Percy Jackson is a half blood, but not in the wizard sense of the word. His father is Poseidon, God of the Sea. Percy lives a pretty normal life in New York, at least if getting attacked by monsters everyday is your definition of normal. He is on good terms with the gods and is astounded when they summon him to Mt. Olympus. They tell him their is a girl, she is both a demigod and a witch. She is the daughter of Hades, entrapped in a spell that kept her from growing up she has remained 16 for over 100 years. She is now in danger, one wizard(Lord Voldemort) has found out about her extraordinary powers and wants her for his army. Percy mission is to go to Britain and protect her. She will be in the safest place found in Britain, Hogwarts. And so Percy Jackson was sent to Britain along with his loyal companions Annabeth and Grover.

Harry Potter is a wizard, he is used to having to deal with surprises and isn't scared easily. But when Professor Dumbledore told him that he would be in charge of watching over a girl that had just recently transferred into the school, he was honored until he was told she was basically the daughter of death. Now Harry, along with Hermione, Ron and of course Ginny, must deal with her and the others that come along to Hogwarts.

Although he is 32, he is the equivalent of a sixteen year-old human because satyrs mature half as fast as humans do.Grover is the best friend of Percy Jackson, with whom he has an empathy link, meaning if one of the two dies, the other will probably die, too (or permanently left in a vegetative state).

Grover is shown to be a bit cowardly, getting afraid easily. When this happens, his eyes turn to slits like a goat's and he starts eating furniture, but he always tries to defend his friends and is very loyal. He also can cope with dangerous situations fairly well, for example, when he was kidnapped by Polyphemus the cyclops. He is known to like enchiladas, mentioned several times throughout the series.
