Apollo beamed as Nyx accepted his offer. He took her hand and the two made their way through the crowd and to the dance floor. The next song had just begun, so Apollo gladly went about dancing with her.

Dite sat next to Posiedon.
"Hey," she said smiling.

Artemis turned around spotting Ares and Hepheastus wondering why on earth she hadn't seen them before. She didn't go over right away. She was still quite sure Ares wouldn't talk to her. Hepheastus seemed a little more amaible though. She gave them both a wide smile and turned back to Ron and Poseidon and saw Dite come over. "Hey Dite back from your time outside?" She asked her smiling. Her eyes were scanning the floor for Harry and Athena but they fell on Apollo and Nyx. She'd had a weird feeling that they would sort of like each other. She hadn't been sure if it was true though after all Apollo was day Nyx was night. They were like oil and water. Though Artemis being a goddess could mix those. She felt a small smile come onto her face as she saw her brother being happy...even happier than he was with that stupid nymph Daphne. She felt even happier for Nyx who was usually an inside introvert. She'd been delighted in a sick way when she'd taken away her powers the first night but now she felt bad that she had. She hugged herself wrapping her arms around herself in a very sweet way as Artemis often did. Her curls dampened slightly. She knew she'd never actually remember why she hated Nyx after this. Still tearing her eyes away from the couple she spotted Harry and Athena and Hermes and Hermione not far off from each other but far enough not to spot each other. She gave a wave to technically Hermes and Hermione and would wave to Harry and Athena if she wasn't sure she was interrupting something. She wouldn't really care if Harry and Athena got together. Athena needed someone Artemis really didn't...after all being the goddess of virginity often did that.

Dite smiled.
"Oh, just had to get my purse. I forgot it." she said brightly.

Poseidon said okay to Hermionn. He didn't mind if she went off with Hermes. He had Dite. "Hey," he said as she sat down by him.

She smiled.

"What are ya doing?"

Hermione smiled and nodded. "Good night then. Good night to you too, Aphrodite." she turned back to Hermes raising an eyebrow. "Who's next?"

"Just sitting around watching the ball go by," Poseidon said.

"Well, I know something that will make it go by even faster." she said smiling. "Wanna dance?"

"Sure!" Poseidon replied. He stood up and started towards the dance floor.

Dite started to dance with Posiedon.

Hermes bade farewell and good night to everyone they knew and walked Hermione back to her...no, their...common room. The fire was crackling merrily as he stepped through the portrait hole.

"Do you think Hermes and hermione shoould be together?" Poseidon asked.

"I don't know, you?" she said.

"Possibly," Poseidon replied. "I'm not so sure. But do you think Artemis and Harry like each other? After you suggested it, Harry asked Artemis, and they seem pretty comfortable with each other."

Nyx smiled while her and Apollo danced. She had never felt this happy before it was a totally new emotion. She had come from Chaos so there was little room from anything but dark emotions. She had learned to hate Zeus and naturally hated his children. Getting close to Apollo she felt bad that she ever thought that she hated him or the others. Dancing with him felt right, she couldn't quite explain it. She could feel someone watching them and instantly knew it was Artemis then that feeling went away as if to tell her that Artemis was watching someone else.

Never before had she ever dreamed that she would be dancing with the sun god.

Apollo couldn't stop himself from smiling. The moonlight in Nyx's hair just made her even more beautiful, not to mention that her personality was more than agreeable. In his mind, he thanked his sister for the night's bright moon. "So.. how are you liking Hogwarts so far?" Apollo asked her, as they danced.


When Harry's dance with Athena ended, he smiled and thanked her for the dance. "Well, I think I'm going to take a break from dancing for a bit. See you around." He said, before making his way over towards the punch table.

Hermione stopped through the portrait hole with Hermes, glad to be back in the common room. The ball was fun, but she was quite tired. She walked toward one of the couches by the fire and sat, staring into the flames.

"Yes, it was." Hermione agreed leaning into the couch. "Hopefully everyone else had a good time too." she said. She didn't know why, but her nerves were buzzing and she felt so alert and awake.

Hermione hesitated. "Well...yes, I did notice that they were hitting it off, but it makes me happy that Poseidon has found someone he cares about...and they do make a good couple." she nodded. "Oh, did you notice that Artemis and Harry seemed to have something going?" she smiled.
