History: Avery comes from a very wealthy family, but is currently living with her grandparents. She really loves her parents, but they never seem to take the right path. Her mother is in and out of rehab and it is debated whether she is crazy. Avery’s father is a successful businessman, always going out of the country for work, but he is quite the alcoholic and struggles with that when he comes home. Mr. and Mrs. O'Niel are very kind and loving parents, but they have made it unsafe for Avery to be with them. She was taken away from their home last year and placed in the care of her grandma and grandpa, though she still often visits her parents. She can feel free to ask them for anything at any time and they tend to oblige. As though to make up for their bad parenting, they like to spoil her and send her money monthly.
Personality: Avery is a very smart and studious girl. She strives for people to be proud of her and the best way she can do that is through her academics. She is rather shy and very soft spoken, but once people get to know her she can be more herself. To most she seems like a sweet girl. She’ll be nice to anyone’s face, but if she doesn’t particularly like them she is quick to talk about them. Eventually it will be known how she feels. Avery is easily embarrassed so she doesn’t tend to be too bold.
Relationship: Avery is a pretty and wealthy girl so has always known some form of popularity, but she is certainly not a leader and has never been to Hailey’s level. She is easily used for her money and for her academic ability and that’s a large part of how she got into Hailey’s group. She is kind of like Hailey’s number four, but she doesn’t mind it as much as long as she’s in. It’s better to be in and killing yourself making sure to stay than to not be in at all. That’s how she views it. Avery will go to great lengths to stay where she’s at. She’d do just about anything for Hailey at this point.
Pets: At home she has a jet black Great Dane named Anatole (after a character in one of her favorite books) and a large spotted owl at school that she named Girard.

Overall: Avery has more of the preppy, well put together look. She certainly doesn’t look like she’s part of the lower class, but she doesn’t tend to flaunt her money through what she wears. Her hair is usually either down or in a loose ponytail and she is often seen carrying school books of some sort.

Okiesss...YAY! WE can start noww!!!

Alrightio, so we are going to start from the first day back at school: All the new first years and new students, *including Hailey* have been sorted into their houses. Hailey has been sorted into Slytherin.
Hailey has taken a seat at the table and everyone is desperate to meet her...including many of the boys.
Although, Caitlin and many of her other friends are eyeing her curiously from the Gryffie table. And many more people are wanting to meet her from the other houses.

So..That is how we are starting.....WHo wants to be first to Post????

Alyssa kept her seat beside Caitlin, her cousin, and looked over at the new slytherin wannabe. Yet she seemed more confident than Caitlin could be at times which could help her. Alyssa took a peek at hetr cousins expression and mimicked it on her own face. a scowl formed at her lips as she continued to watch the new girl with intentive eyes. Competition wasnt what Caitlin needed now.

Caitilin scowled at the newcomer. She could tell that this girl was going to steal her attention. The looks of the guys and everyone else said it all. She wasn't going to let that happen. Never.

Shane looked up as he noticed this new girl take her place at the Slytherin table. She was actually fairly pretty; he nodded his approval and then looked over at where Caitlin sat. He sighed inwardly. He figured she wouldn't take this newcomer getting so much attention well.

"Leave it Cait." Alyssa spoke in a whisper scared to offend her cousin. "Shes just a pretty face, nothing more." Again in a whisper but it wasnt going to work Caitlin never listened to her.

Caitlin looked at her cousin. "Yes, but she is stealing MY attention. She has to learn the first rule about this school. It's MY school," she said to her cousin with a nasty hint to her voice. She was always following her around and trying to be cool.

Shane could hear the conversation going on between Caitlin and her cousin. "You should cool it," he said joining in now. "She's new. Give her a break. Soon she'll learn the social order around here and fade into the background just like everyone else. That's how it always has worked and that's how it always will work." He rolled his eyes at Caitlin. She could be so over dramatic sometimes.

Alyssa smiled at her trying to seem as though she understood. Yet she didnt. It wasnt Caitlins school. and this other girl was far prettier. just casitlin was family and alyssa needed her to be herself. "i guess so." she mumbled as she watched the girl. then someone else spoke. he was telling her cousin to cool it. alyssa took a deep breath and decided not to say anything as maybe she needed a new personality and a new alyssa to follow this year and not follow her cousin around.

even thoguh alyssa was jelous of caitlin she did feel that caitlin needed an attitude check at times. she smiled at the boy and nodded in half thanks behind caitlins back considering she would eb left on her own if ever she saw that.

"She better. Or she will have to face the consequences," Caitlin said trying to seem calmer. She wasn't, but she didn't want everyone around her to keep complaining about her attitude. She loved her attitude. It was what helped her get to the top of the school, and she knew it.

Shane rolled his eyes at her. He knew Caitlin, they were friends after all. "Just give her time to adjust," said Shane. "Besides, the new kids always get the attention. And then after a week or so, they're no longer the new kids. Just some kid and everything will be fine. You'll see." But of course Shane had failed Divination, so his predictions weren't exactly the most accurate.

"cait." alyssa half asked, she had to ask for permission near enough for everything. "why dont you teach her the rules." she said quietly guessing what was coming as soon as she had said it. shane was still speaking so she stayed quiet but spoke in answer to him. "yeah, but what if she tries to overule us"

"Well, by the looks of it, that isn't going to happen Shane." Caitilin said motioning to all of the attention the girl was getting. Caitlin smirked after Alssya suggested this. "You know what...that's a great idea. I can't believe I didn't think of that."

Aly smiled. her idea, her cousin liked it. she was getting the hang of this. "you need a plan though. try to make he look stupid infront of everyone." she hinted again waiting for the backlash.

Girls. Why'd they have to be so catty and competitive? "I just think you're overreacting, Cait," said Shane firmly. "And if you're going to teach her the rules. At least be nice about it." He gave her a meaningful look. He didn't think Caitlin approaching this new girl would at all work out but he knew he couldn't stop her. Once her mind was set to something, she kept going at it.

He looked at Aly. "What? Embarrass her? No. She has to be nice," said Shane. "That'll just create tension. Geez. You girls always have to go about these things the wrong ways." He sighed and shook his head.

"yeah course she does." alyssa raised her eyebrows. being nice wasnt the way to go was it. "but if shes nice then shes going to try and hang about with us and then it will be even harder to keep ontop of everything." she said to shane but half to caitlin considering she was her cousin and she wanted to stay in the shadows of her cousin. to maybe one day become her bestfriend.

shane was twisting their plans about. he was a good friend of caitlins but alyssa had always felt that maybe he was a bit wrong in his ideas.

"I'll try your idea first. I'll be as nice as I can. But if she doesn't listen, I might have to go with Aly's idea," Caitlin said smirking. She would try to be nice, but she would be evil if she had to.

Shane rolled his eyes at both girls. "Alright, fine, but you're going to end up starting a war. I'm telling you. And if a war does start, I am not going to be part of it." He wanted to get that clear first. He didn't want to get in the middle of their stupid, girl problems. Especially one as ridiculous as popularity.

"fine." alyssa rolled her eyes and looked at the table. "atleast her first idea was goign to plan ey. she took one more look over at the new girl and sighed. "seems as though she has enough attention already. you might want to go and butt in. introduce yourself." alyssa spoke to caitlin asif she was her best friend as that was what she wanted to be, like when they were little.

alyssa rolled her eyed at shane. she didnt want to, her underneath didnt want to but she as caitlins understudy did. "war. because we would really start a war right." she smiled at him as she chuckled softly.

"Who said if it turned into a war, I'd want your help anyway?" Caitlin said smirking. "I'm going to go introduce myself. Talk to you guys later." She got up from the Gryffindor table and strutted towards the Slytherin table. She caught back some of the attention and she was glad. She walked over to the new girl and said, "Hi I'm Caitlin" in her sweetest most sincere voice.

"Hey, girls do those sort of things," said Shane. "Get all worked up over absolutely nothing or else something so trivial and then get themselves into huge messes. I've seen it before. I don't get it either. I mean, come on, who cares about popularity." Though he knew he was asking the wrong girls that question.

And she left. "Well, so much for my advice," he muttered bitterly.

"shes going to be nice. that was your advice hey." alyssa spoke before pulling the soft part of the bread roll out and placing it in small bits in ehr mouth softening it.

she had taken note to shanes reference of gettign worked up over nothing and spoke again. "she gets worked up because... well she has to stay on top or she feels worse about everything, im related to her. i should know."

"She has to stay on top because she feels worse about everything?" asked Shane. "And what's that supposed to mean?" He raised an eyebrow not quite understanding this reasoning. "That her life sucks unless she's the most popular girl or person or whatever in school?" Or maybe it was just a girl thing.

"if shes not on top then everything else feels worse to her. the slightest thing." she spoke quietly to him as she noticed cailtin looking over. "get it now?" she asked shane as anotehr piece of soft bread entered her mouth.
