Nadia turned around, regarding Jaren strangely on the seriousness of his tone. She turned and found Saturnina there, who soon swooped like the other to her meeting. Nadia took the letter from her paw, still completely clueless to what this was suppossed to be about, and shook it a bit to unfold it and read the envelop. Only then, her experssion changed from that of confussion to total, complete bewilderment and panic.

"Oh dear." So little did she realized of anything around her, she dropped the arm AND the owl it was perching consecuently, leaving it to hoot annoyed as it flew away. She stared at the envelop, pacing up and down the room, as if thinking of anything but opening said envelop. She was... ever so not ready... she paced more and more and her stomach started to turn uncomfortably. She would soon need to use Zekke's toilet...

"You're all welcome to the kitchen and whatever's in it, trust me. If you'd like I can fix you something to eat -" Zekke answered Nadia's question and just stared at Ganymede.

"We're getting visitors?" He blinked and looked a bit puzzled as he tried to piece two and two together.

As he wrapped his mind around Ganymede's words, Virgil landed on his shoulder and hooted and dropped an envelope into his hands.

Momentarily distracted, he looked at her and she looked back with somewhat of a disapproving frown. She hooted and churred again as if saying, "You could have done better!" and he glowered a bit darkly.

"I know, Virg. Now scoot."

With a last churring sound, Virgil flew back to settle on the railing and watch as he opened his envelope.

A misgiving look on his face, he opened the envelope, took out the report card, and then refused to look at it.

"I'm almost afraid to look," he muttered. "I'm sure it was disastrous."

OOC: That was her parents.. Mother and Father.. its her Grandfather this time.. and Silk.. but Silk travels in disgiuses so you won't recognize him. *hee hee*


:: Ganymede nodded, "I stole some money and ran off. My parents don't know.. they aren't home. But of course my Grandfather must have stopped by with his friend and found out. His friend is a merchant.. and has tons of money. I didn't think he would mind me taking some." She continued after taking a deep breath, "Anyway, I am growing up a bit.. in a way. So I am not really supposed to leave home with out... another.. family member." She tried to explain, but her family was a strange one. "Hebe must of told them." She then turned her hair gray and grew a small white beard. With a low mocking voice she said, "Hebe! Where is SHE?" She rolled her eyes and returned to a normal look. "She's such a little goody goody. Anyway, he'll want to check to see if I am ok.. I'll get to keep the money. I'll tell him I have wanderlust." She smiled reassuringly and decided to change the subject. "Ice cream would be nice." She then picked up her OWL results and opened them. "Toraks teeth! I got a 'P' in Astronomy." ::

Nadia stared at the envelop... and stared... and stared. The thing is, her curiosity was killing her, more than her nerves. So after seeing how Ganymede ripped her envope off, followed suit her example.

"You two would have done better than me," Jaren remarked lightly while scrutinizing his report card. "I barely passed Potions."

Not to mention nearly failed Herbology...he'd gotten the names of the plants messed up in the OWL, having absolutely overlooked the subject to bring his Potions mark up to standard as well as come up with a testimony in favour of the Professors, and other such junk.


ooc: Er...I think those orignal examiners would be very very old by now...

"Don't remind me of Herbology, please! And I sincerely doubt I did any better." Zekke groaned and with one swift motion, opened his letter.

He cringed as he scrutinized the letter's contents and ran a hand through his longish hair, freeing it from the hair thong that kept it tied at the nape of his neck.

"I passed Herbology by the very skin of my teeth and nearly failed Arithmancy, not to mention Divination. Peachy keen," he muttered and raised an eyebrow.

"But such was to be expected," he sighed and glanced over the other marks and was pleased to note that those three courses aside, he did rather well.

But Herbology... Herbology would really be the death of him one of these days... How was he supposed to pass his NEWTs if his Herbology marks were so Dreadful?

He glared at the letter some more.

"I swear I'll never take Arithmancy or Divination again, even if someone paid me to," he mumbled.

ooc: Yeah I know I'm thinking of the nephews kind of thing *snickers* Besides, I'm feeling lazy to come up with my own names.


Nadia sighed a sigh of relief, though in a way she felt almost offended by wome grades. She would have think her performance at Astronomy had been better, and Divination was not her strenght but she had done lost of reviewing with professor Riddle. That one was very subjective. Now, she didn't remember being so bad at Practical DADA, though it compensated with her Theory. And other such things.

Whoever was expecting her to receive all O's was very much mistaken. It was true she had messed up in a couple of those, was very nervous at some point. "My best grades are in Potions, Ancient Runes and History of Magic," she remarked quite proud of herself. "Oh and Charms! Good, I wouldn't forgive myself otherwise.

"I think I did enough and OK in the others." She turned to the others with a proud smile. A pained frown crossed Zekke's eyes as he talked about Herbology, then turned to Ganymede who would announce her 'P' without hesitation or shame, then peeked at Jaren's result because neither his expressions or him would say how he did.

Zekke thought about this for a moment before he spoke up. Since they each seemed to have varying strengths and weaknesses...

He cleared his throat. "Perhaps we can all help each other out? I'll be glad to help out in regards to Potions and in whatever other core classes and I myself can sure use some help in Herbology, that's for sure. Dunno if I need to take Arithmancy or Divination again, but if I do, I could use help in that, too."

He glanced at Nadia with a hopeful grin. "And I don't know what you need help in, Nadia, since you do rather well, but if you do need help and I can give it, do tell me. Then I won't feel so silly asking for your help in Herbology."

Glancing at Ganymede, his face brightened with a grin. "There's plenty of ice cream in the freezer and I'm sure we even have fresh cherries in the 'fridge. We also have almonds and peanuts and whipped cream and errrr... other berries... There's stuff for meals, too, not just snacks," he chuckled.

:: Ganymede smirked, "Yes, thank you Zekke. But where is the kitchen?" She looked about, it was still a bit dark except for the light from her wand. She touseled her hair and sighed, her stomach growled again. ::

"Over this way!" Zekke waved Ganymede and the rest of the gang over to the direction of the kitchen. As he walked over, he made vague hand gestures in the air and the lights brightened.

Once in the kitchen, he gestured for everyone to sit down at the breakfast bar as he rooted around in the freezer, fridge, and pantries for various foodstuffs.

His voice, slightly muffled, floated out, "What sort of ice cream did you want, Gany? And what would the rest of you like? Cold cuts? Lasagna? Sandwiches? Soup?"

Before his parents had left, they had enchanted the kitchen so that most everything was either always on hand or charmed to refill itself. The freezer and fridge itself was probably one of the most highly enchanted common items in the household. It was enchanted to hold all manners of foods and snacks that needed to be refrigerated, but the only bad thing was that since it could hold so much, there were occasionally items in there that were... errrrrr... old.

VERY old.

Ice cream, however, was not one of these items and neither were most of the normal food items.

Zekke chuckled quietly to himself and said to the freezer as he rested his hand on the door handle, "Frozen Treats," and opened it to reveal a freezer full of frozen delights. There were several small tubs of ice cream and he pulled out the chocolate ice cream for Ganymede and the mint chocolate chip one for himself.

He closed the freezer then addressed the fridge in the same manner with his hand on the fridge handle.

"Produce."

He opened the door to reveal produce - fresh vegetables and fruits more or less organized into shelves and bins and drawers. After some digging around, he procured a container of ready-washed cherries and slid it across the countertop to Ganymede as well.

Leaning against the refrigerator, he grinned at his other two comrades. "What can I get for you guys? No need to be shy, you know. The food's here to be eaten and I sure as heck couldn't eat it all even if I tried."

With a somewhat mischievious grin, he made a gesture in the air and commanded, "Omnis Aperio!"

A myriad of quiet clunks and thunks sounded as all the pantry cabinets opened to reveal their contents inside.

As Zekke brought up the subject of tutoring, Nadia listened on.

"Sure thing," Nadia said looking somewhat amused, "though I didn't expect of you to have problems with Herbology and plants when you get along so well with --" she stopped herself as her eyes were falling on Jaren, noticing what she was saying and looking away, "um, nevermind."

She let herself be guided to the kitchen with Ganymede, and Jaren of course left behind. Actually, that plan about cooking their own dinner? Well, Nadia was expecting some tips herself. Mother didn't usually didn't cook dinner and if Nadia would try do that one thing...

They approached a massive kitchen, as it could have been expected. She oggled the magical-working fridge and wondered how Zekke's parents had got away with that one with the French Ministry of Magic. As Ganymede did her own parody of the wild west, Nadia followed climbing the chair by its side, thought more than a cowboy(girl?) she looked like an angry pirate. "Something warm for me, for the lonely nights."

As Ganymede helped herself, though, she realized she didn't really want to eat anything up to now. Her stomach was still acting up on her. "Didn't we already have an icecream at Petit Paris?" she said evasively. She finally shhook her head and waved her hands in front of her to hint a negative, "Nothing for me so far, I'm not really that hungry."

Indeed, her stomach kept going 'eat that, c'mon eat that, I dare you.'

"Hot chocolate maybe if you're not hungry? Or hot tea?" Zekke inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"How's your stomach?" He asked, recalling what had happened earlier that day.

:: Ganymede took a few bites of her chocolate ice cream. She looked down at her dark brown chocolate ice cream and sighed, "I don't want to be this tired. I want to stay up and party." She was nearly pouting when she said this. She decided to keep up the talk to help her stay awake.
"Tea would be nice." She nodded, and got up. "Let me get it, your working too hard Zekke." She plopped herself off her chair and started nosing around in the cupboards.
"Do you have any cups around here? I can't exactly do any magic for a little bit. It'll make too much noise if I conjure something out of the air. It's rather hard to explain." She rambled on as she waited for some cups. "And for the tea, do you have any peach tea?" She didn't mean to be so nebby, but the kitchen was a very wonderful one. She did spot some more older looking things that made her nose crinkle, but other than that, everything looked splendid. ::

"Cups and mugs are in that cupboard," Zekke gestured. "And tea and coffee are in that cabinet."

After a moment of silence, he took a last bite of ice cream, put the carton back into the freezer, and regarded everyone with a thoughtful expression.

"I think we've all had quite a long day, so I wouldn't be surprised if you're tired. Sleep might be more beneficial than trying to stay awake in a zombie like fashion," he chuckled.

Mentally, he added that he himself would again be keeping late hours tonight like he usually did on most nights during the summer and winter holidays.

"Oh, tea would be lovely!" Nadia said, and soon waved her hand, "Marvellous, I couldn't be better." Which wasn't a complete lie...

By then it became clear Ganymede what Ganymede meant by 'noise'. "I will take a normal tea. Or, um, maybe apple tea could do. Whatever you have at hand the faster." She remained sit over the table, now in a normal position oppossed as the way she sat with her little parody.

Now at Zekke's offer, her face fell a little. But, she thought, I only have two days! If only she could weasel out from the plane back home for a bit longer... "Oh. OK, no problem," she said. "Though, I wouldn't mind staying awake longer and, um. No, nevermind -"

Suddenly she came to notice the actual mental image of what she had in mind might not have looked too... normal with the two boys there. For some reason, she was convinced it was plausible to get Zekke into an appron, but Jaren was another subject and the prospect of a pijama party might possibly look all wrong when it wasn't an all-girls party, and with Zekke's parent waking in... Point is, no.

"I still want to have that chess game I was promised," she said.

Jaren said nothing as Zekke almost literally laid down a buffet table, having managed to turn down most of the boy's sudden impulses to invite people to dine at almost any hour (though it was noted that they'd consumed more than their share of coffee while staying up nearly all night to play Risk or chess.)

"We aren't allowed to conjure anything," he reminded Ganymede. "We're underage."

As it was he sat down and watched as Nadia expressed wanting to play chess with Zekke, taking up the time by reviewing what Zekke had told him the day earlier on theoretical potion ingredient properties.

Actually, a study group wouldn't be too bad...

...Okay. Why did he just think that?

:: Ganymede puttered around and made the tea. She felt very relaxed at Zekke's house. She then tilted her head at Jaren.

"Correction Jaren. I turned 17 this June. Does that make me the oldest?" She looked about at each of them a bit confused. "Am I?" She stirred her tea and then took two cups and sat down next to Nadia. She handed Nadia the apple tea and started to sip her own peach tea. "Doesn't matter anyway." She mumbled as she set her cup on her saucer. ::

"Good point," Zekke chuckled and shrugged. "Well, I turned 16 this last January, so I'm certainly not the oldest. But I don't suppose those things matter? OH! Have you acquired your Apparition license yet?" His green eyes were curious as he pondered on this and... something... else.

The corner of his lips upturned ever so slightly in silent amusement over... something.

"Actually, Nadia... my suggestion was only that - a suggestion." His voice was warm as he spoke as he made a cup of coffee for himself. "I know you don't have too much time to spend here and all. Please, feel free to do what you'd like to do. I, myself, am ready for a chess match at any time."

He stirred his coffee and grinned and offered the coffee pot to Jaren with a raised eyebrow.
