Chris projected a somewhat evil look, "He will...Oh yes he will be brought down to his place someday..."

"Well, we'll see won't we?" Chris gave a small smirk.

"You know...you're too smart for your own good." Chris turned away, having no idea what he was talking about.

"No Way! That dance was aweful...and No, it has nothing to do with me being rejected by Akari," Chris shot, knowing Mahari would see straight through his last statement.

Severus ran out of the ahll and took after Astoria. He found her outside with Ozraya and Julienne. He eyed them oddly as he approached.

"Astoria, are you alright?" He asked, voice full of concern.

ooc:they'll go mad... just wait a bit longer, K? Romana is Mad-Eye's sis isn't she?


Teresa followed Remus. She didn't say a word. She didn't know what to do. Just the thought of Romana with Snivellus made her want to vomit or something.
'I'll be here for you, no matter what' was all she got managed to say.

Romana watched Ozraya and Julliene coming and speaking to Romana. She didn't say a thing.
She's not alone anymore... it's better for me to go and see how's Siri... She got up, said goodbye to the girls and walked to the Common Room alone.
There weren't many people in the hall as she thought there would. Just a few mad Slytherins and Gryffindors. They were all not believing in what happened. Romana could not blame them for being like that. She was also a bit confused. Afterall she had always been Romana's friend, and she could understand that she had fell in love with Snape but still... She just didn't know what to do nor what to think.

"Astoria is fine," Julienne said, "We were just explaining our . . . act in the Hall. I hope you saw through it Severus, after all you are a Slytherin."

Ozraya grinned evily. "I was also saying how you still have us to back you up, Snape. I'll hook you up with anything from Potion's supplies to -- "

"Merlow!" Julienne growled, "Desist with the idea of trying to sell your illegal magical products!"

"What she is trying to say is that, even though most of . . okay, maybe all of the Slytherin house has abandoned you, you will still have us to back you up. As you probably know already I had to stage an act so that my family will not dicapitate me. We will be backing you up every step of the way, like I said."

Severus nodded to Julienne and Ozyraya. "I do not need anything illegal. Now, I'm going to talk to Astoria in private. I'll see you two back in the commons when I see her to her own." He said and gently took Astoria's arm.

"Astoria, My love. Are you upset?"

Sorry guys. Was at my Grannie's for the whole weekend (borin!)

Astoria looked up at the three girls. "Thank you for caring." She said, her voice free of emotion. "Romana, go and see to Sirius. Make sure my brother is ok please. Juliene, Merlow. Go inside before you are missed and they figure things out, Severus needs your support in the house of the snake."

She turned to face the front, but felt Severus' hand guiding her to him. When she was sure the other's had gone she took down her shield and colapsed in his arms. "How can they not see how much we love each other?"

"I do not know, but I should like to give you this." He said pulling a box from his pocket.

Inside the box was a necklace of his mother's. It was an onyx heart with an emerald set in the middle.

James felt like a bludger to his head. Like someone had knocked it really hard.

But then, his ears ringing, the knock seem to let everything fall into place. Astoria's nightly dissapearances, so called 'detention', not being able to locate her on the map sometimes, her behaviour...

Her behaviour.

James had now stopped stock still. "Did you just say... Snape?"

That name always left a sour taste in his mouth. "Astoria Lupin, our little sister Astoria, has been going out with Severus Snape, slimeball and git of the highest.. lowest, order?"

James didn't need an answer. His bestfriend's look gave it all away.

He let out a low moan of agony, running his fingers through his hair. It had now become an unconscious habit, when the only Potter boy was nervous, agitated, or distraught. Long had he stopped showing off just to impress, because as Remus had later told him, it didn't impress at all.

Still, Astoria had been a lot happier lately, and if this was the reason... But it was Snape!

"I bet you Padfoot, he is only doing it to get at us... If he hurts one hair-- if he lays a finger.."

Evidently, James wasn't taking the news too well. "Is Remus talking some sense into her?"

They had continued walking.

A few minutes later, Romana reached the Common Room. She felt cold so she sat on an armchair by the fire.
Her mind was so confused. She almost had Sirius dancing with her. Almost. On the other hand, she saw Astoria with Snape. She didn't know what to think. If he made her happy than it was OK. But Gryffindor and Slytherin? That didn't make any sense!
Everyday that passes by my life gets more confusing she thought.

ooc: are Prongs and Padfoot at the Common Room too?

Severus shook his head. "No, she gave it to me to give to someone I cherish. That would be you, my darling Astoria."

Give this to the one you love enough to die for. If she accepts it, she truly loves you.

Severus undid her mopthers necklace to put the new one one. Taking his time, he ran his fingers over her delicate shoulder blades. Once he was done, he turned her to face him.

THe moonlight sparkled and reflected off of the emerald, and he smiled. It looked absolutely lovely on her.
