"I agree with Lorii." Lena said after she swallowed her chocolate. Everyone was sitting silently pondering their own problems. "Let's do something for a change.." Lena trailed off thoughtfully.

Brooke grinned. "Okay," she said, shaking her head to get rid of her thoughts. Gossip was now out of the question, due to the fact that they'd probably all end up leaving. "So, what do you want to do? 'Cuz I can't think of anything," she whined slightly. Turning her head away and pointing her want at the stereo, Brooke flicked the track and was about to turn back when something pink in the corner of the window caught her eye. "Erm guys?" she asked. "What's that?"

"SAVE YOURSELVES!!" Nick yell-whispered, then ran off into the mist of the night into Mattie's manout backyard. The Ear fluttered in his hand and the breeze of running felt good against his skin.

Vienna cocked her head toward the sound Brooke pointed out. "I dunno, lemme check," she said quietly, hoping not to disturb whatever was out there so she could catch a good glimpse before it ran off.

Lori looked up quickly and shrugged. "Talking might help though, considering being all quiet doesnt help." She chuckled softly and her head perked further up as Brooke motioned something by the window.

"awh man." Mattie groaned and apparated back to his back gate, with a unlawful crack, that happened to echo.

"Did you hear that?" Lena asked sharply as a loud crack echoed around distantly. She walked slowly towards the window with Vi.

Standing up slowly, Brooke stood beside Lena as she neared the window. God, the Deatheaters weren't back? Were they?! The thought made her shudder, and then she rolled her eyes at her stupidity. 'Course they weren't. But she doubted someone would come to rob her house, and that had sounded like apparation.

Swearing furiously under his breath, Adam tried to run from the scene, but found it difficult, due to the fact that his legs where tangled up in the Extendable Ears wire. Still swearing furiously, he began to hop along the alley, until he landed flat on his face with a thunk. Blood trickled into his eye from a cut on his forehead, as he tried to army-crawl away.

Lori, joined them at the window and her amr flung around Brooke. "I'm scared..." She whispered edging a tiny bit away from the window. EEEE, she was too young to die, too many plans for this summer to die. NUUUU, dieing was not an option. NUH-UH.

Mattie waited, lenaing against his gate and sighed. Where on earth was Ad?

Vii laughed playfully. "You're not gonna...Hey! Is that...Ad?" she said, stricken. She squinted in the night, not sure what she was seeing. She beckioned to Lori and Brooke to come near, as Lena was already with her. "Is that 'im?" she asked, not sure if it was Adam, or a squirrel.

Lori peeered closer, and pulled her wand out, uttering 'lumos' quickly to reveal a pair of legs, poking round the side of the house. "Yeah, its Ad." She laughed, "We did invite you Ad, you just turned us and jammies down.."

Brooke edged closer to the window, dragged by Loris arm around her. Peering out of it, her eyes narrowed when she saw Adams sneakered feet poking around the side of the house, twitching every now and again. Pulling out her wand, she scowled and flung her bedroom door open, running down the stairs two at a time.

Reaching the bottom, she opened the front door and stepped out into the chilly night air, drawing her cardigan around her for warmth, as she searched the pavement for what she knew must be there.

Adam.
Charlie.
Stemp.

Hmpph. His head was sticking out into the street from the alley, and he was twitching in his bonds. Which seemed to be string. STRING! Who got tied up in string? The funniness of the situation was such that Brooke forgot to scowl and burst out into laughter, clutching her sides.

Oh Gawd. They'd seen him. This was not good. Adam could do nothing but lie on the street, twitching occaisionally to try to get out of his bonds. Without sucess. Blinking away the steady trick of blood that was coming from underneath his fringe and falling into his eyes, Adam scowled as Brooke approached. She would have to laugh. It was just so unfair. "Gawd Brookiee. Help meh will ya?"

With a giggle, Lori had followed Brooke down the stairs, slipping on once more no shoes. She had decided she was going to start a trend. Coming up behind Brooke, she too ended up laughiong in hysterics. This was classic. "Anyone got a camera? I think we gotta get this.." She laughed again and cringed as a crack came from beside her and Matties laugh echoed.

Mattie grinned. "Awh, Ad. You like not getting sway duntcha?"

Lena gasped as Brooke confirmed that it was Adam who was lying somewhere on the ground. She followed Lori and Brooke down the stairs and couldn't help but laugh at the sight of him. Then she saw blood!
"Are you hurt?" She asked him bending over and pushing his hair out of his eyes to reveal a cut on his forhead. "Ouch."

Giggling some more Lori watched as Lena gasped and took the steps towards Adam and revealved the cut on his forehead. It was of course his own fault. "First aid kit Lena?" She asked quickly as she teetered on her foot to run back and get one. Staying with Brooke equalled the first aid kit out most days.

"Yes please." Lena said, squinting her eyes as she looked at the cut. It wasn't very serious but so much blood was pouring out. "Do you mind if I fix it?" she asked him, wondering what he'll say.

As soon as the word yes had left Lenas mouth, Lori was gone. Gone and back in thirty seconds, clad with a bag of bandgaes, and wipes. Pulling a wipe out quickly she crouched near Lena, and dabbed it to Adam's forehead.

Watching them nurse, Vii said, "Did you happen to hear anything interresstiiing?" she stretched the word. It sounded pretty awkward, and couldn't help giggling at her self. An eyebrow, she tried to keep a straight face.

Lena took out her wand after Lori had cleaned the cut from blood and tapped it twice with her wand. The cut immediately began to shrink and then it dissapeared. She smiled at the thought of what her mum will say when she hears about how this little spell of hers had proved useful.

"What were you doing here anway?" She asked them as she realised that they weren't supposed to be hear and when she heard what Vi had said, she thought that they must've been eavesdropping. Wait! Did they hear anything?.

Adam stopped strugling as Lori and Lena approached and nursed him. Looking up at him, he couldn't help but smirk as he remembered the converations from earlier. The ones he hadn't been meant to hear. His smirk switched to a soft smile as he looked up at the two girls, two of his best friends, and he closed his eyes st their sensitive touch.

They opened though. Ads eyes. When Lena and Vienna asked him why he was there. "Erm, well..." he began, racking his brains for a cover story. "Well, I came to get my stuff, and Mattie and Nick tied me up with this," he indicated the Extendable Ears string, and used his eyes to plead with Mattie to go with it. "Now could you help? Please?"

Lori looked at Ad and chuckled softly. "Awh Ad. I think I prefer you all tied up. You cant kidnap me and lift me up to get shoes now." She grinned and moved a hand to tug at the ear string. It wasnt budging fast.

"Mattie. Your problem, YOU fix it." She scolded, looking back at him before glancing back down at Adam, with of course, her best attempt at an apologetic smile.

Mattie laughed softly, "But.. Yeah.. Thats... What happened." Of course it wasnt. BUt it was funny, seeing Ad all tied up.

"Lor. It wasnt MY fault. I blame Nick." Because he wasnt there.

Lena chuckled as she heard Adam's excuse of being there, it seemed lame but she thought she'll leave it to that.
"Where's Nick?" She asked them looking around but she didn't see any sign of him.

Adam rolled his eyes at Lori with a grin, silently wishing that her and Lena were fussing over him once more. His rolling eyes stopped and he closed them for a minute , composing himself and trying to figure out where the thought had come from. Opening his eyes once again, he rolled over and tried in vain to reach his wand. But it just wasn't happening.

Sigh. "Aw, c'mon! Someone! I pwomise I won't kidnap you again Lori," he said in a whiny voice, leading with anyone to let him out. 'Cuz now he was tied up, he'd figured out that it just wasn't fun. He smiled back at Loris apology-through-a-smile softly, deep in his heart praying thanks that she'd tried, at least.

Rolling his eyes at Mattie this time, Adam scowled up at him from his position on the floor. "I don' care who's to blame, jus' get me outta 'ere, right?" he cried, before turning at Lena's chuckle. He could tell that she thought it was funny, but he decided not to persue it, 'cuz well, he actually didn't mind. "I dunno. He did a runner, I guess," Adam said, with an attempt at a shrug.

Brooke giggled and pushed the camera she'd been using to take sneaky pictures of the squirming Adam deeper into her pocket, before pulling out the long wands that was nestled beside it. About to flick her wrist and undo her cousins bonds, she paused for a moment. "Hang, if you were only coming to get your stuff why where you in th... Oh, never mind." Brooke shook her head, determined to interogate Adam about his being in the Alley way at a later date hour. After undoing his bonds, she scaned the street quickly when Lena spoke."Yeah, where is Nick?" she asked, her voice concerned.

"I'm right... here..." Nick said, pulling out from behind a bush, wrangled in weeds from head to toe.

"Uggghhhh," he sputtered, a leaf falling off his mouth."Dizzz..gusting."

He instantly pulled out his wand, and the weeds transferred to where they should've been. "Now WHY couldn't I have thought of that BEFORE I head everything you were talking about?" he smirked, especially at Mattie. Thinks he can blame it on me, he thought, smiling, It was his idea!

"And no, Ad, I did not do a runner," Nick laughed. He went over and pulled Brooke and Vii into a hug, not knowing what else to do, and hoping that he would dazzle them enough to make 'em forget about the Extendable Ear thing.

Vii blinked fast a couple times, then fell into laughter as she saw Nick's appearance. As he pulled her into a hug, she didn't know how to feel.

Laughing softly Lori, fell back purposely from her crouch and sat on her butt. Yup, she was tired, happy and persisting not too laugh. Because that was mean. Smiling once more at Adam, she sighed. "Immmm tiiiireeed. And I could be eating chocolate right now AD. Your fault." She pouted dramatically.

Mattie laughed and poked his tongue out at Nick. "Course, it was my fautl.." It so wasnt.

Lena smiled as Nick hugged both Broke and Vii. "I'm tired too." She pouted sitting on the ground with beside Lori.

Brooke smiled as Nick appeared from behind one of the neighbours shrubs. Although his appearence was quite funny, she couldn't bring herself to laugh. For some reason, she wanted to be inside, and, as Lori said, eating CHOCOLATE!!

But she was startled when he said that he'd heard everything they were talking about. He hadn't, he couldn't have heard them before. And then she clicked on. He was talking about the conversation they'd just been having. About Adam, being tied up. And stuff. Brooke sighed in relief.

A sigh which changed to a catch of breath as Nick pulled her into a hug. It seemed weird to Brooke, that he was hugging her and Vienna at the same time, and she slipped out from under his arms. It was as Brooke broke away from him that she noticed the string at the now standing Adams feet wasn't string.

With a gasp, Brooke fled back to the open door of her house and up the stairs, throwing herself back on her bean bag. She'd had to get away from the scene due to a rather unappealing blush creeping up her cheeks, and colouring her face.

After standing, Adam rubbed his hands up the length of his bare arms, trying desperately to remove the red ridges the Extendables had caused. With no use. He sighed, and pulled both Lori and Lena up by their hands. "Sorry abou that, Lor," he muttered with a half smile, digging deep into the pocket of his jeans and pulling out a rather broken chocolate bar. "Here ya go," he said, pressing it into her hand with a grin.

Ad almost laughed when Mattie and Nick began to argue about who's fault it was. 'Cuz it was his; his idea to spy on the girls. His Extendable Ears. But he wadn't going to say it out loud. That would be just stupid. "How 'bout it was both your fault's?" he said with a smirk. He glanced down wryly at the Extendables, thinking about how Brooke owed him a new pair, 'cuz she was the one who has severed them.

Speaking of Brooke...

"Hey! Brookie, what's up?" Adam called after his cousin, with no effect.
