DV reached across the table and drew a hand across her jaw bone, smiling softly as he admitted, "Probably something about your fair beauty or the sun shining in your eyes. For where thou art, there is the world itself, and where though art not, desolation."

OOC: Sorry...I'm on a real Shakespeare kick today. We're reading Shakespeare in English and I'm totally in love with the guy who's reading the part of my 'husband' and he speaks Elizabethan so well.....*sigh*

Don't blame yah on that kick Jess.. though can't say the same. We're reading Of Mice and Men - -;; Though.. don't get me wrong! It's a good, weird-cussing book. We just started watching the movie today.

Sirius stood and followed James, shoving his hands in his pockets. Catching up, he stride along side his friend, silent with thought. He could only wonder what got James so down at the moment. It was no use bickering away over it, yet he still worried though his mouth stay shut. The silence would eventually get to him, but for then, he stay quiet, leaving James to his thoughts.

"Hmm, I guess so," Remus replied to Tena, watching the students retreat back to their common rooms for the night. "I... I really don't know what I'll wear. Probably just some sort of casual tux, I suppose, because that's all he wears. Although, there was that scene at the end of the book in which Christian took that one man's costume jacket... I'll figure it out." He started laughing at himself for telling Tena all this, realizing that he could have stopped before telling all his ideas, and surely, Tena had friends, so there was the possibility that if she knew whoever was playing Satine, she might tell her. "Well... now that I've told you all that, you'll probably be able to spot me if you want to... come visit, or something." As Remus looked at her and spoke, he really did wish that Tena would visit him. And, of course, that she and whoever her date was would have a great time. Strange how he suddenly started wishing that his date was Tena. But there were thousands of students, so what was the chance that he would actually go with her?

"Well... I suppose it is getting sort of late," he added after awhile, seeing more people starting to leave. "We should turn in."

Tena sighed contentedly. She knew it was mean keeping such a secret from her own date, after all, he had told her what his costume would be. She bit her lip so that she wouldn't tell him that she was his date. "I'm sure I will come and see you tomorrow night. You never know, I might even snatch you away from your date for a dance. That is of course, if we both hate our original dates." She smiled at him and felt a blush creeping onto her cheek so she looked away, looking at the student's that were leaving. "Yeah. I guess your right. Maybe we should head to bed now." She stood up, when she felt strong enough to, and smiled down at him. "Care to join me?"

Lily and Arwen passed yawning painting and snoring suits of armor then finally reached the staircase in which Lily needed to use, "Well," she said, turning in the direction of the case and holding the rail, "I guess I'll see you at breakfast." She made her way up the flight of stairs, taking care to hop over the fake steps and make to move quickly so it didn't have time to change on her. She walked to the top and wandered down the corridor towards the portrait. Lily muttered the password (butterbeer) and climbed through into the common room. She went upstairs to the girl’s dorm and changed into her pjs. Coming back down, she went over to a book case and pulled out a volume called "Moby.****" by Herman Melville (brilliant book) and sat down on a couch near the fire, throwing and light blanket over herself.

"I think we should write that letter right now, everyone seems to be leaving for their dorms."

Mark noted as he glanced around the Great Hall.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips and she quickly smiled weakly after his kiss.

"Late? Why, that never was a problem before..."

She replied with a glint in her eyes, though a blush was still on her cheeks from his kiss. Lina slowly pulled away from his arms and glanced around outside.

"...Let's stay out for another few mins...No one will notice..."

Jessyrah grinned and, grabbing Mark's hand, she pulled him out of the Great Hall and straight to the Owlery at the top of one of the towers of the school. Taking a quill and a piece of parchment from a desk in the Owlery, she quickly wrote a request to Madame Malkin and said, "Now we've just got to get the attention of one of the school owls..."

DV leaned across the table and pulled Shelly's hair away from his face and tucked it behind her ears gently, as he placed a finger under her chin and lifted her face back up to hers. "I didn't mean to embarrass you," he said.

Mark grinned, though he was actually lying... He turned around to stare up at a brown spotted owl, and pointed at it.

"Hey you!"

He cried out.

Jessyrah's hand immediately flew to her mouth as she turned away from Mark, doubling over with giggles. The owl that had had been talking to gave a hoot as if to say, "You've got to be kidding me," and flew away to a higher perch. Grinning, she said, "You can not talk to an animal like that and expect it to respond positively." Holding out the letter she'd written, she said, "Which of you wants a job? There's a mouse in it for any of you who thinks they're the fastest."

There was a great rustling of feathers before a medium-sized tawny owl flew from the very top and landed next to her, its leg already extended for her to tie the letter to him. She did so and said softly, "This goes to Madame Malkin in Diagon Alley and needs to be there as soon as possible. I'll have that mouse waiting on you when you return," she winked and sent the bird on its way.

"See?" she said.

DV's hand fell to cup Shelly's cheek as his tone switched abruptly from satirical to serious; "I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to quote Shakespeare for you. In fact, I could stand up on the table again and recite for you if you'd like," he said with a grin, one foot already on his seat to boost him up.

"You know, it would work out particularly nice- erm, I mean, interesting- if we both didn't like our original dates, so then our original dates just decided to dance with each other, leaving us two to be each other's dates." He stopped himself abruptly. "Of course, it'd be very silly, as we wouldn't match anyway..."

"You don't think I would like going with a Slytherin?" Tena looked upset but then continued to grin. "I don't think I would like going with Heathe Malfoy either." She knew lying was bad, but she didn't want him to find out she was his date, besides, when would Remus talk to Malfoy before tomorrow night? He wouldn't. "I would like to dance with you all night too. Tell you what, your the first person I'll dance with if I don't like my date." She smiled at him with a simple but deep smile. "We can always change into a different costume, we do know how to transfigure clothes."

He turned red slightly at Tena's last few words. That really was a nice prospect to look forward to, considering that his date could be absolutely atrocious. On the other hand, he could have a very nice date, whom he just hoped would understand if he left her for a moment to go dance with Tena. Remus then realized that quite a few seconds had passed since Tena spoke, and he had not said anything yet. "Oh. Yes. That would be very nice. So you're... are you going with Heathe Malfoy, then?"

Lina couldn't help but smirk, and decided in a playful response.

"Well...But..."

Her hands folded behind her back as she turned around from Heathe. She pretended to be rather upset.

"..that means there's room in that memory of yours for another girl, besides me, hm?"

She gave him a look over her shoulder, wondering what his answer would be.

"...Yes well...alright."

Mark replied, rather defeated in his try to impress the girl. He sighed, and gave the owls a look, as if it was their fault. He then quickly turned to nod at Jessyrah.

"So I don't know much...about animals, but I tried."

Mark shrugged and reached over to take her hand as he added.

"Where's your common room at? I can walk you there if you want."
