Sixth Year was not exactly the easiest year for the two Hufflepuff girls, so they decided to get their friendship back on tracks during the summer by owling each other, hoping to trust each other unconditionally again. The letters are like a crossed diary, following their life over the summer in the magical home and in the muggle suburbs of London.

This fanfict will be written by both me and midget, who plays my character’s other half: Tammy Wood.

Flipper: Hi guys, my name is Filipa and I have been playing Eva for seven terms now. I have written a few fanfics, like When It’s Over or Can You Tell Me? and now I’m working on getting back my most recent fanfict.
This is Eva and Tammy’s crossed journal. I hope you enjoy reading it.

Tammy,

Hey, hey, hey.
I told you I would write, although I think you stopped listening to me ever since what happened in Greece. Not that I’m criticizing that.
I didn’t like the way things happened over this year and I want to make right it, because the truth is that I miss you and I need you to be by my side on our last year. I think we both feel that way, actually.

I know things haven’t been easy for you lately but someone told me that I should open up and my eyes and see what I was missing. We can’t ignore the past and pretend like we know the future… Because the past is the past and the future can be changed. I thought about the future if things kept on just like they are now and I didn’t like what I saw.

The other day I was reading a book that Anne, my best friend’s sister lent me and she had a note there. It was like this: The future will always depend of the need to forget the past. You won’t be able to get rid of it if you can’t overcome the mistakes that you’ve made and everything that hurt you. I wanna hear what you have to say about this, ~~though I am willing to call genius to whoever wrote that for Anne~~. There are no hidden intentions in this, but I think Anne left it there for a reason and I need an advice. Like… fast. Remember how I never gone out with anyone after dating Sebastian? Because I’ve been fine without love complications? Well… I’m not that fine anymore. I got into trouble. Like always. And I don’t want to hide anything from you or have to listen to you saying to don’t trust you. I’m not denying that I kept things from you but all I can say in my defense is that those were not my secrets to tell, the same way it was not my decision if you could hear about it or not. I also have to say you know everything about my life and I’d like to kept it that way…

I guess that’s it. I’m very good with these things… Letters are not my thing, I rather talk face to face, although I think that something good will come out of this time.

I’m sorry things didn’t work out so well this year, girl.
But I still miss you quite a lot.

Eva,

Its so nice to hear from you, I was beginning to think you weren't going to do it. But I do have to apologise right now, for my stupidity and my immaturity and the depression that you had to witness over these last years. I want you to know right now, that I couldnt function without knowing I could turn to you. And what I said on the train about you not understanding me...

It wasnt true. I promise you now, that nothing would change what we have as friends, as near sisters.

Enough blubbering on my part. I can read the letter now.

TeeHee. I've heard something like that before, it was in Greece aswell. We were at a church, something we had to do. Family friends funeral. I cant renember who said it, but it is real heartfelt isnt it? I re-read it a couple of times, smiling. Nattie and Helga heard it too. Helga thinks its beautiful and told me to say Hello, and feel free to drop by. And Nattie said hello. But as much as I would like to see you, I think sticking to letters might work for a while, until the trust is built back up. It will happen soon I promise.

So you spent a while with Anne then? And her brother? Thats the rather handsome one right? I would poke my tongue out there, but you cant see this, so just imagine I did.

Eva, you need my advice? Like I said, I'll always be here. Shoot it at me.

Uhh. Your stupidity and immaturity, you say? Don’t worry, I’m used to it *just kidding* No need to fly of the handle, girl. It’s just that we’ve known each other for a long time and there are breaks, fights and yelling in all relationships – yeah, I can tell that. Just look at my dysfunctional family. Lovely, isn’t it? And believe me, it’s even more dysfunctional than you think. My family seems to be perfect at hiding dark secrets and me and Ellie seemed to be perfect at finding them without meaning it.

As for the holidays… Yes, Danny is the rather handsome… whokissedmetheotherday.
I am now blushing, just for you know. I was so surprised, you know? He’s been my friend for like... forever and… it was odd. Anne, his sister, is a few years older than us, and she’s pretty cool. I think she wrote that sentence down meant for me, because of Danny. Danny was here at the house when you guys were all here: you, Ellie, Jared, Alyss and Sebastian. He’s the only muggle who writes when I’m at Hogwarts and he met my ex-boyfriend. I’m guessing Anne also knows a few couple of things, considering she wrote me once and that note… I just feel there’s something more behind it.

Me needs advice now.

Well, I guess it's Eva's turn now. This letter, things are a little different. I talked to Shannon and she agreed. It gets easier to understand they write to each instead of spending the summer together, because many times what we say might not be the whole truth. That's Eva's case.

Lucky you. Then again, I don’t know if Belle’s turned out to be a good thing or a bad thing. I hated it, for sure, but it brought… you know… certain stuffs to my life; very good stuffs I must say – and by that I included you.

Yeah, Danny kissed me and I have no clue what to do/say/feel about it. You’re happy about this? LOL. That is way more than I am. Honestly, I don’t know if something’s going to happen. I guess I’m waiting on someone to tell me that. Nothing else happened, just the usual chemistry we always had as friends… and a few sparkles. And, to answer you, I bet than Anne knows. She’s a fox like that.

Eva stopped writing right there. Her shock couldn’t have been bigger when she had first read the letter. The words were there, grey in the small piece of parchment. Tammy… as a Prefect? How could that happen?! Didn’t they know?! How they not know? Tammy was in mourning! The immature world blamer Tamzin Wood was in mourning! Tammy was the least indicated person for the job, because if she couldn’t take care of herself, how was she supposed to take care of hundreds of firsties?
E sat down at the desk to write the rest of the letter. When she finished, she cried.

YOU’RE A PREFECT!!! WOW!!
My blondie ish a prefect!!! That’s so great! How did that happen? I never knew you wanted to be a prefect, but I suppose you must be feeling awesomely well. Congratulations, girls.

It’s not weird. I think it’s better like this, for now. This is very grown up of us, you know? *pokes tongue out*

Aww, I gotta go *blushes* I’m meeting Danny and Anne and later on a friend of Lucy’s is throwing a dinner party at his fabulous house. I gotta tell, I though my godmother was the most anti-social person that existed on the face of the earth and now I’m figuring out that she had a boyfriend over the past months and that she has very, very, hugely wealthy friends. I mean, how did this happened? I really thought she didn’t like to have many people in her life…
Adults… So confusing. AND ABOUT TO BECOME ONE!!! Yay!!!

Eva gave the letter to her owl, Snow, and stepped away from the desk, falling onto her bed. When had she become such a fake person? By comparison to her twin sister, Eva concluded Ellie could be a lot of things, but she would never be false. That feeling hurt her more than she had expected. It was something in her heart that almost didn’t let her breathe.
She was lying in her bed after lying to her best friend, her beautiful dark brown hair spread on her pillow while she let the tears roll down her face. She reminded another characteristic of hers in the process, the one that had made her finish writing the letter, perhaps her most important characteristic: she was loyal. She wiped her tears with her left hand, although they kept falling. Yes, that was it. No matter what happened, she was loyal to Tammy and she’d be always one step behind her whenever Tammy needed.

Closing her eyes, Eva forgot the tears and held tight to her pillow. Anne had told her she was pretty but she insisted on pushing away every boy that wanted to be near her. It was true, now more than ever. With a sigh, Eva fell asleep and waited for prince charming that would take her far away. From her family, from her school… from Tammy.

After all, it seemed like she also needing a little healing, perhaps more than she had thought.
