Family…friends…former professors and staff. They were all smiling faces around them, clearly happy for the two of them. And if they weren’t genuinely happy for them, that was their problem. Nothing was going to mar the day, especially given the fact that no one objected to their union. His new official set of parents getting a soft smile and nod along with his own. “Yes…thank you all,” Benny remarked, echoing Adi even as the blush that had been threatening finally tinted his cheeks.

Darn pale skin and tendency for embarrassment.

And the kind words of both Henric and Lux. He gave Adi’s hand a squeeze as he wondered the next move. Had they practiced the plans for the reception? Benny couldn’t remember in the blitz that had been events. The day he has always hoped and waited for had come and he was ready for whatever was to follow where they currently were in the schedule.

Of course Adi being Adi had to greet practically everyone. He knew a few couldn’t have made it like West Odessa who had a music thing and Elodie who was busy unfortunately. But still, there were so many familiar faces! He hugged Henny, Ilia and Ava. “Thanks, guys! For everything.’’ You know, for helping him get the entire reception done. Adi grinned at Lux. look at her being all happy for him. “Just because I got married doesn’t mean I’ll have less time to torment you, Lux!’’ Holding, onto Benny’s hand, he led the dragon to Hades. He had been mad at her earlier because of her getting married in secret but Hady was someone that he would do anything for and he wouldn’t be able to stay mad at her. “You look beautiful in that dress!’’

Oh man! Was that Candice? There was no way she was there for Adi but he, of course, was super pleased to see her. “Hey, Candice! What a pleasant surprise! Thanks for coming!’’ Guess who he saw next? Professor Cassie and Mr Kiteridge! GOSH! HE HADN’T SEEN THEM IN AGES There was nothing better than such a happy occasion to see them all. “Mr K! Professor Cassie! It’s awesome to see you two again. I’m glad to see the two of you are still happy together.’’ And nope! Adi hadn’t forgotten about baby Jackson who was surely NOT a baby after all this time.

The extra happy guy glanced at Benny and was not surprised to see him struggling not to blush. “You’ll be redder than an apple soon, I bet,’’ he whispered jokingly. Or would he when he greeted the rest of their guests? His now- husband did blush easily.

Margo was nervous to be here. It had been far to long since she had spoke with Adi, her first true friend at Hogwarts. Now that she was a fresh graduate from Hogwarts she was busy attempting to start her life as an adult. Not something she was completely ready to do, but none the less.

She was very excited to be here for Adi. She blushed remember the crush she use to have on him as well. A young girl's dream. Smiling she remembered the good times wit her friend and began to look for him. She must give her congratulations. She had not had much interaction with his new groom, but it was never too late to start a friendship!

Jasmine was in the best of moods. What could be better than celebrating happiest of occasions, especially when it involved two wonderful people? The fact that she got to see so many old friends was just icing on the cake.

Looking at her little sister, Jasmine smiled."Everything is so beautiful, isn't it?" She kept her eye on the happy couple, just waiting for a moment when they weren't surrounded by well wishers. "We should go and offer our congratulations when there is a break in the action........if there's a break in the action."

Janelle couldn't help but chuckle. Her sister was such a romantic and a big sucker for weddings. "Yes, it really is lovely", she replied. That was the truth. And Janelle was so very happy for her "big brother" Adi and Benny too, of course. It had been so long since she had seen Adi and it was great to see him for a happy occasion.

Janelle looked around at all of the reception guests. There were people she would have to say hello to. Hearing Jasmine's plans, she nodded in agreement. "Yes, we definitely have to do that." Janelle couldn't wait.

Kace was blown away by the wedding ceremony. He thought it was beautiful and he couldn't be any happier for his friend Adi. Seemed like just yesterday they were in the same hufflepuff house doing homework together and now look where they are. Kace is now celebrating his best friends wedding. He beamed at the couple and now they were at the reception. He saw some of his old classmates and even old professors here. Well he is not surprised Adi was top of the class. Kace even saw Lux, Candice, Benny (the groom) and Hady. Man there were old faces.

As he made his way to find his glass for a toasting, he couldn't help but nudge Lux and tell her hello. "Heyy there..." he tapped he lightly on the shoulder. Then he turned his back and saw Candice there too. He grinned and said, "Well Candice I heard you made a lasting impact on Colt at hogwarts.." He heard some of the stories. He didn't want to talk too much since the toasting would start.

Hady made it a point that once the toasts were over she would make her way around and say 'hello' to some people she hadn't seen in quite some time. A good portion of the people were older than herself but she remembered them well enough from her days at Hogwarts, she wasn't even all that surprised to see former professors in attendance. It was so nice seeing everyone come together for Adi and Benny's big day.

As the grooms made their way around to speak with their guests she sipped her drink setting it down when they reached her. Typical Adi complimenting her on HIS day. Hady laughed softly pulling him into a tight hug. "Thank you, who're picked these out did a lovely job." she teased playfully winking at him. Letting him go and stepping back she smiled. "You two look great and I know you'll be very happy together." She was sure of it. She was really glad that Adi wasn't still upset with her, it would've been really sad if he was.

They were going to former students wedding. This wasn't weird it was exciting. Cassie was just happy to get to dress up and have a night out with her husband. She always enjoyed those. Watching the wedding made her cry, but all weddings made her cry. She was emotional like that especially not that she was a mom everything made her tear up.

"This has just been beautiful. You two are amazing and I am sooooooo happy for you." She snapped with her excitement. Looking at her husband she couldn't help but remember when they got married. Oh the ceremony was so pretty and she just loved every second of it.


As they stood alone she looked at him with his question, "I don't know. I think that's a risk everyone takes, but if they love each other and are patient with each other." She hoped they would be together for good, but she knew things happened.

Benny moved with Adi, letting his husband take the lead. Adi had always been the more outgoing one of the two of them and most of the guests were more his friends than his own. He echoed the hugs with each of their friends, knowing they surely hadn’t made a mistake with choosing the most important that made up their attendants. “You’ve all made it perfect,” he assured Henric and the rest. Torturing Lux still? Of course. The dragon couldn’t take all the teasing of the hippogriff all the time. “Consider it a favor to give me a reprieve,” he teased with his own addition.

As for picking out the dresses Hady was commented on…that had been a mutual choice. “Thank you, Hady,” Benny said with a nod and a smile. “And congrats yourself.” Adi had passed on the news of the girl’s own nuptials and while she was still young, well at least younger than them, the former Gryffindor was happy that she appeared to find her own happiness like he had with his best friend currently beside him.

And there was Candace, whom Benny realized had actually come for him not Adi. And Margo. And the sisters, Jasmine and Janelle, each of the girls and Kace gaining a smile from him. “Thank you for sharing the day with us, Professor…Mr. Kitridge.” Oh they had been gone from Hogwarts for over four years but habits were hard to kill. And then Adi’s attention was back on him and his blushing. “I highly suspect that as well,” he quietly remarked back so only his other half heard. Red as an apple, tomato, Gryffindor tie…all likely color changes.

The music had been tuning up quietly as speeches and mingling had been happening, but eventually the familiar sounds of one song in particular reached Benny’s ears and caught his attention. Where My Love Goes by Lawson had been one of the songs Adi had sung to him on his birthday…the day he had proposed…so it had seemed fitting to be THEIR song. “Shall we, Mr. Atreyu?” he questioned, deliberately leaving out the second half of the name in jest. The young man offering a hand to his husband so they could begin.

Lux was grinning; she was so happy for Adi and Benny. "You two look so handsome. Of course you already knew that," she added, teasing her best friend. "You better not stop tormenting me! Just like I won't stop tormenting you." That was just their dynamic. She pulled Adi into a hug. "Really I am so happy for you. You deserve all the best in the world." Which she knew that Benny would give him. He had better, because Adi was one of the people who mattered most to her in the entire world and if anything happened there would be hell to pay.

And there was her little sister Hady! "You look absolutely stunning," she said as she pulled her into a hug. "Your husband is a very lucky man." Which he would surely know because otherwise he had no sense. Hady wouldn't marry someone with no sense.

“Benny and I did that together,’’ he told Hades. Mhmm. They had worked together to get all the stuff together for the wedding and the reception with their mothers doing quite a lot too. “Thanks, Hades!’’ He reached out to give her a squishy hug. He loved her SO much and hadn’t even thought of the news she had broken to him at the Leaky Cauldron and how it had made him feel. As long as she was happy, that was enough for him.

Handsome? That was him! And Benny too hehe “You’ve got your wish, Lux! You might regret this.’’ Cue the smirk and hugged her back. “I guess I’ll just have to deal with you then. This is just sad.’’ Awh! “Thanks, mermaid. I’m so happy right now,’’ he admitted.

Professor Cassie and her snapping! The guy had honestly missed the habit of hers and her bubbliness. “Thanks, Professor! It’s so great seeing you again.’’ And yes, he’d forever call her his Professor.

Adi squinted. Was that… MARGO? No way! Look at her all grown up! “Come on, Benny! More persons to meet.’’ And he practically dragged his man off. “Margo! HEY! I’m so glad you made it. You look great.’’ GOSH, he’d missed her. It was too bad that they had fallen out of contact after Hogwarts but they could change that now, yeah?

Next up were Jasmine and Janelle. “HI, girls!’’ Adi grinned at the sisters. “I’ve missed you guys, you know.’’ Kace was there too! Emmy had been invited too… would this make things awkward between the two? Woops. But the guy gave one of his first ever friends from Hogwarts a broad smile. “Kace! Hey, buddy!’’

What’s that?

Adi heard the song, recognising it immediately as the one he had proposed to Benny with. How appropriate! This also meant it was time for their dance. “Of course, Mr Rehman,’’ said the happy fellow. He took the offered hand without a moment’s hesitation.

So it had been a combined effort in picking out the dresses and everything else. That's the best way to go in her opinion and the knowledge of this made her smile even more. "Well the two of you did an amazing job." The color and style was lovely and it fit her perfectly. The guys had style, that was for sure. "Thank you, Benny," she smiled warmly knowing that Adi had shared her news with him. Oh! A hug! Hady hugged Adi tightly for a moment before letting him go.

Lux! Hady smiled brightly hugging her big sister. "Thank you, you look amazing yourself!" Two gorgeous women they both were. In fact everyone here today looked incredible. The comment made her laugh softly. "He's a smart man marrying me," she teased nodding her head.

The music that was playing changed and Hady's eyes shifted to follow Adi and Benny who were moving onto the dance floor. This must be their wedding song? How sweet!

Hand in hand he and Adi moved to the dance floor to dance as husband and husband for the first time together. It felt a tad awkward, at least to Benny, seeing as it naturally brought all eyes to him and Adi once more, each attentively watching them dance. He could feel the heat in his cheeks before he took a deep breath and stared up into the dark chocolate eyes of his better half. "Focus on Adi…just focus on him," he murmured quietly as he moved together across the floor. That was all that really mattered after all. Not even the music needed to be followed as the dragon was sure the hippogriff could manage that on his own.

Just the two of them. The rest of the world was just out there.

By the time the last refrain came along, Benny had dropped his head against Adi’s chest, just enjoying the moment. Though all too soon, or maybe none too soon, the last notes of the song drifted off and they could move out of the spotlight for even just a moment. Back to their table he was headed for some mildly along time and food for his no doubt hungry hippogriff. “Can’t have you starve on our wedding day,” he teased his husband.

Oh goodness.

Lux WAS sure that she was going to regret this. Okay, not really. Adi just liked to torture her, but it was all in good fun. "Oh, I'll make YOU regret this because I can dish back as good as I get," she told her best friend with a smile. She giggled as she hugged him for a moment longer before letting go. "You've been dealing with me since we were 12 and have managed fine." So really he would be able to for the rest of their lives. "You deserve it, Hippogriff. This is your big day and you're now married to the love of your life." Okay, maybe she was being sappy, but it was true. Adi and Benny were perfect for each other.

Aww. Her little sister was just the sweetest. Lux beamed at Hady as she pulled away from the squishy hug. "Thanks! The Best Woman needs to look her best, and I hope I did a good job." There was no way that she would have dropped the ball at Adi's wedding! "Oh, he very well is!" Giggle. "I'm just so happy for you and Frankie. You two have got something really special." She had supported them since day one though of course she still had to make sure that he wouldn't hurt Hady. Of course he had passed that test.

"Thanks again, Hades!'' Yep! It was all just perfect. Blue and orange always did look good together. And there was Lux, continuing to tease him. He simply grinned as they hugged. "Don't remind me,'' he pretended to sound wary of the fact he had put up with her for so long. But really, here's to more dozens years of friendship! He appreciated her and the sentiments so much. There were so many awesome persons in his life and Adi was so grateful.

Dancing time! Woot! "Hey, you guys should get on the dance floor too,'' he told Hades, Lux and the others.

Adi noticed the red of Benny's cheeks as they danced. There was no need for him to ask what was up. He already knew: the husband was shy and rather conscious of the fact that all eyes were on them. This fact didn't bother him one bit so he focused on holding Benny close. "Mhmm! Just focus on me. I like having all of your attention anyway.'' Cue the smirk.

While they danced, the guy softly sang the words to the song. He knew it in its entirety having memorised it for the proposal. But all too soon it was over and he reached for the hand against his chest. The songs continued to play for the rest of the guests to carry on with their dancing. But... food! Did Benny just say food? Adi grinned. "So right you are! Care to feed me?''

Smiling warmly, Hady gave the big brother one last quick hug. "It's simply lovely." The colors were an amazing choose and it all blended together so nicely. She couldn't be happier for both of the young men standing before her. "Go show everyone how it's done," she teased lightly gesturing at the dance floor as she watched the two grooms move away for their dance.

"Oh, I will, don't you worry," she smiled at Adi. She intended on dancing with anyone that wanted to dance even if she had to dance by herself.

Letting go of her hug with Lux she laughed. "You look amazing, don't you worry about a thing." That dress fit her wonderfully. Hady smiled happily. "Thanks, Lux. That means a lot coming from you. He makes me very happy."

Go show everyone how it's done

Well he didn’t know if they were fulfilling that instruction from Hady, but they managed not to step on each other’s toes, or trip, or make an outright fool of themselves so all was well. And Adi was singing along to the playing song as they danced which made it even better, much better in Benny’s opinion. His other half had a beautiful voice and it acted as a strong anchor among his nerves as he focused on his partner both dance and life.

Mention of food got his husband’s attention like expected and Benny couldn’t help but smile and chuckle. “I think that can be arranged,” Benny remarked in agreement to Adi’s request. There was a healthy selection of foods left for them at their table so they need not get up if they so choose, a perk of being the grooms. He almost asked where his other half wanted to begin until his eyes spotted a chicken dish that looked particularly yummy. Yep…chicken it was for Adi. The dragon scooping some onto a plate in front of them before cutting a bite and offering it.

“Open up…” he mused sweetly.

Hehe.

Adi was lucky that he was whisked away for a dance with the new husband, because otherwise Lux would have continued to tease him relentlessly. Then he would know just HOW well she could dish it back; that was more than enough of the reminder that he didn't want from her. Really though, most of her thoughts were towards him and Benny and how wonderful a couple they were. They definitely went to show how best friends could end up falling in love with each other.

What a love story.

"Thanks, Hady!" That meant a lot to her, really and truly. Beam. "I'm very glad for that, and know that he will never hurt you. If he did, he'd have lots of people to answer to, me and Adi being among them." But Frankie wouldn't do that, so there was nothing for them to worry about. Anyway... "Want to tear up that dance floor?" Adi's suggestion had Lux even more determined than ever to get her groove on.

Gosh.

Henny had outdone himself. Sure, Adi had helped in picking out the selection of foods but the spread before him looked way better than he had ever imagined. Could he eat it allll? But he was drawn away from the food to the only person that could catch his attention like that. Awesome! He was really going to be fed! With chicken too! Yum!

Adi did as was instructed and opened up. And while doing so, he checked out the dance floor. Yep, there was persons having a good time there! Even his mom and dad where out there. And his uncle Amir was dancing with someone he didn't recognise.

Everything was going sooooo smoothly!

Really Lux didn't have to thank Hady at all, she was only being honest. "He wouldn't hurt me. He's to sweet for that...and well I doubt he'd want to deal with Adi or anyone else if that ever happened," she laughed softly. There was a huge group of loved ones that always had her back no matter what she did. The husband would be doomed if he ever hurt her in anyway but it was nothing to worry about. It wouldn't happen.

Dancing. That's all Hady heard. "Yes! We can't just stand around and let them all believe they can dance, now can we?" They needed to show them all how it was done. "Come on!" Grabbing her big sis by the hand the young women headed out onto the dance floor.

"Me and Adi would tag team on him," Lux said with a smile while knowing full well that it wouldn't be necessary because Frankie wouldn't hurt Hady. For one thing he loved her, and for another he didn't have a death wish. Well, the little sister was laughing and knew the very same thing. Still, it was nice for her to know that she had loved ones who would always have her back. That was something that made everyone feel better, herself included.

Haha, woooo.

They were going to tear up the dance floor.

"Darn straight," Lux said with a laugh as she was led on to the dance floor. Happily she twirled Hady. This was just getting started.

Both of the grooms looked so happy. Well, today was their day to celebrate their love. Ava tried her best to conceal her sadness and thoughts about her major fight with Phillip. She watched Adi and Benny did their first dances as a married couple and smiled at them. There was a thought that if Phillip would be here, maybe he would take her to the dance floor.

Seriously, she needed to stop thinking about him.

The truth was, she could not just stop thinking. That fight was her fault... Well, Alice Lupin caused it but why on earth she just believed on her? And now they were on silent mode and Ava missed him terribly. Not to mention that she's currently in a wedding reception party where the romantic atmosphere was all around and... Okay, call her shallow or whatever but it's just weird to be here without her boyfriend.

So here the Gryffindor was, just sitting on her chair having a cider and didn't bother to make any social interaction with anyone which was so... un-Ava like. Maybe it would be better if she left soon.

As Adi obeyed, opening his mouth for him, he treated him to the food, letting him have the bite before removing the fork. Watching him as he took a quick bite of his own, Benny noticed the wandering gaze of his husband, moving to follow it and take in their guests. Friends…family. Any that might fall elsewhere perhaps, at least to him given Adi was far more popular in school than he himself had been. Most seemed to be having a good time, both their parents included in that number. The dragon couldn’t help the momentary flashback to the reveal of his and Adi’s relationship to the four adults. Dramatic to say the least but happiness and love had won it all over.

Thank Merlin.

“Seems perfect…” he mused with a smile. His stormy eyes flickering to Adi once more in his own enjoyment of the day before he turned away a short time later. Staring at his husband for too long was bound to get teasing. And look at Lux and Hady having fun together on the dance floor, the scene causing a bout of laughter from the former Gryffindor. “Leave it to those two.”

Adi watched Hady and Lux dancing for a while but his eyes moved to Ava after a while. Something was off with her and he bet he knew what it was. He wanted to speak to her sometime later. Sure, this was supposed to be a happy occasion for him but what kind of a big brother would he be if he didn't try to cheer her up? He tried to attract Lux's and Hady's attention then indicate over to Ava. Get her to dance with you, guys!

It seemed like Benny had noticed Hady and Lux too. Adi grinned. "They're having fun at least.'' But he wanted Benny's full attention. Mhmm! "Another dance sometime later? And mom would want to dance with you too, you know.'' He was sure of that because he remembered her telling him that. Had he mentioned it to Benny though? Adi's memory failed him there.

Hadleigh shook her head laughing still. "Oh, dear. Just so you two don't hurt him any, I might just like to keep that boy around." She was teasing as well. Frankie was hers and there was noway she was going to give up that blonde boy.

The two of them dancing was bound to be a sight. At least they were having a good time. Hady twirled around in a circling smiling at Lux. Everyone needed to get out onto the dance floor and join them.

Out the corner of her eye the brunette could see Adi...what was he doing though? She tilted her head slightly at him momentarily confused. Looking around she caught sight of Ava all alone and looked back to Adi. Ah, okay! With a bright smile she nodded towards the brother and grabbed Lux's hand. "Let's go get Ava to join us."

Time to make their duo a trio.

They were all so sweet, all of them. Cassie was delighted to be here and she loved just sitting and watching. Maybe Leo would like to dance later, but for now, she was enjoying watching Adi and Ben make their way around the dance floor and enjoy their day. She enjoyed seeing them so happy and thought about her own wedding day. It was so much fun as well.

Smiling at Adi she shook her head though, "Oh please Adi it's just Cassie now. I haven't been a professor in a few years, but if you are ever near the shop please come in. We have some delightful teas and anything your divination needs could ask for." Plus she was continuing on with her grandmother's work with muggles as well.
