"There is an easier way" I said noticing some dirt on Stevie's skirt "For example, skurge" Some bubbled shot out of my wand and popped as they landed on the dirt spot, destroying it.
"Yeah, that way" Stevie smiled.
"Come on, we have spells to practise" I insisted leaving the great hall.

"Sounds Supurb" I said following Will out of te GH and to whereever he was going.

"But we just came from practiseing them!" I said sounding desperate. "Well... I guess we can practise a little more! But ´just a little!" I said following them

We continued to practise for the rest of the day, finally at three o'clock we left the room of requirment and hurried to the Gryffindor common room. I went upstairs and changed into jeans, a green jumped and my new silk robes. I checked my hair, gave my wand a quick clean and hurried down to the common room.
"Luck Granger!" Sean said patting me on the back.
"Yeah, do Gryffindor good!" Alicia Figgian.
"Hi Will!" B said. I looked at her, her black hair as back in a slick bun, she was closely followed by Stevie, looking nervous, and Kira's who's wand was shooting out stars.
"Stop it!" She muttered and it did "Stupid cheap thing!"

"So," I went through the plan a bit confused, "Stevie does the leg-locker charm thing on me, and then I do expelliuramus on..?" I turned to Will.
He began to explain it to me again.

"Kira!" I snapped "I knew this would happened! I said that we should have gone through the plan again instead of playing exploding Snap! But no! and now you can't even remember the plan!" I glared at her.
"It's okay" Stevie said simply "We can talk on it on the way to the quidditch grounds!" We begun off, going through the potrait hole.
"okay," I said nervously "The first small troll comes out. Stevie you leg locker curse him to distract it and Kira you use expelliarmous to knock it near me and B, we will then use the stupefy charm to stun him. Right, we continue on and will be faced against the two medium trolls. Kira and Stevie, you work on one and me and B will tackle the other one.Rememeber to use a stunning spell at it's eye and don't get hit by the club!" I sighed.
"Well duh Will!" B laughed. We continued down the stairs faster,
"Then we come to the giant troll, hopefully there will still be the four of us, Kira and B, you work on distracting him while me and Stevie levitate some brooms I placed on the roof. We then fly them as close as possible to the eye, I will use a bait spell to distract him and you fire" I finished.
"Easy!" Kira smiled.
"Easy for you to say!" I snapped.

"We can do it, guys! Don't worry! We have practised enough! I hope the Slytherins fail!" I said as we entered the great hall where the teachers and the other teams where olready in. Sam pointed her finger at us and laughed saying something to the other Slytherins. "Look at Harriett! She does look like a clown!" We all laughed a bit at that and sat down to hear what the teachers have to say before we begin

Proffessor McGonagall stepped forward in golden, long, flowing robes and a tall witch hat, smiling kindly. She raised both hands in the air, with her fingers down to the ground.
"Let the games begin!" She called raising her fingers, shooting yellow, red, blue and green charms into the air. They hit the blank banners on the roof, creating each houses logo, then dropping the charm dust on us all.
"Wow!" A first year shouted.
"I would now like to ask each representing team members to please come forwards" She called. The others compeditors walked up in applause, me, Kira, B and Stevie did also. "The compeditors please exit through the grand hall and head to the quidditch stadium, I will have a few words before the school soon follows!" We exited.

"You nervous Granger?" Alicia asked me as I sat in a tent that opened to the stadium.
"A little" I said. She smiled as I stood up and walked over to the exit, opening it and peaking through. I could see students, media, famalies, teachers and patrons filling the stands.
"Will!" B called, I turned and walked over to Kira, Stevie and her, we stood in a small circle.

I looked over coldly at the Gryffindors, they where in there little group doing some rubbish, no doubt.
"Oi Goyle!" Angelina shouted "Slytherins up first!" I swore nervously as I walked to the opening of the tent next to Samantha, Norman and Mitchel.
"Ready?" I asked simply.
"Yeah" Mitchel grunted. We heard Professor McG talking,
"Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the first compediting group in the first task...Slytherin!" There was a huge cheer as we walked out "Samantha Craft, Harriet Goyle, Mitchell Crabbe and Norman Parkinson" We all raised out wands into the air happily.
"This is so cool!" I squealed looking around at the croud. I stopped smiling as I saw at the other side of the quidditch piece a box, I knew that was what we needed to get. It was on top of a small mountain like rock. I looked around to notice the pitch had been turned into a rocky sandy area. "GO!" I shouted pointing at the mountain, we all ran to it, when suddenly a troll appeared from no where blocking our path.

"Wow" I said as me, Kira and B stuck our heads out of the tent opening to watch the Slytherin team "If that's the small one-"
"That's the small one?" Kira gasped "I thought that was the big one!"
"Hey Stevie, check this out!" B said "Stevie-?" We all turned to see her over in the corner with someone in yellow robes.
"She's talking to Neil Corner" I muttered. He was smiling and saying somthing, Kira felt in her pocket and handed round extendable ears. "Guess she wouldn't mind" I smiled.
"So...I just wanted to wish good luck to you today, Stevie is it?" Neil asked.
"Yeah" Stevie said.
"Great, so...good luck and hope you score good" He smiled again, Stevie looked as though her knees had gone weak.

"Aww! That is so sweet!" I said when I hear their conversation. Suddenly I had a feeling that I was lonely. Kira had Will, Will ha Kira, Stevie had, obviously, Neil, but me? 'I have to find someone soon!' I thought smileing. "Look at the medium ones! They are huge!" I said looking at the pitch. Now I could tell that I was nervous! I couldn't imagine how big the big one will be. 'We can do this!' I calmed myself up seeing how the Slytherins where quite troubled. They obviously didn't have a plan cause three of them where fighting one troll and one of them was running away from the other screaming something to the the three. I entertained myself with the thought that he or she, I couldn't really make that out as they were all wearing the same robes, was crying out 'HELP!'

I sighed walking over looking a bit dreamy. "Wow, he's so my type" I said with a laugh. "Yea...'Kira said with a bit of a smirk. "Look at those things!" I said pointing coming back to reality. "I dont think i can do this" I said backing up a bit. "I'm scared" I said sitting down. "i cant do this" I said starting to take off my robes.

"Oh yes you can Stevie! I know you! You'll do just fine!" I said comforting her and sitting next to her.

I dived doging the trolls swinging bat, looking up at Samantha, Norman and Mitchell.
"Help me!" I demanded. Mitchell turned around and begun running to help me. "No you idiot! Watch out for the-" I stopped, he had just been hit by the trolls bat and flew through the air. He vanished in a flash of green light.
"What happened to him?" Samantha said as she and Norman finished there troll.
"Mitchell Crabbe has been elimanated from the first task." Mc Gonagall said loudly.
"They probably transported him to a safe place" Norman informed us. We all pointed our wands at the medium troll.
"Expelliarmous!" We screamed, the troll was thrown through the air and vanished in a flash of light, much like Crabbe. We all ran to the box, but as soon as we got onto the mountain the ground begun to rumble. We stopped as the sand threw us back, somthing was coming out.
"it's huge!" Samantha shouted as a troll, around 30 meters tall appeared.

"Woah! Slytherin has the giant troll...Look at the size of it!" A ravenclaw boy called from the tent enterance. We all got to our feet and hurried over to see.
"Gimeny Cricket!" I gasped looking at the size of it. "Where's Crabbe?" I gasped.
"There" B said over the other side of the tent. We hurried over to the back and looked out to see Mitchell in another tent, having a healer wrapping bandages around his head. There was a scream as the troll growled in the distance.
"Just remember the plan" I re-assured them all.

I quietly thought the plan through. "If we stick to the plan we should make it. Maybe we should use the 'wahiram' spell frist! On the bigone I mean... It woul make it weeker and then we can continue with the plan." I suggested looking at them aiting for the answer

"The Plan...right" I said thinking. "Wish we could use brooms" I said with a grin. "I'd just drop a bludger on his head" I said with a snicker. "Smart idea, but they would be cheating" B said. I mocked her, "Whatver B" i said as they called Gryffindor to the arena. :sorcerer:

I shivered, the forced a smile at B. "It's worth a try, I guess... Unless Will has something against it." I rolled my eyes, sat down, and folded my arms.
"Anyway, if it doesn't work we can just go back to the plan." I finished.

"Expellarmous!" I screamed as the troll moved back slightly. I looked around desperatly, Samantha had just been eliminated.
"Harriet!" Norman shouted running to my side. He put his arm around me and pointed his wand to the ground "Expelliarmous!" The force threw us up into the air. We pointed our wands straight at the trolls eye.
"Skurge!" We shouted as it hit him in the eye.

"Slytherin will loose ten points for each member that did not make it to the box. There charm work recieved top marks" Mc Gonagall informed the croud as me and Norman left, the box under my arm.
"Beat that!" I muttered to Stevie sticking my tounge out.

"We can do better then that! We have a plan!" I said calming myself down. I didn't show that I was nervous as we walked out of the tent and the croud started clapping. 'And so it begins!' I mumbled to myself

"Representing Gryffindor, please welcome, Stephanie Potter, Kira Weasley, William Granger and Birgit Black" There was an explosion of applause from the Gryffindors, modest claps from the Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff and a very weak effort from the Slytherin.
"Stevie" I said looking to her. She nodded and stepped forwards, leadin us onto the grounds. The box appeared in the distance.
"Ready?" Stevie shouted.
"Ready" Kira, B and me replied. We nodded and run forwards, wands in hand.

I laughed as we headed out onto the arena. "Look at the size of 'im" A Slytherin called, "He's a wimp, he'll never get past that troll" he said obviously pointing at will. "Dont listen to him" I said as i looked to Harriet who was grinning maliciously.

The Troll walked forward holding a large club in it's hand. It began making loud grunting noises, looking at the four of us angrily. It looked as though it were going to raise it's club.
"Now, Stevie, use the leg-locker!" I called.

"No! Expelliarmous!" I shouted pointing my wand at Stevie, she fell face first in the sand, but I had managed to make her duck from the swinging club.
"Ow! Will!" Stevie snapped angrily.
"MOVE!" I shouted as she rolled out the way, dodging the club again. "use Leg locker curse now!" I shouted. Stevie pointed her wand at the troll and waved it in two anti clock wise cricles then up and down. The blue light hit the troll's legs, leaving him still.
"Now, Go!" Stevie shouted.

"Expelliuramus!" I shouted as loud as I could, pointing my wand at the Troll, knocking it towards Will.
"Will, go!" I panted. Oh, and this is the SMALL one I thought to myself.
