Artemis looked at her slackjawed and shook her head. What the heck was wrong with Dite? First she looked as if she'd done something wrong or as if she was nervous about something? Artemis shook her head once more clearing up her confusion hopefully as she spoke in Aphrodites mind. Dite! What is up with you? she thought worriedly.

Ginny skipped out of the Gryffindor Common Room heading towards the Great Hall. She tucked her wand into her garter which was under her robes and touched her necklace lightly for confidence. She then almost ran into Hermione. "Hey Hermione." She said and regarded the boy beside her with an eyebrow raised but introduced herself. "Hi I'm Ginny."

Dite giggled.
"Nothing Artie, Just in love, that's all." she thought back

Hermione walked back into the hall just to be almost hit by Ginny. "Hey, Ginny." she said after laughing. "Oh, Ginny, this is Hermes. Didn't you meet him earlier?" she asked. "Oh, well, whatever, you're here now. Wow, I love your robes!"

Artie..I mean Artemis wiped her head in she had been getting worried about her. Thank the lord you got me worried for a second..haven't seen you in love for a long time. Don't mind my rustiness She felt stupid for overreacting now. Even if it was something else Dite could take care of herself! She was a grown up goddess

Ginny smiled brightly and shook her head. "No I didn't meet him before...would have remembered someone who made you look so happy?" She asked pointedly hoping Hermione knew what she was indirectly trying to ask. Ginny didn't mind really. She would just help keep Ron in check if he blew his top. She grinned and nodded. "Can you believe that Fred and George picked them out? Out of all the people to have taste I would never have guessed those two.."

Dite giggled.
"Don't go crazy, just because I'm acting weird!" she thought.

Hermione laughed. "Really? Well, that is a surprise. Who knew they had such good taste." she commented, continuing to admire Ginny's robes. "Where have you been? I haven't seen you around." Of course, I was probably too busy with Hermes to notice anything

Nyx watched the as couples danced around the room. She envied them. She was pretty sure she was one of the few people in the room that didn't come with a date or with a friend. Nyx never let herself get close to anyone not even the other gods and goddesses. She was willing to talk to some of them now but not to hang out to much. She still couldn't find them. Not that she cared if she found them or not. It wasn't her problem.

Athena blushed and went along with her "really liking dancing." She smiled. "Ya, I do," she said as they danced.

Apollo finished his dance with Nike with a small bow. "Well, thank you for the dance and I hope you figure everything out.." He said, refering to her, Hermes, and Hermione. While walking over towards his sister he spotted Nyx, looking elegant and quite ravishing. He smiled widely and walked over towards her. "I was beginning to think you weren't coming."

"That's good.. I'm not much of a dancer, as you can probably tell." Harry said, grinning a bit.

Nyx saw him comming and a smile appeared on her face. In trueth she was glad to see him. "Hey, Pollo, I was sitting in the girls dorm room bouncing wheither or not I should come. I bought the dress already so I decided to come."

"Excellent. I'm glad you bought the dress in advance, then." Apollo said, unable to remove his eyes from her. At that point, he realized something quite strange: his feelings for Nyx were incredibly strong. Yet they came on so gradually, he knew not when he began fancying her. The realization alarmed him, and he quickly shook his head and put the thoughts at the back of his mind. After all, they were such opposites. Night and day. Light and dark. "Well, now that you're here, you must do me the honor of having a dance with you." He said, smiling yet again.

Ooc: Yikes! I'm really sorry! School has been insane...

Ceres walked into the room, trying to be as unnoticed as possible. She was really late, and she knew it. She smiled, seeing so many of her friends on the dancefloor. She glanced around and took a seat, sighing as she admired the decorations that had been put up.

Athena bit her lip, grinning. "I'm probably worse than you. I said I liked dancing, not that I was good at it," she said.

Dite started to giggle. She was sooo happy.

Ginny smiled brightly to Hermes. "Well I've just arrived really...I wasn't planning on coming with all the guys drooling after god knows who. Besides Dean's out of town visiting his Grandma and I couldn't very well come alone. Got a Rep..but then I decided the rep could go away and go shoot it self. I wanted to have fun. So I got ready and...now I've begun to bore you. I'll step away." She said knowingly and gave Hermione a slight thumbs up showing her Ginny's approval. Ginny would have started moving away so they could have alone time, Ginny hadn't know they had just come from alone time, when a very nice looking polite girl introduced herself to Ginny. "Hi Nike, I'm Ginny Weasley...so Goddess of Victory how's that working out for you?" She asked technically asking how life down at the wizarding world was. She was pretty sure it was nothing compared to whatever was up there. She spotted Harry unconciously and turned away quickly. She saw Apollo the boy she'd met earlier and smiled at him. Soon though she turned back to Hermes, who looked slightly uncomfortable, Hermione, who looked as if she was stuck between ecstatic and extreme depression leaning towards ecstatic, and Nike who just looked annoyed. With each turn she took her robes swayed slightly. She was just surprised Fred and George hadn't bought her a sack as dress robes so they would make sure she wore nothing which had anything which would appeal to the male.

Artemis shooed her brother away he should have fun and she could just see how many girls were dying to dance with him. She smiled brightly at Nyx who was dancing with Apollo now. A couple of boys had already asked her and she politely decling. Eventually boredom hit her and she walked over to Ron Weasley who was beside Poseidon. "Hey Poseidon, Ron whats up with you two I'm incredibly bored." She said brightly to the two. She would ask Poseidon later about Dite. She wanted to make sure he wouldn't hurt her. Artemis was very protective of her friends. Basically angry Artemis equaled Angry Animals hounding after you and the moon glaring at you. She loved doing that most of the time. Sometimes she made the moon cry. That was one thing she loved doing. Making the moon mimic her emotions. She shook herself out of her trance and looked back at them both awaiting an answer.

Hermione nodded. "Yes, she is." she smiled and then bit her lip as she heard his next statement. "Yes, I suppose we could go back to the common room. I don't see Poseidon either." she scanned the crowd. "Do you want to tell everyone good night before we go?" she inquired.

"Hmm, well I really don't know. How about Poseidon or Nyx?" she asked, as she picked them out from the crowd.

Hermione moved through the crowd toward Poseidon. "Poseidon" she said softly. "Hey, I just wanted to come by and say good night. I'm going to go back to the common room." she smiled, but she felt it was a bit forced. She felt uncomfortable around Poseidon and she hated the feeling.

Sitting with his friends, he looked up and saw Apollo talking to Nyx, then taking her for a dance. He sipped on his butterbeer, thinking, Interesting. He wasn't embarassed that he doesn't have a date for the ball, as if he was the only person in the ball that doesn't have one. He looked beside him, looking for other examples than him. As he looked for "dateless" people, he found a familiar face on the big doorway of the Great Hall. It was...

Ares was sighing when he approached the entranceway. He couldn't believe that he actually went to the ball. Earlier after his brother left, he argued with himself if he should go or not. After his brief argument with himself, he decided to go, just because this year would be his last year in Hogwarts. Holding to that reason, he went up to the Boys' Dormitory and dressed up in his brown dress robe, covered by a black frock coat. He fixed his messy hair with a spell, so it would look nice... and presentable.

Going back to the present... he went through the crowd inside the Great Hall, bumping to some of the dancers. As he reached the table filled with food, he got himself a glass of pumpkin juice and watched the crowd dancing while the Weird Sisters played songs for them.
