Well, I'm not too sure about adverbs, but the verbs here are different from one another unlike the english language where you just add "-ing"
Example:
(Present tense)
Eating (root word: eat) = Kumakain (root word: Kain)
Running (root word: run) = Tumatakbo (root word: Takbo)
Sleeping (root word: sleep) = Natutulog (root word: Tulog)
(Past tense)
Ate = Kumain
Ran = Tumakbo
Slept = Natulog
(Future tense)
Will eat = Kakain
Will run = Tatakbo
Will sleep = Matutulog
So, there really isn't a specific format for them
