A long, low whistle sounded behind Heathe.

"Very nice Heathe, you almost look as good as me there!"

Mark teased, grinning widely as he walked over to his friend´s side. He then brushed a hand through his hair and turned to face the veil that separated the girls.

"I am guessing the gurls are in the other side then...·"

He pointed at blankly.

Carolina made sure she had enough time to dress for the ball, after all, her partner is Heathe Malfoy. By then she had fixed her hair, which was in her usual curls, and had her dress on.

"10 mins left...."

Carolina mumbled to herself quietly as she slipped on her heels and grabbed her pink mask, which matched her dress. She then moved out the door, and quickly walked towards the Great Hall, to discover a veil that separated half of the room.

True, Remus had been nervous on his first day ever at Hogwarts, and throughout all his transformations at Hogwarts at well, but the feeling inside him right then was definitely battling for a top spot. He stood on the boy's side of the black velvet, holding on to his hat that went along with his costume. He, James, Sirius, and Peter had had a most interesting time looking for costumes, and in the end, Remus ended up wearing the outfit described in the scene where Christian and Satine first met in the elephant. Though they weren't with him right now, whether they'd have been there or not probably wouldn't have made a difference in the way he felt. He waited there, wondering where they were, but most importantly, just who exactly his Satine was.

Nicole ran her hand over her curly hair, admiring the way it twisted into such a nice shape. She'd never curled her hair before, and there was just some sort of wonder of having it done. Though she knew that continuing to feel her hair would mess it up, she touched it one last time as she entered the girl's side. It was amazing. So many girls in so many different dresses or sparkly ball gowns or different outfits of history. Looking around, it was hard to see who everyone was. However, she remembered that Kristena had told her she was dressing as Satine, and sure enough, after a minute's worth of walking around and looking, she spotted the girl. "Hey!" she said, tapping her on the shoulder. "You look terrific! I can't wait to see the look on your Christian's face!"

OoC: Don't mind Nicole, she's just a random female I'm playing right now until everyone's here, but I can keep her in if any of the guys need partners, since a lot of people have left...

Shelly took one last look at herself in the mirror. She looked just as she imagined Gwenevere had looked. After pushing a loose curl out of her eyes she walked down to the great hall, walking carefully as not to step on the gown. As she entered she noticed the line down the middle of the hall and walked over to the girls side, where she waited for the ball to start.

Carolina scanned the room, as she adjusted her dress nervousily. Everywhere she looked, girls in long, gorgeous dresses, and in glittering masks, that made her feel, well...rather low. She sighed to herself and inched away from the veil, trying to forgot about these things.


"Right...I mean, I am a Slytherin....Shouldn´t that...be enough?"


She whispered to herself.

[color=DarkOrchid]Raine rushed around her dorm, trying not to be late. She muttered a spell and her rair went into and updo and her hair was spiraled and had ringlets falling, framing her face perfectly. Her dress was elegent but simple. It was, strapless and a pale sky blue with a darker blue trim. it went to the floor and was like a corset back, very pretty. She put on a simple silver necklace with a saphire pendant and silver dangle earrings.

Raine made her was down to to commonroom and out to the Great Hall it was breathtaking. She spotted Sirius, Remus and James, and almost walked over. But remembered that she had to wait. So she walked over to the other girls. "Hey" she said to them. [COLOR]

"Oh, hey William," Remus said, turning to the boy after he slightly jumped after hearing a voice speak to him. "Well, you know, it's kind of hard not to be nervous at something like this." Laughing slightly, he added, "this is the strangest thing Dumbledore has ever come up with." He straightened his collar a little, and then put his hands back down. Not too long after, he heard a voice that he knew only too well was Sirius'. "You're not the only one wondering, Mr. Charming," he said, teasing his friend in a friendly manner. "I think the name of your part is only too fitting." Remus then smiled weakly and looked back at the curtain, starting to feel to anxious to have any proper conversations.

Nicole smiled with her. "Really? That's just so perfect for you! I only hope that whoever I'm with works as nicely as a pair as I'm sure you and Remus will. I really hope that I get to go with Tony, but I'll just have to wait and see." She really thought Tena would have such a great time, because she looked like such a knockout in that dress, and most everyone knew that Remus was one of the most polite boys who acted like a gentleman. "You know, I wonder what songs they'll be playing. It'd be really funny if they played something from Moulin Rouge, like Christian and Satine's love song."

Mark laughed as he shook his friend´s hand.

"Well...I suppose it depends how you look at some of them really..."

He had a thoughtful look on his face as he dropped his friends hand and turned to once again glance at the veil.

"Eh..no matter, we got the hott ones huh Mate?"

Once again he usual grin spread across his face.

"Oh Vanessa...I was-"

Carolina carefully turned around to face her friend, making sure she wouldn´t trip over her dress. But as she turned, she got a glimpse of her friend´s dress, completely forgotten that she was to play as Pocahontas.

"Vanessa! What a dress!"

She exclaimed. The dress looked slightly uncomfortable, but it fitted her friend just perfectly! She looked just gorgeous.

"You look amazing!"

Heathe laughed and shook his head. "As you say, some are close. No. I got the beautiful one. She doesn't need to be Hott, shejust needs to be her." That was the end of that conversation. Yes, it hadn't lasted long, but who needed it to? "Five minutes." With that he applied a quick alliance spell to the back of his mask and put it on, making sure it was striaght.

Kristena smiled. "I can't believe I got him. In something like this." She smiled, lost in her own thoughts. "Oh god. What is they play a song for each couple and they have to dance spotlight."Her face froze. "They won't do that will they? I mean sure I can dance, but dance with Remi and under the eyes of everybody else? I don't think I could do that...."She breathed in deeply to calm her nerves and smiled. "Five minutes til show time."

William shook his head. "Don't say ever. He's an old man and we don't know everything hes done before this." William mad a face to show that he was joking and welcomed Sirius. "Evening. I must admit, standing with Prince Charming, and Christian is making me feel like the odd one out. Hmm Probably because I am." He laughed and grined. "So does your Remus. Or at least the character does.

Vanessa smiled. "Thanks. I bought it a few years ago for a fancy dress party, so when it came up as Pocahontas, I already had something. Some might think it's a little short now though." Shesaid looking at the way the tassles moved over her thighs. "Oh well, what a shame. You look lovely to!" She smiled looking at her friend. "Are you Heathe's date? Girlfriend? Thats going round the common-room and I just wanted to see if it was chit-chat or rumors." She smiled.

Mark just laughed and continued to grin. After all, Heathe hasn´t seen his date yet...heh.

"5 mins left, hm? This is becoming a bit annoying just waiting here yeh know.."

Carolina blushed at the sound of his name and nodded at her friend.

"No, there are not rumors."

She replied as cooly as she could, though she couldn´t repress the blush on her face.

Heathe nodded. "I know." He was looking around now. waiting for some signal that the five minutes would be startng soon. Waiting all of this time to see his girlfriend was killing him, but from the outside, he looked as cool and collectedas normal. "Be patient Mark. You should not worry, nobody else will get your date."

Vanessa grinned. "Took you two long enough didn't it." She laughed. "Aw, look at you, blushing and everything. So sweet." She looked at the screen and sighed, "Why does the time go so slowly when you want it to speed on?"

OOC: Oh no, I am soo sorry. I was deleting subscriptions that were dead from my list and I must have accidentally deleted this one. What have I missed? I'm soo sorry!

Lmao, its alright! What is happening at the moment is that everyone´s character (s) is now at the ball with their costumes on. However, there is a veil that separates the females from the males until 5 mins is counted down. Okies?

Mark quickly made a face at this.

"You think so eh? Mr. -I am-so-bloody-Confident-Phantom? Well, just so you know, we have no idea what is going on on the other side of that bloody veil! Who knows! Maybe she is planning to dance with some other guy...or something!"

He then paused, a hand reached out to brush through his hair in thought. Wait a min....He is Mark, the Slytherin after all. What arrogant git would steal his date from him? That would not make any sense what so ever...hm.

"I am not blushing Vanessa!"

Carolina quickly protested as she placed her mask over her eyes, trying to cover the already darkened blush.

"I was just...flushed from the heat that´s all...yes...The school should fix this dreadful air-conditioning..."

She nodded to herself, and glanced over at the veil that her friend was eying at. She then realized who could be standing right behind it...

"I know exactly what you mean..."

She sighed, quietly cursing the clock to her right.

"I am perfectly calm, Vanessa."

Carolina muttered under her breath, obviousily a lie. She sighed to herself and began to play with a ring on her finger.

"Vanessa...? "

She paused, and turned to glance at her friend, giving her an odd look.

"...Tell me...If you knew that Malfoy liked me for quite some time...and you knew how I felt, why didn´t you tell me he felt the same way before...?"

"Gah....Black and Potter."

Mark made a huge face and almost twitched from the names.

"I get the point....but you didn´t have to use them as a bloody example.."

He grumbled.

OOC: I can't believe I forgot after I spent all that time fixing my costume together. I used a model and just dressed her up like a paper doll. Check it out!


Jessyrah came down from the Gryffindor common room and went straight to the Great Hall, her heart racing from the excitement of the evening. Perfectly happy with the dress that she had designed with the help of Madame Malkin's supplies, she situated herself on the correct side of the veil and waited for the ball to start.

Shelly found two familiar faces in the crowd and made her way over to them,"Hi Jess and Raine!"she said excitedly,"You two look great!"
