As the bucket came her way, Ninde straightened up in her seat. The name she pulled out read "?????" She didn't even know who that was. Sighing, she looked around the Great Hall and noticed a Ravenclaw boy that she didn't know calling out her character's name. Ninde grudgingly got up and walked over to the guy. Holding out her slip of paper she said, "Hey, my name's Ninde. I believe we're partners."

ooc: Sorry, I have no idea who those people even are! I read all the posts and tried to figure out who which characters didn't have partners, and I was just responding to iluvhryptr's post.

Mark remained silent at this and stared at her for the longest time, before he actually opened his mouth to speak.

"It's...a bloody big school yeh know...not everyone gets noticed...I mean, I'm really sorry to hear all that, but we're here now, aren't we? And I'm just stating the truth, you're cute."

"Oh?"

Lina laughed, trying to repress the urge to blush once more.

"Well then, I don't think I can refuse that offer..."

Lily sat listening to Potter boast about being Romeo and was temporarily stunned. She couldn't understand her luck, good or bad, but in this case, it was horrible. "How, out of the whole school," she said, tearing her eyes away from James, and turning to Tena, "did I get Potter as a parter?"

ooc: sry if im being picky but Lily isn't supposed to know until the end of the masquerade cuz everyone will be wearing masks and James knows and uses a voice charm.

ooc: Lily and James both pick one half of Romeo and Juliet. When they arrive at the ball, James was ecstatic. Lily was happy, but she does not know that James is his partner and disguised himself by changing his voice. They had a great time. What does Lily say when James reveals himself?

To make everything less confusing, I'm going to be combing the thread to make a list of which characters are going with who, and what famous couple they are to be put on the first post on the front page. If anyone would like to make this easier on me by PMing your character, their date, and their famous couple, it would be appreciated. *shows you lot the pages of my English paper that must be written and typed*

Remus had been a bit lost in the confusion. After the announcement of the ball, there had been quite a loud uproar of excitement from the students, and one could scarcely hear anything, what with people yelling about their half of the famous couple and demanding to know who their date with, even though Remus knew that no one was supposed to know anyway. But then, everyone at Hogwarts had broken a rule at some point or another, even he... Remus had been so dazed by vaguely watching everyone's expressions that he hardly noticed it when a slip of paper came to his hands. Opening it, he read:

from 'Moulin Rouge'.

Well, that wasn't too bad. He'd read those books, they were actually very nice. And the costume wouldn't be too hard, either. He'd probably just have to wear a suit, unless of course, he had to wear something like he was in a show.. nah, he doubed it. And, Christian wasn't such a bad guy. Christian was kind and poetic, and yes, rather obsessed with love, but that wasn't so bad. He was really wondering who his Satine was... but he wasn't going to go demanding an answer. He would just wait and find out like everyone else... er... well, maybe not like everyone else, but in the case that he did go try and find out who his date was, he would not be as obvious.

"Hey... guys..." Remus muttered to James, Sirius, and Peter. "I've gotten Christian from that book 'Moulin Rouge'. Who'd you guys get?"

OoC: Victoria and I made up that Moulin Rouge is a book, lol, since the movie wouldn't have been out yet. Just go with it.

ooc: Okay, now I'm not, lol. But I could've sworn Peter had something to do with it...

Raine alos being over there, "Hey Remus" she said.

ooc: With the whole voice changing thing with James... okay, I'm getting confused again so I'll just stop now, lol.

OoC: Peter makes a love potion because he doesn't think his partner will want to go with him, lol. James figures out that he's going with Lily and disguises his voice when he gets there. Lily has no idea she is going with James.

If you find any mistakes in who's going with who, please let me or Lita know. If you do not see your character at all, please let me or Lita know so that we can find someone for your character to go with.

"Hey, Raine," said Remus, greeting her. "Should be pretty interesting, eh?" It was completely unnecessary to make a point of the pandemonium in the Great Hall, but Remus raised his eyebrows, looking around again, as if to motion to it. "Did you get any fun character?"

"Yeah, I got Cinderella, and I hear Sirius is Prince Charming" Raine answered smiling. "Who have you got?" she asked.

Jessyrah blanched slighly when she realized that she'd been acting like an overdramatic... well, teen-aged girl, and quick apologized. "I... really need to what I say to the few people who compliment me," she said with an ironic laugh as she fiddled with the buttons on her robes. "I'm...really sorry. I didn't meant to jump at you, honestly. Thank you..."

Jett cleared her throat and opened his eyes wider when Aura offered her entire name and teased, "Well, if we're using full names, then I am Jerretty S. Prince III." He said his name with a slight sneer but in a fake snobbish tone, indicating that even he thought his name was that of a prat.

"Don't worry about it love, and I was just stating the facts, no need to thank me for that."

Mark grinned, and stuck out his hand for her to shake.

"By the way, My name is Mark."
