You open your eyes slowly, your vision blurry and head pulse pounding painfully in your temples. Your mouth tastes like cotton dipped in cough syrup and your tongue seems to have swollen to fill your entire mouth. Your arms feel heavy and you’re almost unable to move them, but with some concentration, you eventually lift your hand to your face. The light overhead is almost unbearable and you use her hand to shield your eyes from it, groaning heavily as your roll slowly to one side. With a monumental effort, you manage to get yourself onto all fours, and then push yourself back into a sitting position. You try opening your eyes again and the light blares at you, but isn’t as unbearable as before. You attempt to regulate your breathing as your eyes adjust to the light in the room around you.

After some painful blinking, the ringing in your ears begins to subside and, while it feels like you have had anything to drink in weeks, you manage to unstuck your tongue from the roof of your mouth which makes breathing much easier. The room, you see, is very basic—there isn’t any furniture or windows and the wallpaper is peeling a little, revealing plaster and drywall behind it. On one wall, you see a door which is closed and a small hallway off to one side appears to lead to a bathroom.

In all, it just seems like a very bare, empty apartment. There’s even a small kitchenette and a little hallway. But… where are you? Actually, that’s really even less important than… who are you? And… who are these other people who are lying on the floor, blinking blearily around. What’s going on here?

So, here’s the deal. I’m still experimenting with new ways of RPing that will prevent RPs from dying out before they’re finished. This is how this is going to work. I will NOT be playing any character. I will be playing the plot. You should all interact with each other and I, as the plot, will tell you what happens as a consequence of your actions (if any).

I’m also adding a new element to this RP: You don’t build your own character sheets. Because you don’t know who you are. Get it? I will, of course, take suggestions about what type of character you would like to play, but in general, you have no idea who you’re playing. How will this work, you ask? Well, allow me to tell you.

I have a few thumbnails of faces below. You will choose what your character looks like. And, over the course of the game, I will give little bits of your memory back. Quite possibly including your name. And you get to try to piece together what has happened to you and decide what to do about it.

My rules are super easy but very important

1. Have fun. That’s always number one.
2. There is NO minimum amount line for your posts. Sometimes, you can’t do more than one sentence.
3. When you DO post, however, please check your spelling and grammar.
4. Be kind to your fine posting friends.

He stood up, his hand went up to his head, he took a giant intake of breath and looked around as he leaned up against a wall, his head was pounding. He saw a bunch of people laying on the floor, just there some of them waking up. He looked down at his hands.....thought ran through his head Where am I?, When am I? and more importantly Who am I? This last thought spun round and round in his head, Who am I, Who am I.....WHO AM I?

She had been knocked out or something, she didn't really know. All she knew was that something tasted like medicine and her arms felt like they had been loaded with gym weights or something. She tried to make sure they were there though and attempted to lift one up. 'They must be asleep' she thought as she waited and after much effort, she managed to lift it up. She then decided to open her eyes, but the second she did, she felt blinded. It was like looking at the sun and her arm immediately flew up to shield her eyes from this harsh lighting.

After blinking a bit and her vision settling, she pulled herself up from the ground. She sat down though, her legs feeling a bit weak and she looked around. There was a ringing sound in her mind, but it slowly faded. She took a deep breath, then instantly coughed. The feeling was not pleasant. She continued to take slow breaths and finally she maintained a normal breathing rate. She looked around, where was she? She shook her head, her hair flying in her face.

Where am I? she thought, seemingly incapable of saying anything at the moment, wait... who am I...? she thought again. And another question, who were these people?

Ugh. What was this disgusting taste in his mouth? It was gross, like cough medicine, and he wanted nothing more than to wash it off at that moment. That is, until he opened his eyes. Now his biggest concern was shielding them from the bright lights of the room, his right arm instinctually coming to cover half of his face, resting over his eyes. Ow… Why did that hurt? He'd just moved his arm, it's not like he did anything that required insane amounts of effort. Not usually, at least. But this time? This time his body felt like there were tons of rock just sitting on top of it, weighing him down, refusing to let him move. He'd never felt like this in his life, at least not any time in the past that he could remember.

Remember…
Huh?

He pulled his arm from his face and opened his eyes again, squinting his brown eyes at the blinding lights. Oh, that hurt… it hurt a lot more than it should. How had he ended up here?
He sat up then, very slowly, his body for some reason heavy, aching. There was something wrong. But… what? When did he get he-- whoa. People! Who are these people!?

Brown eyes wide, he sat up a little straighter, glancing around the room filled with unfamiliar faces, some already awake, some still apparently asleep. They all looked as lost as he did, but he couldn't seem to remember their faces or their names. Actually…
He couldn't seem to remember his name.

His brown eyes widened further now. Whoa, mate, how could you forget your name? he thought to himself, failing at humoring himself. This was not right… he tried, and he tried, but he simply couldn't remember. It was like someone had taken this piece of information and erased it completely from his mind. Maybe… perhaps one of these people knew? He glanced around at them all again. There was a guy and a girl who were awake already, but by the looks on their faces, they were probably as lost as he was. "What the bloody hell is this place?" he asked of the other two, a little wary of their presence, as he wasn't sure if they really were just as lost as he was or they had something to do with this sudden… blankness going on in his mind.

Her eyes blinked open before the light blinded her. She squeezed them together tightly again and pushed herself into a sitting position. Her head was pounding, but she managed to open her eyes slowly and keep them relatively open. Trying to piece together what had happened, she looked around.

Seeing a whole bunch of other people around her her thoughts became more panicky as she tried and failed to remember any of them. Besides that - she couldn't even remember who she was. She swallowed hard and whipped her head around again, trying to gain anything familiar, but that was just it; nothing was familiar. Not the place she was in, the people she was with, or even the odd freckle on her hand.

A boy's voice broke the silence and she looked over at him, startled, and quickly got to her feet, trying to get as far away from the still-knocked-out people as she could, but still not talking to anybody.
