Build: Naturally slender and very petite.

Appearance: Madeline is very laid-back when it comes to her sense of style. You'll usually find her wearing a pair of jeans and some random tee shirt she throw on. Sometimes she puts her hair up but usually she just lets it hang freely. The only shoes you will ever find her wearing are a old pair of low-top black Chuck Taylor's. She likes wearing different colored cardigans and hoodies. Even though you would never know it she has her ears pierced several times and has an industrial bar in her right ear.

Personality: Madeline has a very carefree and free spirited nature about her. She is a daydreaming romantic who believes love is the most beautiful thing you can ever have. She often has a smile on her face and always seems to be happy. But Madeline is also utterly naive and gets confused easily and she can't read people at all. Madeline has a childlike innocents about her. She does have her very quite moments and then occasionally has a loud moment. You will never find her raising her voice, since she believes its horrible to yell at anyone. She is a very sweet girl who cares about everyone of her friends. Every since her brother was killed she been somewhat overemotional and a little numb to everything around her.

Extra: Madeline had a very normal childhood and was always happy to be around her older brother. Her older brother Anderson was killed during the attack at St. Vertigo's.

The Great Hall was louder than normal and Mozzie fed off the buzz with the happiness of a whole sugar stick consumption. She bounced around on her seat beside Nolan, eyes bright as she took in the many new American students, wondering which ones would make a good addition to her crew. That's what they were referrred to as, Mozzie's friends. The Mozzie Crew. She liked that name.

She glanced at her friends, trying to read their personalities (but she was rotten at reading people). Nolan seemed to be exmaing in the Hall, too, like she and Boo. Tristan seemed more interested in his mashed potatoes than he did anything else, but she didn't expect anything more from him. Tristan was always in his own world. Boo seemed to be trying to get his attention and Mozzie frowned slightly at her failure; Boo was typically good at getting his attention. She watched the two Gryffindors at the Ravenclaw table for a moment before her interest declined.

Humming happily, she bounced in her seat, the bells of her ribbons jingling in rhythm with her movements.

"Gosh, Motzie," Nolan said, jerking his attention to his jingling friend. Reaching over, he grabbed for one of her ribbons and made to yank it out. He retracted his hand as Mozzie's own hands flew to her head with a loud "No!" They stared off for a moment, Mozzie pouting and Nolan exasperated and, as usual, Mozzie won.

"Those bells are annoying," he muttered, tearing off a bite of his roll.

Mozzie beamed in exaggeration and nuzzled Nolan's shoulder. "Love you too, Nollie."

Boo chuckled at Mozzie, casually eating away on a chocolate bar. She, too, had noticed Tristan's silence and somehow it seemed heavier than usual. She gave his shoulder a gentle poke, tilting her head to the side in curious inquisition. Tristan didn't seem to move and merely gave off a grunt. Making a face, Boo prodded Tristan again and in response he merely shrugged her off.

"What's with the extra silence?" she muttered, to no response.

Olliver Stratton was used to blending in. He was good at fading into the background and allowing himself to become part of the scenery, a backdrop of mundane interest. Strangely though, he sat at the Ravenclaw with eyes, so many eyes, on him, making his skin crawl. For safety reasons, he gently shook his head, letting his long locks of hair fall forward, curtaining his face.

He didn't want this attention. He didn't want to know that people were staring at him in such a curious manner, wondering. Wondering how he felt, what he was thinking. He wasn't scared; people didn't scare him. But he didn't like the pity he could feel. The Awww that poor kid. He came from such a traumatizing event. Pity was what he recieved from friends and ex-girlfriends. He was tired of it.

Unlike many others, Celeste did not want to be here. She did not want to be a member of the prestigious Hogwarts. St. Vertigo's lay in crumbles, kids were dead and others were injured. The girl who slept in the bunk beside her in her dorm had a broken leg. It was impossible to just, return to normal. Her stomach heaved slightly as she sat at the end of the Ravenclaw table, dark eyes down, examining the wood.

Beside her, Sai yawned and without looking at him, Celeste nodded, subtly. Yes. She was tired too. And she really didn't want to be here.

Josh sighed as he entered the great hall with charlotte then complaining." I cant believe you made us late. I told you i was hungry an hour ago and you promised it would only take you ten minutes!"

"oh pipe down. it could be worse." she said smiling at him as they headed over to the ravenclaw table.

"you and your ribbons." josh muttered as he payed no attention to the new kids from st. vertigo. he did feel bad for them. it probably seemed like their home was destroyed, everything was completely new to them.Josh sat next to nolan hearing something about annoying bells." they are kind of annoying." he put in as he sat down." hey." he said everyone else with a smile.

Charlotte sat down next to josh." you just dont understand how fun they can be. right mozzie." she said leaning forward to look at her

Inez finally came skipping into the great hall and took a seat at the ravenclaw table on the other side of Tristan. "Hi Tristan!" she said happily, before sticking a bright blue straw in her mouth and slerping out some more of her soda. "Hi Boo, hi Nolan, hi Mozzie, hi Josh, hi Charlotte!" she said as fast as she could so as to get it all out in one breath. She let herself inhale then grabbed a roll.

Being Inez she didn't even notice all the new people. Just big first years maybe? She glanced over by the large oak doors for Quentin half expecting to see him, but he still wasn't there.

Kale and Mikah slowly made their way into the great hall after a large group of unfarmilliar people. Mikah groaned quietly to herself and stopped where she stood. She hated that they had to go to a new school and make new friends. She spotted the people that were wearing the same robes as her. Ravenclaw. She wanted to go over to Slytherin with her brother. Could she?

Kale glanced at his sister and rolled his eyes to himself. He didn't like it much either, but he wasn't going to just stand here. Taking out his book from his back pocket he went over and sat at the large Slytherin table.

Abby looked over the top of her glass, categorizing the St. Vertigo's people as they ate. So far, they were all falling under "boring and depressed." What did they want? A welcoming comittee? Not from her.

She took a sip and set her feet on the bench beside her, raising her eyebrows at the third year Slythie who seemed intent upon sitting there. "Sorry," she said, "taken."

With a small sigh, she watched him back down the bench to another empty spot. She put her drink back on the table and returned to people watching.

JJ didn't like seeing people like this. They were so dead. It was simply disturbing. He abandoned his table to do a little cheering up. There, perfect. The little red-headed girl. It looked like she could use some consoling.

"Hey!" Jesse strutted toward her, a huge grin on his face, his arms held out. "JJ Sampson. Who're you?"

Abby looked him up and down. Did he want a hug or something? Dude. I am not the welcoming comittee. It didn't seem like he was going away. She blinked several times before grabbing her plate and standing up. "Abby Fern. Think you could leave me alone?" She faked a smile before heading toward the Ravenclaw table.

Oh. Right. JJ frowned for a moment before following her. He wasn't prepared to give up on someone so easily. And obviously, she really needed the cheering up. So he followed her. "Fern? Like the plant?" And when she sat down by a group at the Ravenclaw table, he sat too. "Or the fairy?"

Kat puffed out her cheeks and took a bite of food over her muggle novel. She was trying to distract herself from the St. Vertigo's students. Their... overly sadness air was just about too much. She kept an eye out for any of her friends. They didn't seem to be showing up anywhere near the Gryffindor table.

Turning a page, she wiggled around in her seat. It was just about time to switch seats. Maybe a new table too.

Dude was running around somewhere near the Hufflepuff table. But Kevin didn't seem to care. He was too busy staring at his plate. Of anything that could have happened, losing a fifth of his friends and his school did not make the list of good and awesome things. No. This wasn't even a little bit cool. Not at all.

Grace wasn’t paying attention to anything that was going on around her. She was too preoccupied in looking at all the new students who will be joining them from America. She even smiled at a few of them when they caught her eye, but she didn’t get the same greeting from them. In normal circumstances, she would have called this rude and never speak to any of them -- ever. But this wasn’t normal. They were told what had happened to them and if they were in a less that cheery mood, she wouldn’t blame them.

Her eyes fell on a guy who was sitting, not far from them, with hair on his face. She had never seen him before and guessed he was from America. She tilted her head and looked at his face. “Hello!” She said, grinning at him.

Alexander Starbright sat on the Ravenclaw table and ate his food quietly. He wasn’t quiet because he hated being here or any of those reasons. On the contrary he like it at Hogwarts so far. He was quiet because he was too preoccupied in looking around the Great Hall to even take notice of the curious looks he got from many students. So this was going to be his new home. It felt a little weird coming to England instead of going to St. Vertigo when term started. He will he starting without Kyle. Here he is, sitting in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, unharmed and his best friend died so he could be here. Tear filled in his eyes and he whipped them away and suddenly, he wasn’t feeling all that cheerful anymore and he didn’t feel like eating either. Pushing his plate away from him, he starred at the food in contained.

Inez looked over at Charlotte with a slightly confused look, but shrugged it off and smiled. "It was super fun. My mom even let me stay at Quentin's for a while! How was yours?" She stuck the little bendy straw back into her mouth as she waited for a reply and glanced over at the door. She was starting to get a little impatient. Where was it that he had to be that was so important on the first day back to school?!

charlotte took a drink of her water while she listened to inez. "mine? oh it was alright. I didnt do much besides some homework. I went over to Josh's house for a month before the end of the summer. we basicly hung out the whole time, Nothing exciting really." she noticed that she was staring at the door. "you waiting for someone?" she hoped she was prying.

Jolie sat not too far away from a crowded group of people at the Ravenclaw table. She carefully placed balanced amounts of food onto her plate; a roll, a spoonful of potatos and other foods. Jolie bit her lip and scanned the Great Hall with her grey and green eyes.

"It's even more crowded than usual." She muttered to herself, remembering the St. Vertigo's students had arrived not too long ago. Not that she didn't like crowds.. it was just she was shy. Extremely shy. And sometimes large groups of people could intimidate her.

Brigitte rolled her eyes at her sister's comment and swept over the students as well. She, unlike her sister, was extremely outgoing and well.. was quite eager to see what St. Vertigo's students looked promising.

"Jolie - go introduce yourself to someone for a change instead of sitting there looking awkwarldy out of place." Brigitte hissed.

It took Olliver a few seconds to realize he was being spoken to. Despite the many eyes upon him and his school friends, Ollie was so used to blending in that he found himself rather shocked to being spoken to. He blinked, parting his hair to the side and peering out at the girl.

"Oh. Uhm. Hi. Hi, hello there," he squeaked softly.

Mozzie leaned across the table to poke Inez with a random straw. "Heeeey," she complained. "Where's Quentin?"

Mozzie herself had a certain soft spot for Quentin; he was one of the few people she didn't annoy intentionally. He was usually the one to help her when she was having problems. Or when Boo was. It was strange to see Inez without Quentin (which made Mozzie wonder; how did Inez find the Great Hall without getting lost or tripping or dying?) just the same as a Mozzie without Nollie or Boo without Tristan.

It just wasn't natural.

Marcus sat at Slytherin table snickering. He was a popular guy and everyone liked him fine enough, but he didn't have a real particular group he hung around. Just random people he would hang around for a week or two and then he would move on. As he sat and ate in the Great Hall he said aloud in a sarcastic tone, to no one in particular, "Look at these poor, poor kids. Oh do I ever hope all of these American boys and girls are adjusting well." He waiting for giggles and the unavoidable glares as he laughed at what he had just said.

Christine sat at the Gryffindor table and felt awkward. She had never felt anything but totally comfortable at Hogwarts, it was her second home. However, tonight with all of the new students she felt a heavy burden to make sure all of the new students had a smooth transition. She thought about what she could do or say as she ate some rice. Then she heard that jerk Marc talking from across the hall; when she heard him she wanted to jump up and curse him, but she thought better of it and continued to sit.

She was quite excited about the new people joining them, even if they feel a little less than happy about it. But she doubted they could be like this for much longer. Hogwarts will cheer them up. She was sure.

I hope that they'll feel welcome. however it's all a great tragedy. Do either of you know that guy Marcus Tull? Well he said something nasty about them earlier. I hope he's one of the only who says anything negative to them. I just hope they can have as smooth a transition as possible to Hogwarts. What do you think?"

Marc looked around at the new students in disgust. He finished eating and got up to leave. He walked slowly through the Great Hall surveying all of the 'new kids.'

"yeah im not quite sure they would think its fun. lets line them up and make them tell something about themselves." he said then laughing a little." I actually use to go to st. vertigo before hogwarts. its a good school, shame its gone. im sure they will rebuild it. I kinda feel like we should leave them alone. its not like they wouldn't rather be at st. vertigo instead." he shrugged." im sure its different for each person."
