Jack nodded sliently his stomach churnign once more as he got on behind her. He placed one arm around her waist and then the other one went round aswell. He was ofcourse still holding his wand tightly, attempting to renember some spells.

Making sure that Leigh was on the back of his broom, James pulled her arms around himself and stedied the broom. kicking off hard, James let his Firebolt ride a few feet into the air before pausing. As he hovered, James looked down and made sure that everyone was ready, had a broom, before zooming off towards Hogsmead.

Lance stopped in mid air, "I'll fly ahead a little ways and make sure that everything is clear and then I'll signal back if it's okay." He didn't want some of the firsties getting into a situation that was crazy and it would be harder for the students doubled up on brooms to fly away. He headed forward a little bit..."The path isn't too windy, so just stay about fifty yards away...I think the brooms that are doubled up might have trouble flying away quickly if we ran into something."

James heard Lance slightly behind him, and noticed him fly past. Ignoring his comment on how Lance should go ahead, James Devon Werkheiser ept level with the other boy, flying fast towards the village. Hearing him say something about doubled up fliers, James slowed down. After muttering a quick apology to Leigh for the sudden movements, James turned his broom towards Lance.

"Why would we have trouble flying away?" he asked.

Jack and Narcissa were already in the air and hovered back behidn the others, as instructed to do so by Lance, they had been left there. And Jack could clearly see that James had slowed down and was speaking to Lance. wHAT WERE THEY TALKING ABOUT? Jack gave a light sigh and kept his usually closed eyes open.

OOC. ill let you know now, im not going to be here from next thurdsday night for atleast 2 weeks, holiday to a nans who doesnt like computers sucks. ALOT.

hopefully i can try and get a computer during that time, at a friends, or my aunts.

Lance could see James flying up closer in the corner of his eye...great James was fixing to argue with him again...this whole I gotta look good for Leigh thing and fight against Lance putting his neck on the line was getting old...but Lance swallowed that thought and stopped listening to James.

"Well, I just don't think it's a good idea that we all go flying there in a line that makes it easy to be attacked. Plus, obviously, the brooms with a second person are slowed down a little bit and the brooms with two people have firsties on them. I'm just trying to be a little bit safe and not get everyone ambushed at once IF that is what's waiting for us. Atleast if one of us gets attacked the others would have time to fly away if they are all behind. " Lance was talking fast and under his breath so that the younger students didn't hear them arguing about such a stupid thing. This was def getting old.

Narcissa swung her broom around near Lance, Jack was still holding on tight, "whats wrong Lance" she asked

James heard Lance, and knew what he was thinking. But it wasn't like that. Honestly. He only wanted to know why they should have any trouble, and what Lance expected to meet in Hogsmead. James had just been genuinly curius, as he wasn't the brightest wizard, whereas Lance was. But Lance had taken it the wrong way, and started an argument. Well, tried to, but James wasn't going to bite the bait.

Closing his eyes and re-opening them in esasperation, James sighed. "Ok, then! I was only curious!" No need to bite my head off.... James rolled his eyes before speaking again. "You go on ahead, scout around, and then come back, or send a message. Just don't get hurt!"

Jennette had been thinking and not paying attention to what they were talking about. She looked up and said, Whats going on?

Leigh frowned slightly as she listened to Lance. Surely there was no need for precautions like that...or maybe there was. Either way, she didn't like the idea of Lance going on ahead of them alone.

"Are you sure you want to go alone?" she asked, a worried expression on her face as she looked at Lance.

Lance was suddenly realizing that he obviously was used to doing things on his own...thanks to his parents never being around and him being an only child and such. He looked at the other students who had ventured out with them and was even more confident that this was a good decision. He looked at Leigh and with an almost defeated look, "Yes, I think that might be the best decision. I'll fly ahead a little ways and then motion for ya'll if it's clear. I just dont' want all of us getting hurt IF something happens, which I don't think will but you never know." yea that had made sense to him he said trying to reconvince himself that this was the right choice.

He shot ahead a few feet with his wand at the ready and his head looking everywhere. he looked like he was watching a tennis match as much as he head flicked from side to side taking in all of the sights. Every fifty yards or so, he would motion back to the group of students to come forward. AS he went he grew more excited to be getting closer to Hogsmeade, but he was a little more worried that they hadn't seen a soul on the path or even moving around the outskirts of the little town.

Jack felt the broom going forward slowly and gripped his eyes shut once more clinging onto Narcissa tightly, his wand still drawn. They wernt going to die, were they? This wasnt fun. Not fun at all.

Leigh nodded silently to Lance as he took off. She tightened one arm around James, holding her wand ready in the other. Her heart was pounding against her ribcage, and as she took a dep breath, it was shakey. But everything would be okay. She had to keep telling herself that.

Lance flew as close to the ground as he could while still insuring the others could see him. Every few yards he would motion for them to come up a little closer. As they neared Hogsmeade, he flew over the first house's rooftop and landed on the top. He motioned the others to follow.

He dismounted his broom and climbed up the the apex of the roof looking over at the town and waited for everyone else to land.

"I don't see any movement...do you?" he asked to no one in particular.
