And now you are going to get an entry about one of the more fun things Rhiannon's done this term . . .

NOT at school-

I almost said I wasn’t at Hogwarts. But that school is definitely not Hogwarts anyway, so that wouldn’t mean anything. So, I said I thought I was a bad prefect for having Connor around. That was nothing. Now I know I’m a bad prefect. How many prefects do you know who basically run away from school, even if it’s only for a few days?

Cause that’s basically what I’ve done. And that’s why I say I’m not at school. Because I’m not. I’m elsewhere. Namely, sitting on a beach, at shortly after sunrise, writing. I will explain how I got here, I think “here” is like Fiji or something, but first, what went on before. Mostly, classes. I wish I could say they’d gotten better. Transfiguration was fun. We learned how to make transfiguration foods. Basically, like canary creams, but out of danishes. And whatever animal we wanted. But then, it is Pierce’s class. So you have to expect something interesting. Even if I didn’t get to see her transfigure someone like last term, when she turned Josh into the capybera. I guess that is a downside to learning about transfiguration foods. It’s not as much fun when everyone’s doing it to themselves.

And we had our first Arithmancy lesson too. We learned about our Pinnacles. Once again, normal professor. Not a Ministry professor. And I don’t think Professor Shackleton could change her lesson to fit etiquette, or being ladylike, or whatever the stupid Ministry is trying to do to us. Anyway, she had everyone paint their calculations on the walls, so I know she’s not scared of the Ministry. I knew she was a fun teacher.

So lessons have been okay. I haven’t done a lot other than that, since I’m almost afraid to breathe wrong and get caught by someone connected to the Ministry. I have no idea how they interpret the “rules” to fit their agendas. Quidditch tryouts are over with, so except for waiting to find out who made the teams, I don’t even have that. Which could explain why I was willing to run away. Anyway, so back to how I got here. On this last Hogsmeade trip, Josh found me and basically asked if I wanted to go somewhere. And I think I’d go inside a tiger cage if it meant I didn’t have to worry about Wystan or someone popping out to say I’m breaking a rule. I’m a prefect, and I’m worried about breaking a rule. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? That I’m the one keeping people from breaking rules?

We went into an alleyway or something, and disapparated. Even though legally I can Apparate, we had to do Side-along Apparition, since I didn’t really know where we were going. And we ended up here. At a beach house. In like Fiji or somewhere like it. Owned by Josh, or someone in his family. All I know is that he knows enough about it that he was able to give me a tour. And now, instead of having to hide my writing in the dormitory, I can sit out on the beach, enjoying myself. Although I still know we have to go back soon. Don’t want one of those professors figuring out I’m gone.

My room at the beach house-

So guess what I found out. No, wait. I need to breathe for a minute. Then explain. I need to look at all this one thing at a time. Sort through everything that’s bouncing around in my head after yesterday and today. Starting at the beginning.

There was an incident right after the last time I wrote. While I was on the beach, a dog came up and wanted to play. Well, I guess he was more of an overgrown puppy. Anyway, he stole this from where it was lying next to me on the sand! And ran off. I chased after him, but tripped and banged my head on some driftwood. Next thing I knew, Josh was standing over me, asking if I was okay. And he had the dog with him. I think I’m lucky my head was pounding so much, because it kept me from putting two and two together and realizing that he probably had found this. If I had, I think I would have completely died of embarrassment. I mean, he’s the last person I’d want to read all this, right?

But he just kept trying to make sure I was alright. Although I think he was entertained by how angry I was at the dog. Which weirdly I think we’ve basically adopted. At least, I don’t want to murder him anymore. The dog, that is. I never really wanted to murder Josh. Who did some amazing healing spell that made the creature that was inside my head pounding on my brain disappear. Then we went for a walk. And talked about some things, which I guess should have tipped me off that maybe he had found out about everything. But for some reason I didn’t want to accept that. We hung out for a while, then I went to bed.

When I woke up this morning, I had this back. With some extras. Or, at least that’s one way to put it. Josh kinda took over a page, as is obvious. And he left me a sunflower and the most gorgeous necklace I think I’ve ever seen. I have a picture of it.

When I went out to ask him where it came from, he told me he had gotten it for me from France. France! And I’m pretty sure it’s not some cheap costume jewelry or anything. And then he asked me about my decision. I told him I was in. I don’t think he wanted to believe me for a while. We talked, and he asked about my drawings. And then he asked if he could kiss me.

I admit, I kinda freaked out a little. I hadn’t kissed anyone before. I know, that sounds pathetic, that I got to be seventeen years old and hadn’t ever kissed anyone. But the only person who had ever tried was the keeper at Jonathan’s wedding, and that was more of an attack. I certainly hadn’t asked for it. But this was different. And really, really good.

And then I went evil. We had decided to watch a movie, and he let me choose. And I found Hamlet. Hence my evilness. Of course, he fell asleep. But I fell asleep after the movie, so I guess we’re even. Except he used the dog to wake me up. He’s lucky I’m used to him teasing me by now.

Now I really don’t want to go back to not-Hogwarts. But I guess we have to. But then, I’m not going back the same person I was a couple days ago, am I?

Okay, I know it's been a little while, and this is way behind as far as the actual RP is concerned. But I'm going to continue this.

The Dormitory-

It’s been a while since I’ve felt the need to get my thoughts down. I’ve been busy, between prefect duties, regular school stuff, and trying to see Josh. And that’s why I find it’s now December and I haven’t even thought about writing anything down.

I lost points today. That’s one reason I finally thought about getting thoughts down again. Of course, the point loss was stupid. I can’t help it if my shoes made noise. And I wasn’t exactly in the state of mind to care, anyway. That cleanliness inspector lady just needs to realize students are people.

To go back, so this all makes sense: After getting back from Fiji, Josh and I went back to our respective schools. But I had a plan. Which made use of my artistic side. I had found out when his birthday was, and decided to do something meaningful. So I designed a ring, which I then sent the drawing of to Alyssa, since I knew her mother knew a person who could make it.

Which granted, meant I had to tell Alyssa that Josh was now my boyfriend. But I told her not to tell Jonathan, because I still don’t exactly know how my cousin feels about Josh.

Anyway, I finally got the ring a couple weeks ago, conveniently right as I was heading to Hogsmeade. It's silver, with an aquamarine in the center and tiny chips of emeralds inset as the snake's eyes. And of course, while I was there, I got to see Josh. We went to Madame Puddifoot’s for some cheesecake, and I gave him his present. He acted surprised, which I then found out was because he wasn’t used to getting presents from people. And then we started talking about his family, and he showed me some of his memories from when he was little. He was trying to explain why he spent so much time alone. The memories were so sad that I started crying, but I told him he didn’t have to be alone. That I was there for him. And then we ended up getting into an argument, and he said I couldn’t understand him. I don’t know that it made too much sense, but looking back, I’m weirdly happy it happened. I think we needed to get that out before we could really figure out how to be together.

But at the time I was broken. He had stormed out of the shop, leaving me behind. And I was angry enough at the time that I didn’t care, and just went back to school after a few minutes. But as soon as I got here, I panicked. I thought I’d lost him, and burst into tears. I managed to fall asleep, somewhat, through all that, but that was only the start. I kept going over everything, and then I think I had some sort of nervous breakdown. I couldn’t stay in the dorm, because Connor was there and looking at him only made me feel worse. So I fled, but only got to the corridor before I realized I couldn’t breathe. I collapsed to the floor, hoping no one would notice me. Because I still hadn’t told anyone about me and Josh, and I certainly wasn’t in the state of mind to talk about it then.

Of course, someone did notice me. A Slytherin girl stopped and asked if I was okay. I was a little rude to her, I guess, but the fact that she was a Slytherin just made me think of Josh more, and I didn’t want him to find out how upset I was. But she stormed off after I said I was fine. Even though I think it was probably obvious I wasn’t.

Eventually, I felt a sort of numbness cover my hurt, and I was able to make it through classes, although I didn’t really feel like doing homework. The fact that I didn’t have to worry about seeing him helped me stay that way. And even though I was, at that point, basically apathetic about everything, I even managed to work up enough courage to go to the Hufflepuff/Gryffindor game today. Which was where the point loss occurred.

I don’t even know why that lady was there. It was obvious she wasn’t watching the game. But at the break, I decided to walk around, and my boots made noise as I climbed down the stands. And I heard her say she was taking ten points off as I made my way toward the broomshed.

I thought I would be able to be alone there, but that was far from the case. As I stuck my head in, I not only saw Professor Vindictus, Mia, and some other students, but Josh was in there too. I quickly retreated, but he had seen me and came after me. We talked and he worked his way past my wall of numbness and found out everything. Which turned out to be a good thing, because now I know he hadn’t meant to shut me out, we hadn’t broken up, and hopefully I can avoid another breakdown.

that was an amazing entry my dear. I can tell you are really connected with the character. I love the relationship between Rhiannon and Josh, its really sweet, and complicated, like lima and maddox.
