"Will! B!" I waved a hand as I saw them come through.
"Stevie get here yet?" Will asked.
"Stephanie," I sighed, "Is in there with Ephram," I pointed towards a compartment inside the Hogwarts Express. We all got on and pushed our luggage above the compartments.
I slid open the compartment door where Stevie and Ephram sat... It was only going to get more uncomfortable once B and Will left for the Prefect duties.

We all sat in the compartment for a few moments, I looked to Luke who was staring at Stevie and Ephram like they where both slightly mad. I grinned and looked out the window.
"We have a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher" I said watching the hills go by "Who do you reckon it is Stevie?"
"Stephanie" She said bluntly.
"Excuse me?" I asked.
"My name is Stephanie, not Stevie" She replied in the same blunt tone. I eyed Kira, I thought she had just been joking.
"Since when?" I laughed, then noticed Ephram, "Oh, since then".
"What is that meant to mean?" Ephram asked quickly.
"If you don't know--" I started.
"--I'm not going to tell you" Kira laughed, then stopped when she relised no one else was.
"Come on B, we have prefect duties" I said, then stood up without looking at Stevie or Ephram and left.

I looked awkwardly at Ephram and Stevie, then out the window and yawned.
"What's with him?" I heard Ephram ask then watched as he took her hand.
"With him?" I was growing a bit angry, I hadn't done anything but be nice to him and Stevie ever since they came but they hadn't been treating me the same at all.
"What's that meant to mean?" Stevie looked at me.
"Nothing, I'm going to introduce Luke to some people," I stood up and looked to him.
"You are?" he asked.
"Yes, c'mon," I said and we left the compartment.

I stopped just before going into the prefects compartment, leaning my head against the glass door. A part of me wanted to smash it with my fist, and the other wanted me to curl up into a corner.
"Will," B said, rubbing my arm and hugging me, "Don't get yourself worked up about this..." I turned away from her and looked to the window, then turned my head to her.
"I don't like him, I don't like what he's doing to her. He's changing her into the girl that she isn't meant to grow up to be." B stared at me for a moment, "Just look at her, she isn't Stevie Potter anymore, she's Stephanie... and I don't like this new Stephanie. I loved the old Stevie, no matter how stubborn she could be. I want her back B and I'm scared that she's gone forever" I tensed my fist and went to punch the wall, but held back.

"Know any 5th years?" Luke asked, as we walked by some compartments.
"Not really," I slid open another compartment door angrilly which made Jason jump, who was inside with Sean Figg and some other boys.
"This is Luke," I said, and felt quite odd, normally I had never been the one to introduce my family members to anyone, but anything seemed better at the moment then sitting with Ephram and Stevie.
"I'm her brother..." he smiled and shook Jason's hand.
"You never told us you had a brother!" Sean stared, I just sighed.

I sat in silence with Ephram, "Is this right?" I asked. "What do you mean?" He asked. "I mean am I breaking up my friendships for something that..." I stopped. "That what?" He asked. "Nothing" I said. "Listen to me, if you want me to lay off Will then I will, I'll stay away, I wont speak with him and you and I will keep PDA to a minimum" He said, I smiled at his last comment. "Well I guess were alone, we can you know..." I stopped. He pulled my face in and we started to kiss, just then Will walked in.

I stepped back into the compartment to see Stevie and Ephram kissing, they both seemed to pull away as they spotted me.
"Just forgot my badge" I said in a low voice, leaning over to my bag and pulling it out of the front pocket. I stepped back out and up the hall where B was waiting at the door to the prefects compartment. "They where kissing"
"Will, are you jelous or something?" B asked, screwing up her nose.
"I don't think so" I said, sounding a little clueless. "I mean, she's one of my best friends and even though we weren't dating she still meant heaps to me and now... now it feels like I don't mean as much to her as she means to me". B watched me for a moment,
"Does she know this?" I stared for a second at her.
"You know something, last year when I was with Rachel she told me that she loved me and wanted to be with me. I said it wasn't the right time for her to say that and now it feels as if it isn't the right time for me to say it" I sighed "Come on, we better head on in" I pushed the prefect door open.

It was so bad for me to see Will in that situation. I wished there would have been something I could do. But what? I was so helpless when it came to helping people with their problems! And I hated that about myself. Maybe I could talk to Stevie, or Stephanie... But at the moment I couldn't do muck more but take Wills hand for a moment and squiiz it. I would have said that it will be ok, if I would have believed it. But I didn't know. I didn't know anything at the moment...
We stepped into the prefects compartment to find the other house prefects already there. Michael was there too, for Hufflepuff, and he came smiling to congradulate me for makeing prefect and Will to keep his title. I looked at Will and we sat down, waiting for instructions.
It took about 10-20 minutes and then we were strolling down theTrain aisles to see if everything was ok.

"The prefects bathroom?" B asked excitedly, looking at the new keys she had gotten "And the prefect meeting room, the prefect study" she went through the other keys as we strolled through the hall.
"Yeah," I smiled "I can't wait to see them, Kira fell asleep in the meeting last year so they never gave us keys or anything" We both laughed. "Hey, speaking of last year, it's been three months since you last saw Alex, hasn't it?" I grinned smuggly as I had spotted Alex at the other side of the hall.
B went up to meet him and I leaned against the window, staring out at the setting sun with my arms folded.

I walked out a compartment with some 5th year guys Luke seemed to like okay, to find Will standing down the hall.
"Meeting over? Who all made prefects?" I asked from the compartment door and he turned to me then back out the window.
"Harriet did again, Chelsey and Andrew from Ravenclaw, and Sarah and Michael made Hufflepuff," he answered, "Where's Luke?"
I dragged him out of the compartment slightly and grinned folding my arms.

"Nervous about the sorting, Luke?" I asked, grinning at him.
"Nah" He said shrugging "It can't be that hard, I mean Kira did it" I laughed with him as Kira rolled her eyes with great disgust. "I'm going to grab something to eat" He headed back up the hall. I stood with Kira for a few seconds,
"So, how's sisterhood?" I said finally.
"It isn't a crime for me to hex him, is it?" She laughed.
"Aww" I sighed "You love him don't you?"
"What--?" Kira chocked. I just smiled at her, I knew she wouldn't ever admit it, but I could tell she really like the responsibility and having someone look up to her. It was odd, just then I noticed that in the past six years, Kira had changed the least, even as the war started, she was still care-free and always smiling, no matter of the situation.
"Well, B's busy with Alex, should we go pop in on the lovebirds?" I asked.

"Sure," I smiled, and followed him down the hall to the compartment B and Alex were in.
"Hey guys," Will slid open the door, to find B and Alex sitting next to one another holding hands.
"Kira, you've got to see all these keys," B laughed, noticing I was looking down at what she was holding.
"Wicked! We didn't get keys last time, did we?" I turned to Will, who caught eyes with B and looked as though he may have been holding back a laugh.
I looked out the window as I took a seat across from B, it looked like we were getting close to Hogwarts.

Ephram took my hand and I smiled, "So where do you think Will is?" I asked. Ephram didnt say anything. "Oh Sorry, we're not mentioning him....right" I said a bit uncomfortably. He just smiled, "I have something for you" He said as he pulled out his bag. He smiled as he reached his hand in and pulled out a kitten. "For you" He said and handed me a little carmel and white coloured kitten. I smiled as i took it from his hand. "Thankyou!" I said and hugged him. "Yourwelcome" He said as he patted it's head. "Boy or girl?" I asked. "It's a boy" He said. "I'm going to call him Jacob" I said as i held him tight to me. "Hi Jacob" I said, he meowed. "I take it he likes that name" Ephram said running his fingers through my hair. "I think so too" I said and laughed.

I held back a laugh as Kira mentioned about the keys. "Hey, you wanna go see the rooms? We still have some time before we reach Hogwarts!" I suggested to Kira. I gave Alex a slight kiss on the lips and both me and Kira got up. "See you at the feast or earlier!" I said waveing to him. "Later Will!" I added and exited the cart.

"You have any keys that'd open doors on here?" I grinned to her as we left the compartment. I hadn't done anything with just B in a while, and I was the only one who hadn't really been sisters with her after she moved in with Will and her and Stevie lived seperately.
"Think so," she answered looking through them, "Here's one to the front of it, and hmm the sweets room for the trolley."
"That ones got my vote!" I laughed.

"When you think about it, I mean it'd be a bit strange if the bathroom was that big," I laughed trying to make B not so disappointed, as we headed back over to Alex and Will's compartment, but stopped as the train slowed down.
"Think we're here!" I smiled running to the closest window and looking out. Everyone was beginning to file out of the compartments and out the train and B and I walked out once the doors on the Hogwarts Express opened.

ooc: Merry Christmas for yesterday everyone, hope you had a good one!

"So, where's Stevie?" Alex asked as we walked out of the compartment with our trunks, and me with Kneazel under my arm. I looked at him for a second,
"Didn't B tell you?" I asked, "She's got a boyfriend now and apparently that means no one else cares for her anymore, nor are we any importance to her" He watched me, slightly confused, but tried to pretended we understood.
"Well, that's what growing up's all about, ruining your life and fighting with your friends" He grinned. I laughed, but stopped as soon as we stepped outside because I instantly felt different. The normal booming voice of Hagrid commanding 'All first years' to come to him was missing as he had died mid-last year. It was the first start of year without him.
"Look at him, talking to a mudblood" Harriet muttered walking past me and Alex.
"You know," Alex said to her, not worrying to lower his voice "He's a half-blood technically" I just laughed as Harriet hurried away from us. No one had ever called me a 'half-blood' before and I knew it shouldn't have made me feel better, but the truth was I did feel superior knowing I wasn't completly muggle-born.

"Alex!" B waved over to them as I saved a carraige. Alex waved back and him and Will made their way over with their trunks and I helped B set hers in.
"Should we wait for Stevie?" I asked watching as her and Ephram made their way out of the train, Stevie holding something in her hands, "Is that a cat?"
"Looks like it," Alex said and caught eyes with Will when Ephram walked out.

I sat back as Stevie and Ephram piled into the carriage, Stevie holding a cat closely to her chest as she did.
"What's that?" I asked staring at the cat as Kneazel glared at it too.
"A cat, it's a gift from Ephram" Stevie smiled, patting it's head. I looked to Ephram and smiled,
"I had a small pet once, it was a rat, turned out to be my father plotting to kill us" The entire carriage fell silent. Kira looked at me, then shook her head in embarrasment.
"I'm sorry to hear that" Ephram said uncomfortably. Stevie, however, rolled her eyes at me. I didn't see what the problem was, I hadn't been treating Ephram any worse then Stevie had treated Rachel.

I tugged at my hair and hit Will's foot slightly, as everyone silenced.
"Where'd Luke go off to?" I asked looking around noticing he wasn't in the carraige.
"Probably had to go in with the first years," Will answered and I sat back again and nodded as the carraige came to a stop at Hogwarts. I smiled looking out at it and hopping off.

We headed up the stairs and in through the doors of Hogwarts as a small group huddled together. I smiled to myself as we did, it felt like a long time since I had seen the place and I felt very much at home again.
"You know where to go, right?" I smiled to Kneazel as I put my trunk against the wall, I placed him on the ground and he leapt past the other students and headed up the stairs for the common room.
"See ya, Alex" I smiled to him as he headed over to the Slytherin table. I watched as Ephram walked over to his table (You said he was Ravenclaw right?) and sat down next to B.
"Good to be home" I announced looking opposite me at Kira and Stevie, as long as it had been since I had last seen Hogwarts, it seemed even longer then it was just the four of us together.

"Silence," McGonagle tapped a spoon to her drink and walked down from the Staff Table, "It is time for us to welcome our new First Years! And a new fifth year student joining us this year," she finished and waved a hand causing the Great Halls doors to open as everyone inside the Great Hall began to whisper.
I smiled as the first years all walked in all looking nervous but once Luke walked in I turned back around and held in a laugh as he was about a foot taller then the rest of them.
