I really loved this story! I guess it's kind of cliched as so did a lot of people but it was completely different from the other stories and had a really sweet ending And it supports Wizards/Witches and Muggles being together which is just great
Anyone else?

I enjoyed this tale the most. It was a great story of the four of them working together and realizing that they had the ability to gain happiness within themselves.

This was my favorite story. I loved how they all worked together and in the end, there was no fortune in the fountain but it was their own strenght that helped them.

I think this story is one of the better stories in this book although it's very childish. The story has a good moral and the story is very interesting it is really like a fairytale a bit.

i liked how in Dumbledore's notes on this story he mentions that he has made it his mission to "remove [Lucius Malfoy] of his position as Lord Voldemort's favorite death eater."
I had never actually gotten the impression that Lucuis actually WAS a favorite at one time. I wish we could have seen a bit more of that in the books!

i like how at the end you find out that even though they all got what they wanted the fountain wasn't magical at all.

I loved this story so much It was sweet and touching and so...inspiring. I also laughed at Dumbledore's notes, when he told the readers about the pantomime play that they held for the Christmas season and how the set burned, the cast quarreled with one another and Headmaster Dippet declaring a blanket ban on all plays
I also found his comment on Lucius Malfoy funny wher he said that his refusal to remove the book from the shelves of Hogwarts was the beginning of Lucius long campaign to have him removed as headmaster, and his own campaign at having him removed as Voldemort's favorite death eater XD

The best thing about this story is that no matter how different some people are, others still help those different from them. It tells beautifully of the story of two cultures that are so different but they still seem to get along just fine. A forbidden love between a muggle and a witch is proof that no matter who that person is or what culture that person came from love will still find a way to their hearts.

I loved the story! This one was my favorite- next to The Tale of the Three Brothers. I liked how the story ended- how they knew that the fountain wasn't magical at all. What is your favorite part of the story? |

this story really caught my fancy although it was so simple. it wasn't my favourite in the book but it was definitely a delightful read...
i haven't read any of the footnotes for the stories yet, am firstly reading them as real fairy tales before returning and reading all of dumbledores notes and the insights they give to the stories and even the history of some characters - espically from reading what you have all written about them!

I think this story is the best in the book. I love how they worked together and at the end you read that the fountain did not have magic powers.

This one is my favorite tale from this book! It's so simple and sweet, and still teaches us some really cool things!
Of course I couldn't not mention Dumbledore's comments about it, haha! They are quite fun and as cool as the actual tale! The Fountain of Fair Fortune would definitely make a good pantomime, especially with the special effects created by magic! xD I would love to see this! Even though professor Beery said it was unlucky or whatever =P
