Ability: She's a vampire.(Melani meaning drakness. Fitting huh? O_O) She's extremely strong and is also proficient in magic. Her vampiric powers allow her to catch images from the minds of others and to reap information without speaking a word.
Appearence: Auburn hair reaching to her lower back, cold blue eyes (almost white), fangs in place of her canine teeth, slender and small-formed. She's usually wearing something long and black when not in her school robes.
Backround: An outcast since birth.(vampiric birth. after she was turned) She began her "new life" in Paris in the late 17th century where she dwelled as an aristocratic child with her "Father." Nearly one hundered years later she left him to spend her death exploring the world. She sticks to the darkness as much she can but is in the light when she has to be(able to withstand sunlight for periods of time due to a potion she drinks). She has a bargain with the Headmaster/headmisstress that she won't kill off any of the student while she is at school. In exchange they give her portions of human blood at meals.
Other: She is a lover of fine art, music, and literature. She loves the night and roams it often, feeding on stray creatures around the grounds. She is fascinated by mortals and their ways. She also can be caught staring at everyday objects as if they were gifts from god. She would very much enjoy a new companion (romantically or otherwise) but dares not turn another in the veiw of the headmaster.

Sydney walked through the halls thinking about the strange dream she had last night.

Melani glides through the center passage of the Hogwarts Express, not stopping her movement until she reaches the very last compartmeant. She puts her hand the door hesitantly, but feeling that there are no other occupants, slides open the door gently and closes it behind her with just as much force. She conjures curtains to the window of the compartment and sits, curled up against the wall.

OOC: OH! Sorry, nevermind that other post!

IC: Sydney walked down the train looking for a place to sit. She finally found one with a girl sitting all alone. "Can I sit here?"

Caleb walked down the hall of the train and sighed. "Another year..." He looked around to find a compartment and found one with a few girls in it. "Hey, can I join you...?" He asked distractedly as he sat down anyways.

Jackie ambled through the halls of the train, looking for a compartment. She found one towards the back and smiled, having reached as far away from the goody-two shoes and preps as possible. She opened the compartment door and noticed several girls and a guy in there. "Mind if I sit here?" she asked politely, trying not to hit her head on the door frame.

"Jackie," Jackie nodded, shaking their hands at the same time. She then sat down on the other side.

"Caleb..." He said in a bored fashion. "Pleasure to meet you three..." He looked out the window and sighed again wondering how long the trip was going to take.

Sydney wasn't having much luck with this girl so she went to the end of the train. "Hi, I'm Sydney! Can I please sit here?"

"I'm a Gryffindor," Jackie replied," Sure, sit down," she said, noticing a bunch of newcomers come into the room.

Diana walked past the compartments of the train. She glanced quickly into several, but finding none with any room, it seemed, for her, she continued searching. As she neared the back of the train she spotted a compartment that didn't seem to be all that full. With a flip of her brown (and pink-streaked) hair, she entered the compartment. "Hello." She said boldly as she sat down, not caring whether or not anyone minded.

"Hey," Jackie nodded, twisting her already wavy hair with one finger while readjusting assorted pins on her bag with the other," I'm Jackie"

"Hi." Caleb replied to the newcomers with a smile. "I'm Caleb." He ruffled his hair and continued to smile at them.

Sydney sat down close to the window, and looked out with a smile.

As Charli sat down in the same compartment as Hary and Ron, Hermione came in and introduced herself to Charli and they all talked for a long time.

bic: Charli had only seen a wishful thought of her with those 3 great heros of her dreams. As she entered th real compartment, she met a few nice people and was ok that she was not with the others.
