Lily continued to stare at the floor as James spoke. A small smile appearing on her face when she heard him stutter. Hearing his movement stray farther away from her, caused her to let out a deep sigh. She had done it. Her pride and stubbornness had finally pushed him away. Well, its what you wanted isn't it? she thought to herself.

About to push away from the wall, she stopped herself when she heard what he said next. She could feel her cheeks flush with every word he spoke. A shiver went up her spine and it took everything she had to suppress the huge smile that was trying to appear on her face.

Taking a deep breath Lily continued to take in everything he was saying. His words seemed genuine and for the first time in her life, Lily realized that James wasn't the person she had imagined him to be. He wasn't like all those other guys out there. She was finally able to see him for who he really was, and not for the company he kept. Feeling foolish beyond words, Lily finally realized how much time she had wasted pushing him away. How would she ever make up for all the time they had lost being apart? The truth was she couldn't, and that killed her.

Hearing his voice come closer, Lily took a hard swallow and continued to look at the floor. She wanted so badly to look at him, but she was afraid of what would happen if she did. Feeling the edge of his hand touch her chin, made her heart flutter. She could feel the goose bumps on her arms, and as much as she wanted to brush his hand away, she couldn't.

Finally staring into his eyes, Lily tried to speak but couldn't. All she could do was look into his eyes, and shake her head no. After a few seconds of being mesmerized by his hazel eyes, Lily reached for his hand and held it in hers.

"No, James. That's not how I feel about you. I just..." pausing Lily looked down at their linked hands and bit her lip, "I just don't want to get hurt. But I know now that you would never do that to me. I'm sorry that I've always pushed you away, and I'm sorry I've been rude to you in the past. Its just that I was afraid of getting attached only to be let down in the end." Letting go of his hand she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear.

"And just as you said I was the girl of your dreams, believe it or not, you've always been my Prince Charming. Although I never would have imagined him to fool around with muggle skateboards." Lily let out a small laugh as she gently leaned into him.

Suppressing her laughter, Lily became serious once again and gazed into his eyes, "I am sorry though. And if your offer to take me to the ball still stands, I'd love to go with you." Giving him a sincere smile she waited for his reaction.

After running for what it seemed to be a whole year, Teresa started to slow her pace until she just laid against a wall and let herself fall slowly to the floor where she stayed quietly, her legs against her chest, her arms around her knees and her head burried on her legs while one or two tears fell down her rosy cheeks.

If a few moments before she had felt an urge in her veins to kill Sirius for being talking to a Slytherin girl the way he was, then now she wanted to slap herself even harder for having acted towards Sirius the way she had. Maybe he was only speaking to the girl and had no intentions of flirting with her and if that was the case then she had been unfair and had just ruined her chances (if she had any) of going with him to the Ball.

Suddenly, in the middle of all these thoughts, she heard the sound of steps getting closer and closer. At once, she raised her head a bit and wiped the crystaltears from her face for she didn't want anyone to see her that way, fragile as a mere flower that can be picked up even by the smallest child. She got up just in time to see Amy walking past her. Since it was Amy that was there and not anyone else, Tess returned to her past position not only because the girl standing before her was a friend but also thanks to the fact that she had pratically lost strenght on her legs.

Remus masked a worried look at Sirius’s frown; the girl went silent after that. He trusted James more than anyone and even if he knew he wouldn’t harm Lily, but the look on Sirius face was rather daunting. Maybe he didn’t understand it properly; he took a deep breath as he leaned on the wall then ruffled his hair slightly to get some air around his head. The entire situation was becoming more peculiar by the second.

“Fay is bizarre, but she likes you mate. She’s rather faithful too” he replied with a sly smile, “Did she ask you for the ball yet?” he added in a joking tone knowing Fay would never miss an event like that to jump down Sirius’s throat. “Say have you decided who will you take? I’m not sure if I should ask Amy since we are a couple already, does it seem like a straight forward thing or is it more appropriate to ask her?”


His attention was taken again by Peter that seemed to be mumbling about something, Remus arched sideways to get a better look at him still leaning by the wall. Although he seemed very happy for some peculiar reason, the words he was saying were rather impossible to decipher. He shot a glance to Sirius and said “Me want de fieldy – faisies?, You think he wants Fay? What do you know he has crushes too” he added with faint chuckle.

Amy strolled down the hallway, passing a few students on the way. Lost in her own thoughts about the incident that had just occured, she nearly tripped over something sitting against the wall. Uttering an apology, she looked down, recognizing Teresa. "Tess!" She said, bending down to sit next to her friend. Something was off. Something had happened. "Tess." She spoke quietly. "What's wrong?" Had something happened with the boys? Or was it something else entirely? If someone had done anything to Tess, they were going to have so many house points deducted so fast that it would make their head spin.

Teresa raised her head once more as she heard Amy's voice echoing on her ears. Though she wasn't crying any longer, for some odd reason the tears simply didn't seem to want to get out of her brown eyes, she still had a redish tone on her skin, specially around her eyes. If only people wouldn't notice so easily when she was disturbed...

As her eyes met her friend's, she bit her lower lip and looked down at her hands again. 'I did something wrong, Amy' She told her faintly. 'I-I... I shouldn't have done it, I shouldn't' She whispered to herself, unable to keep talking. She knew that after that day nothing would be the same as before, nothing at all. If she could only go back in time and change things. There were times she wished to be someone else, someone who wouldn't have the same personality as her, someone calmer than her who didn't jump at conclusions when her loved one was in the middle of whatever that was troubling her.

Snorting, Sirius looked into the distance. "What, did she pay you to say this?" he laughed as Remus discussed Fay's attributes. He shook his head amusedly, as his Marauder friend went on. "No, not yet. Wonder what's keeping her," he answered in the same joking fashion. In the blink of an eye, Sirius seemed to turn a little bit more 'serious' []. He looked at Moony a tad concernedly. "And dunno mate, dunno. No real candidates this year..." he shrugged, then blinked as his friend talked about Amy. "Moony, you're hopeless. You two are dating and you're still asking yourself these questions?" He smiled confidently, trusting he had made his position clear.

"You know... you have a point, my friend..." Sirius spoke smartly. "These two would make a wonderful couple," he grinned and watched Peter with a shifty expression. The phased out boy might not have known it, but he was centimetres from becoming Sirius' personal 'Fay' scapegoat.

A couple more minutes passed. Sirius started to fidget in his spot. He kept throwing glances in the bathroom door's direction, his face edging with curiosity. "What's taking him so long?!" he asked in exasperation, genuinely wondering why James hadn't exited successfully yet.

Erica sighed and picked at her dinner. Poking at the mash potatoes over and over again and caused loud clinking sounds as the fork went straight through the potatoes and hard onto the plate. Looking up, she realized a couple of people were looking at her and muttering under their breaths to their friends, about the annoying noise she was causing. Shrugging, she set her fork down, not in the mood to eat anymore.

Looking around the Great Hall, she noticed a large gap at the Gryffindor table. Where was the famous four? And their gorgeous perfect girlfriends? She wondered. Probably in trouble again. She said, hiding a small smile. Taking a quick glance at her watch, she got up and retrieved her bag. Saying her goodbyes to her Slytherin friends, she quietly exited the Great Hall, leaving the noise and chatter behind her.

Peter snored on, still grinning. however, his dream of fields and daisies was now gone, replaced by one of him dancing on a rainbow. he was mumbling now, single syllables, or half syllables, if that's even possible, and just noises, along with his snores.

Peter's eyes blinked open, making him look terrified. as soon as they were open, however, they were shut again, with a faint mumble from his mouth. something had just gone terribly wrong in his dream. there was now a loud, obnoxious, and large girl trying to dance with him. Fay. peter's happy sleeping expression turned to a disturbed state and his slight mumbles turned to moans, and he appeared to be twitching uncomfortably as if something sharp had been dropped in his pants.

Alanna exited the Gryffindor common room, a bit ticked at herself for having taken such a long nap. She came around the corner and saw Tess looking a bit upset, and Amy with her. she smiled at them and walked by, looking for a specific someone. someone she needed advice from. but where was this someone? she didn't know. Lily wasnt' anywhere to be found.

Ali turned a corner and gasped, blinking. Sirius was there, and she couldn't help but smile, so was Remus. and what were they doing? She walked up to them, trying to look amused when inside she was worried. she could tell that James liked Lily, but she'd never tell Lily that. Peter, she could see, was floating nearby, sleeping and looking... disgruntled? She shook her head and asked them, "have you seen Lily? i'm looking for her... and... what is up with Peter? have you gotten him to drink some of Snapes "healing" potion or something?" she asked with a laugh.

her heart fell. where was James? and Lily was missing as well? oh, she hoped James hadn't kidnapped her or something, brainwashed her into loving him with love potion or anything like that. as much as she liked the 4 boys and thought they were funny, and also had her hopes of getting to go with one to the ball, this was too far. messing with her friend was too far, and she was about to say this when she realized: they hadn't said anything yet. she hadn't given them a chance, she had just assumed so because of the circumstances.

Amy's brow creased in concern as Tess looked up at her. She had clearly been crying but what was the reason behind her look. When Tess spoke, Amy's eyes widened slightly as ideas ran through her mind. What could Tess have done that had her so upset? Amy certainly hoped that her friend wasn't going to end up in trouble and she certainly hoped that it wouldn't have to be Amy herself that would have to report her to a professor. Biting her lip, she spoke gently. "Alright then....what exactly did you do?" She asked, and then glanced up as someone passed by them. Offering Alanna a brief smile, Amy looked back to Tess, awaiting her answer.

Teresa bit her lip and looked up at Amy. She had to control herself since someone could pass by and see her like that and if that someone was a girl who also shared the same feelings as her for Sirius or a Slytherin then she was in deep trouble.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before starting to explain what happened, her voice trembling. 'I... After you went out of the classroom, I went outside as well and then I found-' She paused for a moment before proceding. She had never thought that speaking his name would hurt so. 'Sirius and Remus by the girls' bathroom and Sirius was... well, he was talking to a Slytherin girl and they seemed to be enjoying each other's company' She moved her eyes to her hands once more. 'You know what I'm like Amy... I-I just couldn't control myself. I mean, he was there speaking to this girl when McGonagal is hurt and... And I'm sick of seeing him with complete strangers who only want him for luxury!' She explained, her voice getting a bit louder at her last sentence before she burried her head on her hands and a few more lonely tears rolled down.

Lucius just dropped the subject. If she didn't want him to get revenge for what had happened that was fine with him. Of course, any pretext was good for some Slytherin revenge as far as he was concerned.

Entering the Great Hall, Lucius took a sit at his usual spot, seemingly forgetting about Kairi.

'What is wrong with Erica? I just saw her leaving?' he asked casually as he started puting some food on his plate. 'No one is left in the comon room at this hour...' he commented further.

Diabelle was just about to answer Regulus' proposal regarding the library when the arrival of her two Slytherin mates interrupted her.

'I don't know what was wrong with her. She has been awfully quiet.' she responded, then she turned to Regulus, regaining a polite smile. 'I can give you my pass for the restricted area if you want to find something interesting to read.' she answered simply. Regulus would subtly try to lead things into a flirt situation now and then, as he pleased, but she was not the kind to indulge in such games. That didn't mean she didn't care for him a great deal, however.

Then she followed, speaking for the ears of everyone. 'Are you planning on attending this ball? I'm quite afraid that with Sirius and James as dance teachers, it might turn into a big joke. No offence, Regulus.' she said, looking at him and picking somethink sweet from the table.

Lucius looked around, without saying anything, as if evaluating the possibility of taking someone to the ball. His impecable manners forgotten, he was now staring into the air, with the fork between his teeth. 'I wonder...' he thought.

ooc: It's okay! We have not gone far! *pokes myself and my schedule* But it should start going a little faster now!

As he watched her beautiful and vibrant green eyes fix themselves in his direction, his heart melted with each breath. No one had ever made his heart skip a beat as this beautiful young lady, standing before him, did. With a deep breath and a hard swallow, a gentle smile formed on his lips as he heard her speak.

"You are the last person I would ever try to hurt," he spoke softly as his hand fell to his side. His stare continued in her direction. "Prince Charming?" he questioned for a moment. Never before had he heard such words but hoped that the meaning behind it was a good one. His voice let out a chuckle towards the skateboard comment as his head dropped.

But nothing made his heart sing as the words that formed from her lips. She said that she would go to the ball with me, his heart sang as the smile grew larger on his face. "I would be honored," he commented towards attending the dance.

He turned his body to the side and held out his arm for her to take. "And now Ms. Evans," he began as he held his head high with pride, "I think it's about time for us to exit this bathroom so that I may attend the detention being held for my skateboard incident."

From the back pocket of his pants, he pulled out his wand and tapped it towards the entrance to the bathroom for it to open, knowing that his mates were on the other side guarding the doors.

When James spoke, Lily felt herself go weak in the knees. How was it that he had managed to change her mind? She began to wonder if perhaps he was casting some sort of spell on her. Realizing that her scenario was unlikely, she came to accept that her feelings for James had always been present. She was just too stubborn to admit it and act upon them. Now that it was out in the open, everything seemed much more clearer.

Taking his arm, Lily was glad that they would be out of the bathroom soon. She would have loved to have spend more time with him, but not in the bathroom. It was just so unsanitary.

"Ah, yes. Your detention. I'm sure you and your friends will find someway to enjoy yourselves." she said as she gave him a wink.

Watching as he took his wand out from his back pocket, Lily shook her head. "Now why didn't I think to look back there?" she rolled her eyes and looked towards the door.

Amy listened quietly as Tess began to explain. Ah, Sirius again. What was it about him that made all of the girls go crazy? Sure, he had the good looks and debonair personality, but still. Sighing, she nodded a few times and then stopped when Tess spoke of not being able to control herself. "What did you do?" She asked quietly and gently, not acting accusatory at all. It was hard that Sirius could not see how much Tess cared about him. Was he really that blind? And Remus! What were those two doing in front of the girl's bathroom anyway? Amy intended to find out, but first things first. Things had to be taken care of with Tess. Amy could worry about Remus later.
