A few minutes later, she jumped up in surprise. Someone was whispering her name in the barely lit common room. Turning around, she saw Severus standing behind her. "God, you scared me." She said, giving him a small smile. Noticing a small slip of parchment in his hand, she forced herself not to grin. It seemed like he would continue talking to her, which oddly enough made her heart beat a little faster. "What is it?" She asked him kindly.

Sirius choked on his pumpkin juice and started to chortle. He then stopped, but continued smiling. "Sorry!" he said outloud, to those that were watching him. He then turned to James. "You need to listen to us," he said, very seriously.

Livvy raised her eyebrow at Sirius when he started choking, "Honestly, the food isn't going to spontaneously disappear." she said to him with a smik.

She laughed at James, "I could think of a handful of people." she said quietly, not loud enough for anyone to hear.

Lily smirked at James, just hearing the conversation. She knew she was one of those few who didn't think of him all day, so she simply shook her head and returned to her food.

Peter started and looked at Sirius as he choked. 'Padfoot, you all right?' he asked, concerned for his friend.

Sirius looked at Livvy and said sarcastically, "Ha ha." He then turned to Peter, "Yep, I'm fine. See!" he said pointing to his skin. "No scratches!"

Cassie laughed at how Sirius looked. "Gosh Sirius! You would've thought the world was ending!" she said, cracking up.

Severus was nervous, he didn't know whether he should give her his note, he scared her so he thought against it and started back up towards the common room. Then he heard her voice calling him, so he slowely stepped back down the stairs and walked towards her. Gently, he put the note into her hand and then closed his own hand around her fist, staring into her eyes. He was shivering, but he wasn't cold, was it this girl's touch that made him like this?

Delius Nott strutted into the common room after dinner, with Gratia, Thorfinn, Mulciber and Ellyn Rosier trailing after him. He quickly stopped Severus holding onto Serena's hand, staring at each other. He turned sharply with his finger to his lips, warning the others to stay quiet. He crept quietly around behind a couch and aimed his wand at Severus' face, "Feverus Grotescetus" He whispered into the dark. Suddenly Severus' face got how and boils erupted along his forhead. Delius joined in the laughter that was echoing around the room from where the other SLytherins were standing, "Like it slimey, Scum-Bags?" He cried as he ran back over, next to Thorfinn and Mulciber.

Feeling the scrap of parchment against her palm, she quickly closed her hand around it so it wouldn’t fall onto the dark carpeted floor. Realizing a curse had been cast on Severus, she spun around quickly, jerking her hand out of Snape’s hold. It wasn’t because she was worried about being caught holding his hand, it was just the fact that she needed this particular arm to whip out her wand from the pocket of her school robes. Holding her oak wand steadily in her left hand, she reversed the spell that had been cast on Snape.

After inspecting that no damage had been done, she gritted her teeth and turned around to face Delius Nott. Stalking towards him, anger radiating from her, she walked right up to him, wand pointing towards his chest. “What do you think you’re doing?” She asked him loudly, forcing the laughter around the common room to dwindle down. “Who do you think you are?” She challenged, meeting him in the eye.

Severus felt his face grow hot. He cried out as boils erupted all over his face. "Aghh!" Then he felt Serena reverse it, he put his head in his hands and ran up the stairs to the boys dorms, embarrassed to the extent of silently crying, huddled up under the sheets in his bed.

Delius laughed coldly as the rest of his 'gang' circled Serena, more of them had arrived by now, Rabastan Lestrange, Helena Insk and Gabrielle McNair. He heard Gabrielle call out for Serena, "Gabrielle, do you want end up looking like Priya Judin?" The girl fell silent at Delius' words, "I didn't think so." he laughed harshly, "Now be polite and let the girl finish, what did you want to say, little one?" He was being sarcastic, he didn't care for any words that would come out of the little traitor's mouth. He just wanted her to say enough for the girls to launch a full scale attack. "Go on, Pumpkin." He sneered at her.

"if everyones done eating...we could go talk...in.." he glanced around, and lowered his voice to barely a whisper. "our usual spot," he muttered, barely moving his lips. Their usual spot to talk in private was the forest...the Forbidden Forest...

Watching a sneer form on Delius face, she grinned slyly. "Well, obviously someone avoided my question." She smirked at him, blue eyes bright. "Why are you picking on someone from your own house?" She questioned loudly. "We are SLYTHERINS." She said, emphasizing on the name she was "proud" of. "He's a Slytherin, let alone a Gryffindor. Why don't you just stop bullying people. Hmmm..." She said mockingly. "Oh. I know why, its because you can't take on James and Sirius."

Delius eyes narrowed, he saw Gratie draw her wand, "Oooh, iddle lonley Seweena is gonna stand up to us!" He encouraged the group to laugh, "Yes we are Slytherins, I'm pretty sure I am... Good observation."

When she said the last remark Gratia growled from her place in the circle, "Scum..." She breathed and aimed her wand at the back of Serena's head, "Mutio Gernumblis." She spoke quietly, barely loud enough to hear, there was bang and red sparks flew at Serena, hitting the back of her head. Delius laughed, "Fight us Serena. St. Mungo's will be happy to have you."

Snape was sobbing under his bed sheets; finally a friend, but she'd never talk to him again now. Pain gripped the inside of him; or was it anger? He heard a loud bang and a cry, "Serena!" He sobbed and grabbed his wand out of his pocket, he flew out of the dorm and took the stairs down three at a time, he landed at the bottom of the staircase, his robes flying, "SECTUM SEMPRA!" He screamed and pointed his wand at Delius.

Flying forward and yelling as pain hit her senses, she hit the carpet hard. Wincing, she pushed herself up and rolled around. "Expelliarmus!" She yelled, clutching her wand and pointing it at Delius, who she knew was the ring leader of the gang. Immoblizing him would be the best thing to do right now. Placing her hand on the back of her head, it was warm. Pulling it away, she knew what she would see. Grimacing and attempting to ignore the pain, she shot a few curses at Gratia, knowing her aim would be horrible considering the fact she was sliding in and out of focus.

Hearing a voice yell by the stairs, she slowly turned her head to stare at Severus who had...ironically came to her aid. Wasn't she supposed to be saving him? Not the other way around? Thoughts rambled into her head, and she laid down on the floor, eyes closed.

What if she follows?' he was worried, a trait that often came when they talked about their animal forms. Being an animagus in this school was often tricky, and Peter was very nervous about it for some reason.

Delius felt his wand escape his hand and fly through the air, he turned to see it hit the floor near the entrance to the common room; he was just about to run and get it when he heard a yell and felt his whole body tighten and sharp pain erupt on his back, he fell to his knees screaming in agony, he curled over to the side and passed out.

Severus was shocked, what had he done?? He could have killed him. It was then he noticed Serena lying on the floor; blood trickling out of the back of her head, "NO!" He yelled, and pointed his wand at Thorfinn, "Everyone LEAVE! Or you'll end up like him! Take him with you! I DON'T CARE! GO!" He knelt down next to Serena, "Serena? Can you hear me?" There was no answer, Severus heard coughing behind him; Gratia was on the floor, blood was spilling out of her mouth, "Merlin." Snape whispered to the silent common room; he stood Gratia up and put her arm around his neck, he llifted Serena up and did the same, they were really heavy, Snape was struggling to hold them up. He struggled all the way up to the Hospital wing. It was late, so noone was around, but even the couple of late night wanderers that Snape did see didn't offer help. He limped into the Hospital Wing, "Professor? PROFESSOR?" He yelled as he placed each of the girls on their own separate beds.

"Stop worrying, Peter, no ones going to find us," he muttered, and stuffed a mouthful of eggs in his mouth.

"You guys worry entirely too much..they wont find us, i promise. And if they do, no one in their right mind would venture into the forest.PLus," he lowered his voice, "We'll be in our animal forms..so they wont know its us.."

Lily looked at Livvy. 'You're not the only one. D'you think they're planning some weird plot to take over the school?' she joked. She'd often noticed the four talking in whispers about something. What, though, she'd no idea but wanted to find out.

Peter hesitated for a moment, before nodding. 'Fine.' he said, before turning back to his food and nibbling at it gently.
