haven eaten gave him a brainwave which he hoped would help her and the other Professors. He had it already written on a spare piece of parchment. He folded it and then placed it gently into the box. When the Headmistress read it she would see:
Quote:

Dear Professor Rae,

Having much thought after your rather wonderful speech i have decided upon a suggestion for you to consider. I don't think any changes should be made to the school, we are as safe as we need. With the ministry gone students will co-opertate more when it comes to their lessons and free time. Also i'm sure when the inspector arrives we all shall act golden due to fear of losing our school.

If any changes should be made i think it should involve more enchantments on the borders of the Hogwarts campus and i think your idea of competitions to help bring House Pride and school unity is one of the best possible soloutions. Hope you take this into consideration and hopefully agree with my views.

Yours sincerely,
Lee Alfred Leonard Andrez

Satisfied with what he had written he left the corridor with a rather smug look on his face, convinced the nearby statue of a gargoyle was staring at him.

OOC - Thanks to the Touz for creating IC Lee's middle names :D

Iphigeneia 09-18-2005 04:49 PM

Iphigeneia took a peek into the suggestions box. It was almost empty; there were only a handful of suggestions inside. After a moment's hesitation, Iphigeneia took a small square of parchment from a pile by the suggestions box and quickly scrawled

Quote:

Headmistress, I am only a first year but I have something that you might find useful. My pet Agathangelos is a clabbert and can detect danger when it comes near. He is my best friend and I would trust him with my life. He is very loyal and loving and I have had him ever since I was for a long time. I hate to part with him, but I think maybe you need him more than I do. Anyway, I don't really need him since I am d-- Please tell me if you want him so I can fetch him from the Grounds and let him know.

Iphigeneia Atreus.
Iphigeneia read her note over and considered re-writing it - after all, it wouldn't do to write the Headmistress a messy note - but a glance at the clock by the Entrance revealed that she was running horrifyingly late for the next class.

She probably won't have time to read it anyway Iphigeneia reasoned, and stuffed the note unceremoniously into the box before running down the Hall towards the third floor classrooms.

Nadia walked to the area of the headmistress headquarters entrance crossing paths with a distracted looking Jaren. She reached the box which stood next to the entrace, pulled an envelope and dropped it though the gape and inside the box. Then, staring at the retreatening figure, she quickened some steps and distracted-looking followed the boy.

The letter inside the box, on the other hand, read as following.

Quote:

Places to enter the castle:
-Main Gates
-Secondary gates from the grounds/forest
-7 passageways leading out of the castle.

Most reasonable deduction:
-The Headmaster/Headmistress is SecretKeeper of the Book of Mysteria.

Recommendations:
-Replace all DMDs around the castle. Reasoning: A skilled wizard should be able to conceal its nature and that around him, but no dark magic could be performed without notice.
-Seek the help of spirit and spirit-like creatures to find the BoM; since last time it was a ghost who found it.
-Look for other tools to help find the BoM. Or unable others to use said tools. Consider dropping all defenses for a period of time to renew all defenses and to stop any interferences around the tool in question.
-Wide up the Anti-Apparation area around the castle.
-Consider keeping students informed of situation concerning security of the school and updated on whichever subject which matters to the people involved.
-Check for adictive components in the Book of Mysteria and purge all staff members and people in touch with the book.
The reasons behind this letter and its bluntness, only Nadia knew.

:Kelli walked up to the box, and opened her letter to read it once more before slipping it into the box:

Quote:

Headmistress,
I know the staff at the school are doing their best to keep the students safe, but the older students I think could help take part in that. If you maybe had 2-3 students in each house be a sort of police for the house, that might help matters there, and make the students feel a little bit safer. Also, as far as uniting the students, maybe some small competitions that have teams of 4, one student from each house, would help unite all the students, and they would meet new students from other houses, and hopefully make some new friends. All the quidditch matches and such are great, but influence the seperation of houses.

I hope you will take not only my suggestion, but the suggestions of other students into consideration. We are all just trying to tell you what would help us feel safer and more united.

Sincerely,

Kelli
:she was satisified with her letter, and dropped it into the box:
