Neville stood there silently, waiting for one of the girls to answer the professor's question. Neville thought about what the professor had said. What order was he talking about? And of all the classes that they could possibly have first, why flying? Neville had never been on a broom before.

"Good,"Hermioen said."And you,James."

"What yes I`m fine but I was asking Nevile" said James smilling.

"I'm . . . good." Neville replied nervously, a little confused as to why James only cared about how he was doing.

Hermione rolled her eyes and told Neville,"I'll see you in the Great Hall.I'll save you a seat."Hermione walked past Professor James and went into the Great Hall and took a seat next to Harry and Liam.

Kat totally could tell James's interest in Neville, her eyes went from James to Hermione as they talked, and once turned to Neville, who was not in the mood for it. She knew she didn't need to stay but she also knew that if she left the conversation would turn really awkward for Neville, so she decided not to follow Hermione.

"Save me a seat as well!" she told Hermione, as she looked away to seat next to Harry and Liam, that wouldn't be great as well.

"Wow, flying, huh?" she started, just the thought of doing that just with a broom slightly frightened her, "I've never done that before" then remembered all the times she was in a plane "Well, not on a broomstick...I hope you're a good teacher" she told James.

"Don`t worry I`ve taught before and anyway if your not good you can come to my extra lessons and how are you um sorry but whats your name. Nevile if you want you can go and remember if you ever want anything just ask me" said James tring to be nicer he added "Hermione and your other freind too"

"Okay," Neville said, his cheeks reddening slightly. "Thanks." He turned to walk away, hoping to get as far away from James as possible. Neville hated all the attention he got.

As they walked away, Neville turned to Kat and gave her a small grateful smile. He was glad that she had decided to stay with him and James.

Kat could see Neville lighten a little bit when the conversation turned to an end, and smiled back at him, she was now looking to where Hermione sat, and joined them at the table.

"Well, now we know that we'll have flying as our first subject today" she said to the ones on the table, the word subject didn't sound right to her.

"Subject?Class sounds a little bit more like first years,"Hermione said."James is okay.He's not the best.The way he said, 'I was talking to Neville'.He didn't have to say that.He could of just said 'I'm fine'."

James felt a bit awkward he should have been more nice.He hurried of to the cortyard laid out some broms and waited for the children to come

Harry heard them say something about James. "Are you talking about my father? Guess what? We have his class first today! I'm so excited! It's gonna be great." he said. He was very proud of his father being the flying professor.

Teagan skipped into the Great Hall a bit late. She sat down next to her friends and began to eat. Mmm, the breakfast was good, too. She listened to what everyone was talking about. "Ooo, is your father a professor? What does he teach? I bet it's really cool to have a father who teaches." she said.

"It is cool, he teaches flying!" Harry explained. He was still eating breakfast when the woman who had led them in last night began to hand out something. "Hmm, I wonder what she's doing? Maybe she's giving our schedules?"

Kat turned to Hermione, "Yeah, class sounds much better, I guess I was still used to call it different" and shook her head, "I guess he was a little bit rude" she said about James, "But he probably didn't mean it that way".

"Hmm, I think those are our schedules, oh, how great! I want to know what we have after flying!" her voice sounded high now, she was really happy about starting classes.

Kat served some breakfast for herself and some pumpkin juice as well, "Sorry we didn't wake you Tea, I thought you were already awake" she told her.

"I did too,Tea,"Hermione said."We have flying first,just to let you know."

"Oh, that's alright. Flying first? That's so cool! I cannot wait! Ooo, this is gonna be so much fun!" Tea said, do a little dance in her seat. "I wonder what we'll have after flying? Maybe we'll learn how to turn people into frogs! That would be amazing! I could use that on some people at home..."

Harry ignored Teagan's strangeness. She was a weird girl. Turning to Liam he asked, "How many classes do we have in one day, do you know? Hopefully we'll get some good breaks in between."

"I hope we don't have to do anything too hard in flying," Neville said anxiously. "Hopefully, we won't even get off the ground today." Neville was really worried about flying. He was also nervous that James would single him out during class.

"If we do,"Hermione said."Don't go too high.You might fall of and get stck on a pole or something."Hermione laughed and added,"Don't do anything stupid."

Kat agreed with Neville, she thought it could be fun, but since she had never been on a broom to fly before, she was really nervous, "Nothing stupid! Right!" she said to Hermione.

Kat took her schedule and stared at it, "Do we have the same classes?" she asked, although she probably knew the answer alread, they belonged to the same house.

"Let me see,"Hermione said.She took Kat's schedule and skimmed it."I believe so."

Neville looked at his schedule and compared it with Kat's and Hermione's. "Yeah, it looks like they're exactly the same," he replied. "We have Potions after Flying. I wonder what that'll be like."

"Sweet,"Hermione said."Potions sounds like fun!"

Kat turned to Hermione amazed, "Fun?" she said, only the name sounded really bad, "I'm not sure Potions will be fun, it sounds kind of difficult" she added.

After realizing that all her friends schedules were the same, she said "The good thing is we're going to get through it together" and smiled, she couldn't believe how easy it was for her being here at Hogwarts, but getting along with people was the greatest for her.

"Ya,"Hermione said."We're all in this together."Hermione got her schedule back from Kat and put it in her robe pocket.

"Potions does sound hard," Neville agreed with Kat. "But you're right, we can help each other." Neville smiled at his friends, glad that he had made such good friends in such a short amount of time.

Suddenly realizing that he hadn't touched any of the food available for breakfast, Neville piled some scrambled eggs and sausage on his plate and began to eat.
