Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #50 - Headmaster Dumbledore ended his speech on yet another high note. This time, something about lizards and cake. She never bothered to decipher his messages as they would only result in a migraine. The old man in question was now swirling his hot cocoa with his wand and had charmed his hat so that it bore vivid orange and pink stripes. Katie watched her headmaster with conflicting emotions. He was so hard not to love and adore, but then again…he was missing a few marbles. But maybe that was the reason so many loved him so much. He winked knowingly at her. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #51 - Gape Well bred English ladies did not gape. Well bred English ladies were expected to blush prettily and turn away from a spectacle, or to merely ignore the entire event. However, Katie Bell did not aspire to be a well bred English lady. She was a rough, quidditch playing, tree climbing and cursing (in the hexing way) witch. So when Marcus Flint walked onto the Quidditch pitch wearing a lion costume instead of his green robes, Katie nearly fell off her perch as she laughed. The entire student population was silent, gaping at the furious Slytherin captain. But Katie kept laughing. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #52 - Chicken There was something to be said about a man who could cook. And cook well. But there had been more words exchanged on the subject of a man who couldn’t even make toast without burning the house down. However, as Katie sat at a perfectly set table for two, with a glass of red wine for company, words completely evaded her. Marcus came back with their dessert, a question in his eyes. She shut her eyes and licked her lips, “That was the best chicken I’ve ever tasted, Marcus…” Marcus grinned sheepishly, “I’ll be sure to tell the house elves.” |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #53 - Snowball Harry Potter prided himself on being champion of the snowball fights held among the Gryffindors every winter. He had beaten Oliver Wood, the Weasley twins, Ron, Neville, Seamus, Hermione and everyone else who bothered to partake in their holiday cheer. As he crouched behind his fort this winter, seeking out his very bright-headed prey, a solid THWACK sounded the moment he felt himself stagger forward. He turned and saw Katie Bell dancing a jig and leaping into the arms of one Marcus Flint. It seemed they only needed a Slytherin and Gryffindor to work together to take him down. Hmmmph. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #54 - Snappish The moment the words left her mouth, Katie mentally cursed herself for letting her emotions take her control and tear it to shreds. She watched Oliver’s face crumple in hurt/anger/disappointment? She wished she could take the words back, but knew that no amount of apologizing would give her the forgiveness she wanted. Oliver walked away from her. Away from their relationship, and all she could do was kick a tree. Which only resulted in her hopping around in pain. “Bloody stupid tree! Even stupider Oliver!” A laugh came from behind her and she groaned as Flint said, “Snappish, are we?” |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #55 - Chocolate Marcus watched in fascination as the Gryffindor Chaser inhaled her dinner. The lamb had practically dissaparated from her plate, even the peas had done a marvellous disappearing act. Either Katie Bell was practicing her skills with Charms, or she was just a really…really speedy eater. He was amazed. Eating the way she did, the girl should have been able to give Millicent Bulstrode a run for her money, but this girl was up in the air and scoring goals at every opportunity. All thought left his mind when Katie started eating the chocolate. Merlin, she looked so delectable right then. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #56 - Whomping Willow Katie watched the tree limbs whip around angrily, the knots in the trunk tighten and the way the roots seemed about to be ripped from the earth. The Whomping Willow was a thing of beauty…in all its danger, with all the warning signs that any other normal person would adhere to, it was just incredibly beautiful. She couldn’t help but compare the Willow to Marcus. He was danger, trouble and wickedness…yet she could not resist him. A branch scored her cheek, while strong arms pulled her away. Marcus held her tight, fear in his eyes, “Don’t do that again, Bell!” |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #57 - Teem The stadium was teeming with excited Quidditch spectators. Despite the fact that this meant more publicity for the team and players, Katie scowled darkly at the crowd. They were clad in gray and green respectively, showing the colours of the Holyhead Harpies and the Falmouth Falcons. Everyone knew they were only here to watch what Marcus Flint would do next in his failing attempt to woo her. Maybe he would actually be stupid enough to throw the game so she’d date him. Maybe not. A Falcon slammed into her and she slid off her broom, landing squarely on Marcus’ lap. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #58 - Owls Katie didn’t like birds. She hated the fact that hundreds flew over her head every morning, with a 100 percent chance of adding a new ingredient to their breakfast. She loathed having them peer at her with their beady eyes while she read her post. This was why, on her 17th birthday in the school, when a large eagle owl flew into the dormitory, she had shrieked and jumped back onto her bed. But the simple envelope in its beak intrigued her. Reading the message, she grinned at the owl and petted it almost lovingly. “Dinner on me? – Marcus Flint.” |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #59 - Dictionary The Prophet described Flint as charismatic, urbane, sophisticated, debonair and a number of other adjectives that had Katie working hard to keep her dinner, breakfast and last night’s biscuits forage down. As if a light bulb had flashed above her head, Katie stood up, summoned a few things towards her and borrowed her husband’s owl to post the hastily packed package. Marcus walked into the kitchen and kissed her before pouring himself a cup of coffee. “What are you so happy about, darling?” “Nothing special, dear.” Of course, the editor would be shocked to find a dictionary waiting for him. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #60 - Patronus Suffice to say that when everyone else in the DA produced beautiful silver forms of swans, panthers and other graceful creatures, Katie had been reluctant to perform her Patronus. So, while everyone conquered the charm, she pretended to just have a mental block on it. Nobody needed to know her THAT personally. However, when she was alone in the bathroom late one night, Katie pulled her wand out and decided to try out the charm. “Expecto Patronum!” She grinned as the silver creature erupted out of her wand, and circled around the bathroom. Yup, the troll would shock the others. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #61 - Transfiguration Katie Bell, Gryffindor first year, was late for her first class. She had had the rotten luck of running into the one and only, Peeves the Poltergeist. Since then, she had run into a fake door, three wrong staircases and one dead-end corridor. Turning back around the corridor, she shrieked as a large figure loomed before her. A troll? In the castle? The troll opened it’s mouth to reveal jagged teeth… “Lost?” Phew…it was just a Slytherin. A really big, really troll-ish Slytherin. “Can you help me find my Transfiguration class, please?” The troll turned out to be Marcus Flint. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #62 - Pensieve Dumbledore stirred the contents of his Pensieve, stopping at random thoughts and watching them one by one. Some, like the event with Harry after his fifth year, brought tears to his eyes, and there were those that made him laugh, like the time a twelve year old Hagrid had tried to feed flobberworms. One thought had him torn between laughter and plain bafflement. The thought played out before him while he sucked on a Sugar Quill. He’d found Marcus Flint spying on the portrait of the Fat Lady, and later Katie Bell lurking about the dungeons. Both received detention. Together.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #63 - Future Everyone wonders about their future. The questions of “Will I be a successful person?” or “Will I be happy?” or even, “Will I still be alive?” are always thought, if not heard. Though most people are more than willing to just see what life has to throw at them, there are those who take a short cut. Whether they are true remains to be seen. Katie Bell was not one who believed in the jargon that Trelawney spouted everyday in class, but she was getting desperate. She finally asked the Oracle (in a whisper) “Will we beat Slytherin on Saturday?”

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #64 - Egg on Katie Bell did not consider herself a particularly bloodthirsty or even violent person. But there was nothing she would have liked more than to see that smug, self-satisfied look on Flint’s face be wiped off and replaced by one of pure shock. So on that rainy afternoon, hovering in mid-air, and trying desperately to hold on to the Quaffle, Katie sent a wink to Fred Weasley. “Go on, Fred! You know you want to plant one on his bum!” She yelled, egging him on in his pursuit of the Slytherin captain. Psyched and egged on, Fred sent the Bludger soaring.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | For my friend Melissa, who is not an SSer, but is enjoying the SS100 all the same. She's a Katie/Marcus shipper (got me into it) and requested this prompt..so enjoy, Mels. Drabble #65 - Dungeon Dungeons were generally dank, eerie and just plain creepy. The daily trek down to the pits of Hogwarts usually made Katie’s knees go weak. It was bad enough they had classes in the dungeons…but they had to have it with not only Snape, but the Slytherins too! And now, sitting in the sun by the lake, she actually contemplated this note. Was she crazy? And did this person seriously think she was going to actually do it? Obviously somebody had been Bludgered too many times. She peeked at the note again, “Katie, meet me in the dungeons tonight. Please. M”

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #66 - Feast Her stomach rumbled loudly in the silence that rang straight after one of Wood’s speeches. Oh Merlin…she thought as every eye in the locker room was drawn to the source of the noise. Her cheeks flushed pink, but her eyes glared defensively at Wood (who had opened his mouth so admonish her for her lack of respect). “Well, don’t glare at me so! You were the one who went on with your ‘Quidditch is holy’ speech. It’s time for the Halloween Feast. And my stomach knows it! Can we go now?” Oliver looked taken aback, but nodded his dismissal woodenly. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #67 - X-Tinguish Alicia had been teaching them a Muggle children’s game, where they sat in a circle and each took turns in naming a word in alphabetical order. It was pointless, but therein lay the appeal. Katie was rubbish at the game, but only because every time her turn came her mind would go blank and she could never recall a proper word. “Wisteria!” Oliver announced smugly from beside her and Katie groaned as she tried to think of a suitable word. Marcus Flint strolled into her line of vision and she gritted her teeth in annoyance. Alicia coughed, right…her word “X-tinguish”. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #68 - Pace A tall man with raven-black hair paced outside a locked door. Every now and then his eyes would dart to the carvings on the door and he would step towards it, only to resume his pacing. Inside, a blonde woman lay atop a mountain of pillows, her eyes bright and her skin shining with a sheen of perspiration. Her breathing was laboured, and every few seconds her face contorted in pain. A desperate shout was followed by an infant’s wailing, and the man stopped pacing to barge into the room. The weary woman smiled at her husband, “Sebastian…meet our Katie.” |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | A/N : I'm proud to be Scot. Drabble #69 : Plaid Katie had always had an aversion to plaid. Be in on a jacket, skirt, hat or tie, plaid just happened to be her most hated pattern. But as she walked towards her soon to be husband this morning, she couldn’t help but reverse her opinion on the offending design. She was in a church, in the Scottish highlands, and getting married to a Falcons Chaser (who happened to have a Scottish mother). He looked dashing in a kilt. And the plaid was a beautiful array of colours (Slytherin colours). She smiled shyly up at him. Marcus was dashing in plaid. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Garret Crocker Second Year | Drabble #70 - Hogwarts, a History Most Hogwarts students have not bothered to pick up a copy of ‘Hogwarts, A History’ but those who have all knew that Katie Bell was not only worthy of recognition for being Captain and star Chaser of the Holyhead Harpies. Those who have perused those pages knew that she had fought to defend Hogwarts and the Wizarding world alongside the likes of Harry Potter, Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The copy of the book Katie owned was missing that part. When asked why she did not buy a revised edition, she simply answered “I’m a quidditch player first.” |
