"Go right ahead." Delilah said with a laugh, "I'll watch from here."

Monica stood and hugged Ray. "Ray may I introduce you to my friend Bianca Riches. Bianca, this is Ray Hufflepuff."

Next to Monica Bianca was wearing a Silver swimsuit. She looked up at the Dark haired boy in the yellow and black. The first thing she noticced was that he was very cute. "Hello Ray. My name is Bianca. It's nice to meet you."

Excelsior said, "Well, I think you stand on it this way." He began to tentatively balance himself on the surfboard. "I've heard descriptions about how it's done, let me give it a try." With that, Excelsior drove forward into the surf.

"Oh hello Bianca it's nice to meet you" Ray replied as he looked at Bianca... She was so beautiful and he felt as if he was drown to her but he went back to reality as soon as he remembered Monica.
"So what are you up to?"

"Go Excelsior." Delilah cheered while she let out a small laugh. "You have alot more courage then I do." She turned and saw someone over with Bianca and Monica. She stuck out her hand and said "Hello, I'm Delilah Longbottom." she cheered herself on for remembering her correct last name.

Monica laughed for the first time in weeks. "Lilah this is Ray from school! I can't believe you forgot!" She chuckled. She had forgotten how good it felt to laugh. "I'm getting a tan, I look like death warmed over."

Ashleigh looked over at Draco. What do you say we get changed and get Emmy and go join the children on the beach?

"What'd I forget?" Delilah asked with another laugh. "Then hearing what Monica said to Ray she said "Thats a really good idea. I think I'll join you. And nice to meet you Ray."

Excelsior came back onto the beach none the worse for wear, having encountered a small wave which had knocked him off the surfboard but it had still been a lot of fun. "That was great!", he announced. "I have a feeling it does get a lot easier the more you do it, just like anyone else. Who else would like to give it a try?"

Delilah looked at the board. "Why not." she said to herself more then Excelsior. "I'll try."

Bianca put on herr shades and laid back on her towel, resting her head against Monica's shoulder. She looked up at Ray and felt somehow drawn to him, she couldn't explain it. She looked at Excelsior and smiled. "Hey Excelsior you looked good out there!" She smiled.

"Thanks Monica," Excelsior called, handing the board to Delilah. "Just enjoy yourself and kind of roll with it, it's fun!" He watched to see how Delilah would do on her turn with the surfboard.

Delilah took the board and swam out towards the waves. Stopping she tried to balance herself while the wave carried her and the board. Just when she was about to have reached the bottom she fell off. Grabbing the board she swam back to her friends. "Wipe out." she said handing Excelsior the board.

"That wasn't so bad for your first time," Excelsior said to Delilah. "I know we'll both do a way better job the next time we go out, and we'll really be good at it by the time our vacation is over!"

"You bet!" Delilah said with anthouism. "By the time summer is over we'll be pros." she added.

"Can I give it a try?" Bianca asked softly.

Delilah turned to Bianca, Excelsior had said anyone could try. "Of course!" Delilah said.

"Sure!", Excelsior responded enthusiastically, turning the board over to Bianca. It was as much fun watching people using the surfboard as it was to actually try it.

"Yes, and everyone back home will be envious of us," Excelsior winked at Delilah. "We'll be true legends."

Delilah laughed. "We'll have major bragging rights." she added with a teasing grin.

Bianca had been paying attention as Excelsior and Delilah had tried using the board and she thought she might have it figured out. She waded out in the surf until it was about thigh high and then slid her belly across the board and lying on it she paddled out until she felt a wave coming on. She stood and got her balance and rode the wave back in to the beach laughing all the way. "That was fun!"

"Nice job, Bianca!" Delilah exclaimed, she was a natural. "That was awesome. Don't you agree Excelsior?"

"Wow, that was great!", Excelsior exclaimed. "Delilah, I agree with you completely. Talk about becoming pros, I would have sworn you've done this before, Bianca. That was really impressive." As far as Excelsior was concerned, Bianca's surfing technique appeared nearly flawless.

"Thanks. There is a beach near Beauxbatons and I have been watching zee Surfing for a long time. I guess it just paid off." She smiled.

"Yeah, I'd say it did," Excelsior told Bianca. "I guess maybe you're what they call a natural. Don't you agree, Delilah?" Excelsior was excited at the prospect of becoming as skilled on the surfboard as Bianca was.

"Yea, it did." Delilah said with a laugh. "Your the one who is going to have the bragging rights. Totally!" she added.

Bianca laughed musically, she got that a lot. "I guess you are right. Things seem to come easily for me."

Monica laughed, "Yeah that's right!" She looked over her shades as she pulled Zachery's latest letter out of her bag and read it again. He was always full of surprises and it would be a really happy surprise if he could come and tap her on the shoulder now.
