Anna heard him and walked over grinning ear to ear. "Why, thank you for the consideration, Sirius. How unlike you. Yep, this is going to be a great night. Too bad we have three classes left! I can't wait for dinner!"

Sirius replied, "You're welcome, after all you were considerate enough to warn me." Not knowing where this new tone of his was coming from, the prankster just shrugged. "But don't worry, I'll be up and pranking again in no time!"

Peter sat down across from Sirius at the Gryffindor table and asked, "Why not just do a little something to the first years, Sirius? Give them a show." Peter started to put some shepards pie on his plate.

Allison looked up at Peter. "Don't you DARE do anything to the first years." She said. "Poor things will already be a little scared. Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" She didn't like it when they picked on the first years. Trying to prove that they are the boss around there. That was one thing that really annoyed her.

Peter looked up at Allison a little shocked. "Me?!" he squeaked. "According to most, I'm too stupid to hurt a first year by myself." He nodded his head in Padfoot's direction. "That's what Sirius does. I just help."

"Well. I am not refering to you in particular." She said. "I am talking to all four of you...Well. Three. Since Remus wouldn't do anything like that, he just doesn't stop you." She smiled at Remus. She knew whatever she said wasn't going to stop them, but there was no harm in trying.

Hearing Lily's comment about being suspicious, Sirius replied "I'll forget I heard that," turning to the food and playing it off as he was hurt. After Allison's defense of the first years, he knew that to stay in her good graces, he may have to go easy on them. "Besides, pranks are no fun if everyone is expecting me to pull one. They just have to happen."

James bit his lip slightly. "Sorry, than, if you prefer it that way," he said, smiling agian. "Evans," he added with a bit of amusement in his voice. Fake amusement, of course. Making fun of people didn't have it's drive like it used to. Even for Evans, or Lilly, or whatever. Hmm, something witty to say. But what? He thought for a minute, not coming up with anything, and looked at her, and to his friends.

Remus chuckled. He looked at his friends, and patted his slightly grey hair. He looked at hi sbook that he was holding tightly in his hands and quietly listened on the conversations.

While he remained silently eating the wheels in Sirius' head were spinning. Just because he hadn't pranked anyone yet, doesn't mean it wasn't going to happen. He just had to plan. Where to begin, he thought and when?

They couldn't do anything really big for the next few days because of the time of the month, but a little thing here and there wouldn't hurt as he smiled to himself mischieviously.

Sirius almost choked on the sip of pumpking juice he had been drinking as he listened to the banter. So their back to this routine again, he thought. Turning away from Lily and James, he looked at Moony and rolled his eyes.

Turning back to the two of them, as he was still listening in on their conversations, Sirius replyed, jokingly, "Aww shucks, I guess that means no pranking Lily!" as he looked between the two with his usual grin.

"You up for that?" James chuckled. "Remus won't even to the lightest stuff, it's hard to believe you'd prank, too."

Remus glared at him. "Hey!" he said, folding his arms slightly. He smiled at Lilly and rolled his eyes. "Don't mind him. He's just hiding-"

"SHUT UP!" James said, hiding his face, laughing in his hands. "Remus, just don't go on before you blurt something out you'll regret. Or I will."
