Hey, I'm Rachel and this is my second fic about my school Charrie Vannie.
It's a diary this time and starts during the summer befre her fourth year.

I’m a midget and I know it. I’ve always been small. I’m pretty sure that some day Hollie and Cloe are going to tower over me. That will be terrible. There four years younger than me and I bet there going to end up taller than me. Well isn’t that perfect!
Vanessa Alexus Corbette is my name and I'm actually proud of my height, all 5 foot 2 inches of it. Tell me when it rains you tall people! I’ll be down here waiting. Just don’t let me be the last to know.

This is my diary. The diary of a midget you might call it. And I will be recalling things, events in here. I may as well just give the book a name. Oh. I’m not very good at names. My middle name gives that a lot of justice. But really what mother calls there daughter Alexus! I sound like a car! At least its not as bad as my mothers name. Thank goodness that I didn’t inherit that. Vanessa Winifred does not match at all!
I’ll think of a name and then come back to you. Give me some time though. I tend to get distracted rather easily. Especially if someone called Miles is in the room.

Miles Parker. My boyfriend. But I’ll tell you more about him later.

This made me gigglesnort. *pets Vannie* She should be glad Evangeline doesn't know her middle name. She'd find it pwetty and probably end up calling her Lex or something.

I want to tell you. I found a shirt that was for sale at my work that so made me think of Vannie. It said "I'm not short, I'm fun-sized"

I love the title of this! my school charrie is only 4ft 8in tall so your charrie would tower over her so dont feel bad about being short!!

Sooooo Entry number 2 that i've had written for ages


It was the 21st August. It is my birthday tomorrow and I am going to be 14. My birthday always fell during the holidays, one of the only good things about being born in august. It also meant that was nearly always the youngest person in my year group.
I was born in 2051, the year after my parents had gotten married. They had a short marriage. My father died when I was 5 years old in a terrible flying accident. I was banned from having a broom from then on. Anything like that reminded my mother of Glynn (That’s my father.) I can’t really remember my father, I was too young to remember him not being here really doesn’t upset me that much.
Anyway back to what I was writing about. Oh yes. Tomorrow is my birthday and I actually don’t think that any of my friends know that is, not even my boyfriend actually. I might have mentioned it. I can’t remember. Well anyway I wasn’t really expecting any presents other than what my mother and sisters would get me.
So here I am, the day before my birthday writing in my diary, which I still haven’t thought of a name for. Okay, I’ve thought of a fair few but they don’t really suit a book. Abbey, Danni, Carly were just to name a few and I didn’t like ANY of them. Maybe I should just give up. It would probably be easier.

But then I thought of one. It was so easy. And I don’t really know why I didn’t think of it straight away. It was my favourite name. and I really wanted to name one my children the name. It was so obvious and I had to use it .

Poor Vannie, losing her dad at such a young age. (Rhiannon lost both when she was four, but that's a different story.)

She needs to tell Miles when her birthday is, so he can get her awesome gifts.

22nd August. My birthday. World I am now 14. It doesn’t feel any different. I’m still the same old Vannie. I just happen to be a year older and own a few more plants. Yes my mother decided to give me plants for my birthday. Not that I don’t own like a million and one plants already or anything. My room is covered in them, not that I’m that good at looking after them. If I’m truthful I suck at looking after them.
So I like woke up today, walked down the stairs and WHAM. Stood in the middle of the room was a yukka tree, with a giant yellow bow around it. My mother had really over done it this year. I mean, this tree was almost as big as me! I like ambled towards this tree and stared at it. I had been a little untrue about the almost bit. This tree WAS bigger than me.
I think I’ll write more later. I’m still not over the shock.



Okay. Shocks gone now. But still why get me a tree? Not like im gonna look after it. I kill plants more than they live. I watered it a little bit and I knew that’s all I would be doing. My mother won’t let me touch it again.
Note to self: Ask for a birthday present next year.

I had to take my sisters to Diagon Alley today. Taking the twins anywhere is a bad idea, that’s why I tend to not like doing it. But today was different. They would be going to France in a few days and I wouldn’t see them for a long time. No annoying twins around. Lucky me. So I’d sat them down in the leaky cauldron after an afternoon on ‘shopping’ and I really did expect anything of any interest to happen for the rest of the time that we were in Diagon Alley for. Well that was until I heard his voice. His voice that I hadn’t heard all summer. His voice that I had missed a lot. He’d had a little blonde girl with him, who I’d presumed what his sister. She didn’t speak a lot. Well actually she didn’t say a word while she was there. It was weird and I wasn’t used to it at all. But she disappeared, along with my sisters and we were alone. I was quite happy that they’d gone. I hadn’t seen Miles all summer and I didn’t really want an audience. The afternoon turned out to be very interesting. A little sad maybe but interesting. And what I found out made me love Miles even more. I don’t know why though. Really it should have made me jealous but it didn’t. I really can’t wait till school begins now and I’ll be able to see him every single day. The year would be good. Very good.
