HAIIII, I'm Dee!

Alrighty, so I was discussing this idea with the awesome people at The Shh/TP, and everyone seemed to like it so I decided to give it a try!

Plot:
What happens to the many witches and wizards who attend Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and all the other wizarding schools of Europe (and the rest of the world too, I guess) after they graduate?
According to HPL, nothing. (Thanks RaRaRachieee for looking that up. )
But that's no fun. College is one of the most exciting times of your life (or it's supposed to be, anyway. Lol)!
So, why not start up a university just for witches and wizards around the world? This isn't going to be the first university ever, in this RP universities are as normal to every witch's and wizard's life as it is to us muggles; nothing out of this world.

Wenlock University, founded in 1479 in honor of the popular witch Bridget Wenlock, is one of the largest magical universities in London, and it's well-known for its high standards and notable alumni. This is where our RP will be taking place, where a large group of students coming from different wizarding schools all around the world will meet each other for the first time (or not, perhaps some of them had already attended school together), and together enjoy some of the best years of their lives - there's still exams, and classes, and that stress that came with their first schools, but there's also a lot more freedom. You get to choose what classes you're going to take, when they'll start, how many days a week you'll go; there's no such thing as "detention" anymore, you're free to walk out of class whenever you want; and there's no nagging parents waiting to scold you for getting home at five in the morning. You're in dorms, there's no parents to give you rules! You're finally… an adult.
What you do with your time is entirely up to you; whether you do your homework or attend class is, again, up to you. You don't have to eat your vegetables anymore, and no nagging teachers will take House points away from you if you wander around past curfew. There is no curfew. But you still get to have the fun of joining sports teams if you like, and this time the matches aren't friendly little games between Houses - you play against other Universities now, against people who are seriously considering these sports to be their career. If sports are not for you, you can always join sororities or fraternities - as long as you make it past initiation.

So what will become of your characters once they begin living "the college student lifestyle"?
Some kids might go wild, they can't handle so much freedom. Will they go to class only once a week, take only two classes per semester and spend the rest of their free time playing Quidditch, partying, and chasing after girls until three the next morning?
Or will they continue with their goody-two-shoes personality? Take three times more classes than the average student, spend weekends locked up in their dorms studying?
Perhaps.
Or perhaps, some people will change… the nerdy girl will suddenly become the one everyone looks up to as the most beautiful, the most charming? Will the typical jock with his perfect grades and amazing Quidditch skills become a failure, too lazy to attend his classes and suddenly shunned by his classmates?
Who knows!

What your charries do in college, who they socialize with, what cliques they join, how they spend their weekends, how they perform in classes, everything is entirely up to you. Make them kings and queens, or make them failures. It's up to you. =]

So, the RP is obviously about kids attending the same wizarding university.
The layout for this school will be the same as any other muggle college or university, the only difference would obviously be their majors and classes which would have to match something kids in the wizarding world would take, obviously.

Some Must-Knows

• All the kids in the RP should be either in their freshman or sophomore year. No seniors about to graduate or anything, please.
• There will be two students per dorm room.
• Roommates must be girl-girl or boy-boy (bahaha, no, you don't get that much freedom yet!)
• Your character's class schedule is entirely up to you. It would be nice to have at least some charries with similar schedules so they can attend a class together and have a bit of it RPed out, though not the whole thing.
• If your character is a sophomore, he or she may already be part of a fraternity or sorority, and he or she may help come up with the evil tasks they'll have the freshies do as part of initiation into their frats/sororities.
• Characters are not limited to just students - you can RP a sports coach, a professor, anything you want.
• Since this is a university, not everyone will be native to its location (which would be England, I suppose). Your charrie may be an international student, if you want them to be.
• Since we're starting up a whole new school from scratch here, it would be a LOT of work and too much info at once to give you guys like a whole layout of the school's buildings and classes and this and that, so you may make that up as you go along.
• Be crazy, have your charries perform wild stunts, get them in trouble, put them in unlikely situations, just add on to the plot to keep it fun!
• If you guys have plans with someone else about dorming your charries together, just add in your bio something like: "Roommate: Bob Smith." If you don't have a roomie yet, we'll randomly mix the charries up together; aaaand if your charrie just doesn't want any roommates at all, he or she may have a single dorm room for themselves (just make sure to clarify that in your bio.)
• We'll be starting the RP about a month after the first day of classes, so everyone should be at least a little familiar with each other.

Appearance: In her own personal appearance Rosalind believes that she is the prettiest girl that she has even seen. She has mid - length brunette locks, which she keeps perfectly curled, and she normally adorns her head with her signature hair band (which varies in color day by day) During her school time she had the perfect school girl look, but she has outgrown that, but still remains in that sort of dress code, always seeming to be formal. She does tend to wear bright colors though, usually in your face yellow coats, or sharp blue sweaters.

History: Rosalind comes from a very prestigious family whom have a long cultural background within wizarding society. Her grandfather heavily invested in St. Mungos, and therefore the family are seen as a very charity ridden family, and Rosalind likes to promote this a lot.
She is an only child, and during her child hood she was extremely spoilt, being given everything and anything that she wanted. This has made her into a rather big brat, and she tends to get aggravated when she doesn’t get what she wanted.
Although her parents wished to send her to a posh private school in Wiltshire, Rosalind wanted to attend Hogwarts, because she believed that it was the best school in the world for learning about magic. As always she got what she wanted, and aged 11 she attended Hogwarts, being sorted into Slytherin. This began her rise to popularity, and soon along in her 5th year she took “Queen Bee” status in the .school, and started ruling the school with her small, elite group of friends, if you can call them that, they were more like her minions. Throughout her school life she really only had one close friend, and that came in the form of Barbie McCorkle. This girl was the only girl that Rosalind considered to actually be a friend, and the pair soon became close, more like best friends.
After graduating from Hogwarts Rosalind and Barbie decided that they would attend Wenlock University. It was easy for Rosalind to decide what subjects she would be studying, nothing dirty that would get her in a mess, so she applied to study History of Magic, Transfiguration and Ancient Runes, those being among her best subjects at Hogwarts. Once starting at Wenlock it was clear that she had most definetly not out grown her Queen Bee status, and decided to start a sorority at Wenlock, and of course she was the leader. Unfortunately her best friend did not want join, and she is still fighting the battle to get her to join.

Personality: Rosalind can seen to be very self-centred, and that is quite true. She cares about her future, and that is about it. She only has a small group of so called friends, yet she seems very popular, and that is because she is, a Queen Bee should be popular right? Her heart is in the same place, although she doesn’t seem to use it that much. She is an extremely clever girl, and thus this allows her to scheme a lot. She will do anything to make sure that she gets what she wants, and this does involve trampling anything and anyone that she has too.

Liesal came from an artsy, and creative family. Growing up the house was always splattered with paint and covered from top to bottom with paintings and drawings. Most of which were created by her energetic mother. The surname 'Bubz' is a well known artist name in Australia, thanks to Liesal's mom.

At the age of 10, Liesal was accepted into Sydney's own wizarding school, and it was there she had met her two best friends Steller, and Olivia. Life at Ferris (yes, ferris. xD) was the most enjoyable time for little Liesal. She was a born Quidditch player, and dazzled the Headmaster with her strength as beater. You see, Liesal was a really small built girl. Infact, she looked like she was weak, terribly weak.

Life was going good at Ferris for Liesal. She had friends, smarts, and even looks. She had gotten the OWLS she had wanted, and the NEWTS too. After her schooling, Liesal moved to London and began going to Wenlock University. After her schooling for that, she saw how wonderful it was to work there, and without a hesitation, she applied for a job as art teacher (she had asked the Dean to start one) and Charms professor.


Personality: Liesal is a very artistic and creative young woman, but she is not one to toy with. She has quite a temper, and could easily be set off if her day isnt going too well. Other than that, she has come to love the students of Wenlock. Liesal is also very motherly and takes pride in what she teaches, which is Art, and Charms. A freshie is someone in their first "year" and a sophomore is someone in their second "year." I'm using quotation marks 'cause we don't really go by years here (not sure if they do in England), but by semesters... -Flails- But to keep it simple and not confusing, just yeah. The freshmen are just starting, and the sophomores have been attending the school for at least about a year.

Well, if your charrie graduated at around 17 or 18 like most other wizard students do, then a freshie would be around 18 or 19 (unless, y'know, she took a year-long break after graduating before starting college or something... that's up to you), and a sophomore would be around 19 or 20.

The only ones who show magical aptitude, however, are Keira and Booth, whereas that ability seems to have skipped over Corinna.
As happens to most magical children, Keira received her letter from Hogwarts at the age of eleven and happily left on her journey into the Wizarding world, having heard stories from her mother about how amazing it was when she wasn’t learning about Celtic mythology(another of her interests). And during her seven years at Hogwarts, she showed she was gifted in wandwork, as well as History of Magic, receiving 7 OWLs and 5 NEWTs. However, she remains unsure about where she wants to go after leaving Hogwarts, although she wants to stay in the Wizarding world, so she applied to go to Wenlock.

Personality: Keira is friendly, adventurous, and intelligent. She makes friends rather easily, and while she sometimes seems like she would lead them into trouble, she cares about all of them deeply. She just also likes having fun, and her curiosity has gotten her into some messes in the past, like being caught trying to sneak into the Forbidden Forest while at Hogwarts. And while she wishes to remain in the Wizarding world, she also doesn’t forget that she’s half Muggle as well, which makes her feel like she has to prove herself sometimes. She likes feeling like she’s a part of something.

She has now bought a home in Swanage so she can be near her elders and get away from her ecentric lifestyle. Her grandparents and current homes are only small cottages. She speaks with a slight French accent due to living in France for so long. But Layla knows all the English ways due to her other life in England. Layla is escorted by her drier to the college every day. She attended the Beauxbatons ball in a French designer red and white ballgown.

Personality

Although Layla appears to be a right spoilt brat, she is actually warm hearted and very kind. She showers her friends in gifts like her parents had done to her and takes them on personalised shopping trips in Paris and London's Oxford Street. Layla is currently single and looking for love. She gets worried that people like her becayse of her money and not her personality. She tries to hide it but her parents insist on the driver. Layla is also highly intelligent having taken 10 subjects and an extra specialised training program. Layla can be extremely shy around strangers, something that isn't reflected when she's amongst friends. Layla isn't one to flirt outright with the guys like many of the girls at the University.
