Yes, he so is! I hate it when people just mark him as evil because of what he had to do. There is so much more evidence that he's on the Order's side than he's on Voldemort's side.

I can't believe that there are acyually more hufflepuffs than slytheriins here - I mean, it's fair enough - but it's actually quite surprising! Sev was one of the main reasons I wanted to be a slytheirn in the first place...

Neither can I - his presence has always seemed so necessary, even when we didn't think of him as a major part - I guess now we know that he really is important to the script...

Ok - I have a question, based entirely on the theory of Lily/Sev - I'm a believer of that ship, but how many of you think it's true? I reckon that Sev realised he loved Lily, but by which time he was too late, which is why he hates Harry so much (every time he looks into his eyes he sees her) which would explain the importance of Harry having Lily's eyes.

Kinda sorta what I think, only I believe he and Lily were friends, or something like that, during Hogwarts, which is why Slughorn says she was so good at Potions (coincidence that Slughorn says Harry has inherited his mother's Potions skills when Harry has Snape's old book? I don't think so). I think that was a reason Snape hated James so much- James married Lily, etc, and maybe one of the reasons he joined the DE. Then, when he realized Voldy was going to kill the Potters, he joined Dumbledore's side. And I agree with you about Harry's eyes.

Oooh I like that theory - yeah that's a good point - but in the pensieve the friction between them was unbelievable, could someone like that really have been friends with a *cough* mudblood? But yeah that theory is the best I've heard in a long time *serious thinking time*

What I was thinking was, he called her a Mudblood so that no one would know they were friends or whatever they were. After he called her that, I thought she might have refused to talk to him again... I just thought she seemed so stunned that he would call her a Mudblood. *glomps back*

I believe Snape harboured some feelings for Lily. You know how Dumbledore said Lily was never meant to die that night? And that's why her sacrifice saved Harry? I reckon Snape bargained with Voldemort for her life. Voldemort didn't want Lily dead; the only reason he killed her was because she stood between him and Harry. So in a ironic twist of fate, Harry owes his life to Snape.

I don't think they were friends, just that maybe they were Potions partners? And he had hidden feelings for her. Looking at Harry reminds him of what he did; he saved Harry when he was trying to save her.

I totally agree with you. I think Snape tries to save Lily from being killed, but then Voldemort kills her anyway, so Snape doesn't trust him anymore and joins Dumbledore. And the first thing that came to my mind when Slughorn said that Harry had inherited his mother's skills in potions, was that Lily and Snape had been partners in potions. But then again, that might not be true, since it would be pretty weird that a Gryffindor and a Slytherin team up.

When will you announce the co-presidents? I'm just so curious.

The only thing is, Dumbledore says in the Pensieve during Karkaroff's trial that Snape joined his side before Voldemort's downfall, meaning Snape joined Dumbledore's side before Lily's death.

"The Umbreakable Vow" We all know how important this is going to be. But don't you think Dumbledore would have asked Snape to take somekind of vow when he left the Death Eaters? And would it have any consecuences later on?
