Charlie felt a sense of dread run through his body. Katy and Avery had left at midnight, he knew instantly where they had gone. The boy was in great danger, this boy who might be the hope of all of them, along with Bianca's unborn child. Charlie had a million questions, but had to wait for Kelly to return before he could get any answers to any of them, maybe. He looked at Ray, the only person left in the room. "Do you know why Katy and Avery left at midnight?", he asked. Charlie figured they would all be heading back to Julie soon. He just hoped for the safe return of Katy and Avery, or were they just supposed to go there and join them?

"Im sorry I wish I can help you but I don't have a clue and which is weird is that they fleed at midnight... That means they didn't want to get caught and seen" Ray said as he thought of all the possibilities... Julie! No what does she want from Julie, and with Avery, she would put him in a lot of danger... No Katy loved her son, Julie! No it can't be Ray thought to himself.

"I'm really concerned about them," Charlie said. "It doesn't make sense that they would take off in the middle of the night like that, Katy must really be in search of something. I have a really bad feeling about where they've gone, and I can tell you're thinking the same way I am. Why else would they run off without notice?"

The light of Katy's wand shimmered on the walls of the cave. She stepped in deeper, her footsteps echoing wetly around the cave. This was where they'd first heard the story of the four founders, where everything went downhill fast, she thought ruefully. Avery, scared and chilly, began crying softly. She secured her arm tighter around him, now in the center of the cave, the light of day far behind her. She held her breath and waited for a sign.

Bianca got up and washed her face, gazing at herself in the mirror she wondered if she was feeling all this because she really wanted a baby, and her body was tricking her, or if she really was pregnant.

"Im concerned as well" Ray said as he moved towards the kitchen. "Wait I will use the Magie-Talkie" Ray said as he pulled his wodden cat and placed it on the table in front of them. He tapped his wand on the head of the cat and said.

Charlie didn't want to worry Bianca, especially in her condition. He knew if anyone was going to tell her, Ray would be the best one. It wasn't in his place to tell Bianca that Katy and Avery had gone to Julie for who knew what reason, that they had left without saying where they were going and that Ray had not picked up and confirmed their location? Better for Ray to do that. "Everything's going to be okay," he lied.

"Well I know... I tried to stop here but she said something about recruiting aurors and other people that can help us... I still don't understand it... But she seemed in a hurry and she said something that if we wait till Ray finished strategies we will never fight back..." Kelly said as she stood next to Charlie.

"We know where she went to," Charlie sighed. "There was nothing anyone could do to stop her, I guess. I personally think we have to go and get her out of there, Avery is in a lot of danger and he's just a little boy. Katy made a very foolish decision by going out there without permission."

"No we are not going after her... It is too dangereous and it might get us all killed for nothing because we don't know if she really returned to that place we don't have any clues... So the best thing we can do is just keep on contacting her with the Magie-Talkie" Ray said as he moved back to the little wodden object and used the communication device again.

"No I'm sorry.. It seems as if the magic that connects both toys has been removed or cut or just nulified... I just hope she isn't acting all hero now... I don't need to worry about her as well... I have to much on my mind" Ray said as he got up and started moving around the house.

Katy's eyes filled with tears as she clung to Avery. Get in touch with temptation? What a load of dragon dung, she thought. Still, something tugged at her... you've come this far....

Her breath caught in her throat as she lowered Avery to the cave floor. She cast a light Cheering Charm over him; he looked up at her and smiled, his eyes wide with trust and innocence. "Protego Totalum," she muttered, drawing a circle around him. She looked at him for a moment; it took everything she had to turn and progress further into the cave.

"The magic was cut off?", Charlie couldn't believe it. It was like his worst fears were coming true. It seemed that Katy and Avery were both in grave danger, he feared for both of them. He wanted to go to help her, but Ray was right, it was too big a risk, and he knew that Bianca shouldn't be placed into danger like that, and he didn't want Kelly to get hurt, either. He felt helpless to do anything.

Ray tried Avery little wodden communicator but again, Ray felt a wall seperating the two wodden objects, but he could feel the constant connection between the objects... The objects haven't been destroyed.
"What really bothers me is that this type of magic is totaly untracable and only I can end it... Even if Katy was caught or is in danger, and somebody found the device, they still can't stop the connection.. And if they tried to destroy them... Well I can tell you that Avery and Katy would be fine... It just seems that where ever Katy and Avery are right now must be protected from all kinds of exterior magic..." Ray explained as he tried one more time to communicate with Katy or Avery but with no success.
