"Am I supposed to be afraid of you? Either of you? This is pathetic! I'm out of here!" He stormed off out of the Great Hall. He went down to the dungeons and into his common room. He was furious and every bit of him wanted to back up there and duel that guy that had stood up to him. The only thing that stopped him was the fact that he would be easily out numbered.

"Wow! Can you believe the nerve of that boy? I can't believe it! Oh, and none taken. I've had him for DADA the past few years, and he knows I could easily take him. Ugh! I can't believe he said all of that. It's just horrible that someone could think anyone deserves to be attacked," Christine said all of this rather fast and she was furious.

Calming down Christine said, "Well I didn't get very good marks my first five years. I really thought I could just get by, but I was wrong. Now I'm working really hard. But I always did exceptionally well in DADA, and I think I want to do something with that talent. Maybe be an auror, I don't know. As for Quidditch, I play. I play at home and here for fun. I've never been a team though. I mostly just like to fly. I absolutely am fascinated by flying on a broom. I adore it! Enough about me. Tell me about you. What do you want to do after Hogwarts? And what do you think of Quidditch?"

"me?" he asked." well my mum was an auror and so is my dad. Seems like their's nothing else to do but be an auror at my house. I spent a few years with my dad on his ... well i guess assignments. I've seen what its like to be an auror and its really not that bad.I've been studying DADA and Charms since i can remeber. It's what my dad wants. Other then that i would like to go pro in qudditch. I love qudditch. I cant really find anyone to play because charlotte doesnt like to fly. During the summer i cant do anything. i have muggle friends but obviously they cant play. I play seeker. you? You should come over during the break, we have a quidditch field at my house."

Madeline looked around the hall only finding a few familiar face among the sea of new faces. She hung her head allowing her messy curls to fall in her face. She had never once felt so alone as she did now, with out Anderson to tell her she would be okay, she felt so isolated and numb.

Jamie wasn't going to sit around and mop like the others, he was going to have a good time and live his life. Glancing over at his cousin Ashby who seemed more quiet the usually. But he couldn't blame her for feeling depressed and alone, even though she had him.

Ashby looked over at Jamie who seemed more happy then usual. It kind of bothered her for some reason she couldn't understand. Taking a sip of her pumpkin juice, she couldn't help but wish she was back in the states and back at her school. Ashby really wanted to say something to Jamie but she couldn't find anything to say.

Addison couldn't give a care about to the new kids, who were all so depressed and unhappy. She was to happy to be back at school and to be around all of her friends. Glancing over at Teddy who was busy having a conversation with Cody. She looked over at one of the new kids who actually seemed to be happy "Hi !!".

Jamie flipped around at the word 'Hi' to see a happy red head looking back at him. "Hey, I'm Jamie." he smiled.

Addison gave Jamie a huge smile "I'm Addison and it's great to meet you." she said with another big smile.

Teddy looked over at Addison and the guy she was talking too, before turning back to Cody. "Why do these St. Vertigo's kids have to be here anyways ?" he asked "Aren't there other schools back in the states ?". He was angry with them and the headmistress for letting them in.

Cody wasn't sure why Teddy was so angry but he could understand where he was coming from. "I'm sure there are other schools back in the states." he answered "Maybe the other school couldn't take some many students.".

Delilah sat at the Slytherin table playing with her food. She wasn't hungry and she certainly didn't want to eat in a crowd hall with those people. 'I want to be with my father in Paris' she thought as looked down at the table. This wasn't her school and these weren't her friends and so would never be happy at Hogwarts.

Noel sat quietly at the Ravenclaw table listening to everyones around her. It felt so strange to be surrounded by complete strangers who didn't even know she existed. She was just happy by the fact that know one had tried to talk to her. Taking a bite of her mash potatoes, she thought back to her friends that were no long with her.

Madeline looked around the hall once more and couldn't help but feel like she was about to cry. Quietly getting up from the table and leaving the hall without being noticed. She really didn't want anyone to watch her cry and she really didn't want anyone to feel sorry for her. Walking outside, Madeline took a deep breath and started walking towards the lake.

Josh nodded."yeah it would be fun. maybe you should try out for the team." he sujested as he took another drink. He wondered when class would start, he couldnt wait to start DADA.

charlotte watched the two talk but noticed a girl she hadnt seen before sitting at the table." hi. Im charlotte." she said to her. she thought she might be from the other school." are you new?" she asked her.

Josh smirked." Its... interesting. i dont go with him now but i did for a couple of years. Its really dangerous and the really ... weird part is when you are in danger ... you kinda feel like the world stops, for like the few seconds that your staring at the person who could potentially kill you. at the same time its exciting and you get a rush. " he smiled." but you have to know your stuff, tests your bravery.It would be really cool to have a professional come to class and dual. good pratice."

Madeline sat alone at the edge of lake, just looking at the blackness. It seemed to remind her of how she as feeling. She could still hear her brother voice telling her that it was his time. When he had uttered those words she couldn't understand what he meant, but now she understood what those word really meant. It wasn't only her brother she lost, it was some of the greatest friends she had ever met and the only person who had ever made her really smile.

Alex stood up and walked out of the Great Hall to explore the grounds a little bit. He wamted to get out of the chatter of the Great Hall and needed to freshen up and get out of this gloomy mood. It was very unlike him to be sitting there quietly, without people to talk to. He was usually the one who talked a lot and the most random things in the world.

He walked towards the Lake and found someone already seated at the edge of the lake. He walked closer. It was a girl. He walked still closer and realised it was a girl from his school. Someone he had never spoken to before. Walking over to her, he sat down next to her.

"Hai!" He said and smiled at her.

Noel gave Charlotte a small smile "It's nice to meet you also." she said softly. She felt like running away instead for talking about what was once her school. "No it's fine you can ask me whatever you like." she lied with another small smile. "Well to answer your question my school was a lot different then here." she answered with as little detail as she could. Noel knew that if she started talking about St. Vertigo's, she would remember that horrible night.

"Pleasure to meet you too, Madeline." Alex said and played absentmindedly with the grass, but looking at her.

Alex nodded when she said she was uncertain about what she feels about this school yet. Fair enough. They hadn't exactly been here very long."Oh. Well. I like it so far." He said. "It just feels a little weird to come here at the start of the year instead of ..." His voice trailed away and he didn't finish the sentence. He couldn't finish it.

Madeline looked at Alex as he stopped short of finishing his sentence, she understood why he couldn't. "I feel exactly the same way." she said softly as she thought back to her brother and everyone she had personally lost. She was almost certain he had lost someone also but she didn't dare ask. "I miss the school." she added quietly.

“I miss it too.” Alex said so softly he himself could hardly hear it. His thoughts were diverted to all the happy years they had spent in that school. All gone. Vanished.

Urgh. Thinking of St. Vertigo’s was getting too gloomy and depressing. He was okay over the holidays, but now that he was amongst people who had been there with him, everything was coming back and it seemed like only yesterday, that the whole school was attacked.

A change of topic was needed.

“So, which subjects are you favourite?” He asked her the first thing that came in his mind. Yes. Talking about classes is generally considered a pretty lame thing to do, but he couldn’t think of anything else.
