Clarissa offered a small smile to him. "Well, that usually happens when I feel dizzy... but that's subsiding," she assured him. He continued to apologize, and a faint blush began to appear on her cheeks. "Look, there's nothing to apologize for... in fact, I should be thanking you, that hair was making my skin crawl," she told him, but without looking directly at him. There was an electricity in the air, and it was making every part of her skin tingle. She felt like something was about to happen, but wasn't, like a lightning storm that hasn't made itself know yet. "There's just a lot on my mind now, is all," she told him truthfully, looking up into his eyes. She was shocked by what she saw there, a need for something- but what she couldn't be sure.

Peter blushed and nodded. "don't worry. You weren't the umm, the only one that felt that. I got goosebumps too I think." He laughed softly. Looking down at the ground for a moment, he finally brought his gaze back to her eyes. "Anything I can help you with?" He said softly bringing one hand up to her face and gently brushing away a stray hair.

Clarissa rubbed her arms with her hands, feeling the tiny bumps beginning to fade. "Well, whatever it was, I think its fading..." she said with a trembling smile. She looked out over the land and saw that everyone else was getting farther away. "We should go," she told him, looking down slightly. She looked up again and their eyes met, resulting in a a warm feeling spreading throughout her body. As Peter brushed another hair away from her eyes, his cool fingers tracing along her face left the area still tingling slightly. "Well, its nothing really... this is just a lot to take in," she said, taking a step forward.

Peter nodded nervously. "Right yea....fading." It may have been fading for her, but for him it was only growing stronger. He watched her rub her arms and looked away from her, but of course was unable to keep his gaze off of her. His eyes were drawn back to her and he saw that she was also looking at him. "Yea....yes. It is definitely a lot to take in...." He said softly, and as she took a step, he took her hand to keep her from walking more. "Clarissa?"

Clarissa nodded in agreement as she took another step. Things around here were spectacular, she felt like Dorothy going into the Emerald City without the glasses to keep down the glare. Suddenly, she felt a slight tug on her hand and looked back to see Peter holding her hand. "Yes?" she asked, slight heat coming to her cheeks.

Peter was going to say something, but his heart completely took over and instead he gently put his hands on her warm cheeks and leaned in, this time kissing her. His lips tenderly met hers and he closed his eyes, the whole world completely melting away. After the moment had laste long enough to be remembered perfectly, he broke away from her, blushing bright red from embarassment, and without another word he gave her a small smile before walking ahead, having an inner struggle with himself over what he had just done.

Clarissa responded automatically, without even thinking about what she was doing. His cool hands on her warm cheeks caused tingles to run from her head all the way to her toes. His lips met hers and she closed her eyes, moving in sync with him, with no thought involved. It felt natural, and automatic, like nothing else mattered. The troubles of being a witch and a salem-like world faded. After what felt like seconds and an eternity at the same time, Peter separated from her. She stood there, completely in a state of shock, unable to move. Finally she took a shaggy breath, bringing life back into her system.

Reepicheep ran back up the tunnel and into the bright sunlight of the day. Looking over the field, he saw that Peter and Clarissa were both still outside. "Your majesty! My lady... come, the creatures are anxious to meet all of you," he said, with a nod.

Reepicheep's voice startled Clarissa forward. She began to walk, blinking furiously to try and clear her head. This is much worse that just the hair... she thought, bringing her hand up and tucking hair back behind her ear. "Coming..." she said, wincing slightly as her voice cracked.

Peter looked up as Reepicheep ran after them. "Right. coming..." He mumbled, wanting to turn around and apologize, but realized he wasn't sorry for what he had done and wasn't going to apologize. So he didn't. Mindlessly he walked in followed by Clarissa, and was welcomed by a loud cheer from the Narnians. Giving them a wave, he looked around at them. "Miraz terrorizing teh Narnians will soon come to an end." He said authoritatively, but he still couldn't shake how perfect the kiss had been.

Clarissa followed behind Peter, not too close, although distance was the last thing on her mind. Half of her wanted to run toward him and demand another kiss... while the other, more rational half, reasoned that she should wait, settle things first, and maybe inquire later. She sided with the rational half just as she reached the crowd. Happy that Peter was distracted with the group of animals welcoming him, she slipped over to where KAt was. "Oh my..." she said, putting her head on her friend's shoulder. "Do we have a problem," she breathed.

Kat was a little startled when she felt someone's head on her shoulder, and was even more surprised to see that it was Riss. "Problem? what problem?" She whispered so as not to draw attention. "What happened? They...they don't know we're...you didn't tell him did you?"

"NO!" she hissed, glancing around, and glad that none of the other creatures had noticed- they were all too intent on the ancient royals. "But that problem is the problem... and..." she glanced over at Peter. "He- he- kissed me," she whispered, the reddness beginning to blossom on her cheeks once more.

"well first of all...I think the question you should ask yourself is, did you kiss him back? If so, then, well, you're in love. And he loves you, I can see that just from watching. And if you haven't noticed, he sounds a little shaky. So most likely, he is killing himself for kissing you when he knows he probably shouldn't have. But love is a fickle thing." Kat glanced over at Caspian and sighed then looked back at Riss. "there's no going back for us now. Those two have us completely smitten. Even if we....leave...we cant ignore our hearts." Kat gave her friend a warm smile. "wow...I've been hanging around you too long. That's something that you would say to me."

Ooc: Okay, I'm going to take Edmund... anyone want Susan?

Clarissa looked down, not sure how to respond, or wondering if she was too embarrassed to. She had kissed him back, she knew that now. She glanced up and saw Peter waving to the crowd, but she did notice his hand shaking slightly. She bit her lip and put her head on her friend's shoulder once more. "Now he probably thinks I don't feel anything, or hate him..." she said, squeezing her eyes tight. "I mean, I may have kissed him back, but I didn't say anything, or do anything, or..." she groaned, frustrated, causing a few creatures around them to look back. She looked up at Kat when her friend continued. "You're right... they've got us ensnared within this situation," she said, looking over at Peter. She laughed softly as Kat continued. "Well, at least something is rubbing off on you... it could be worse," she said, grinning. "I just hope that some of your smarts will rub off on me!" she joked, some color coming back to her cheeks.

Edmund grinned as he looked around at all of the Narnians surrounding them. This is where they belonged. Edmund knew how hard it had been for all of them, and he had also been missing Narnia. Now, everything felt right. He looked over at Peter and noticed a slight shakiness about his brother. "Everything alright?" he asked out of the corner of his mouth as the Narnians began to gather around them.

ooc: and by anyone u mean.....me? lol sure I'll take her lol

Kat smiled. "Don't worry Riss. I'm sure he doesn't think you don't care about him. At least I don't think that he would think that." She rubbed her back comfortingly and looked around at the Narnians. "Just let him work it out in his head first. He has to process it too you know. Looks as though Edmund is helping with that." She said glancing over to where Peter stood and saw that Edmund was now standing next to him.

"No." Peter said bluntly then faked another smile as the Narnians all gathered, talking amongst themselves. While they did that h looked back at Edmund and spoke softly. "I have just made probably the worst mistake of my life. And the thing of it is...I don't regret it at all. I'm glad I did it...."

Susan had been silently watching Caspian and Kat rolling her eyes. The moment she saw Caspian, for the first time she actually felt attracted. Maybe because he was a prince, she was a queen of Narnia. She never did think that the English boys were quite good enough. But no, he had to go and show interest in the little scaredy-cat.

Ooc: Not necessarily... but I like what you've done with her already!! Do I sense even more drama on the horizon??

Clarissa straightened and looked around the Narnians, her glanced lingering on Peter for a moment longer. She sighed and looked over at her friend. "You're right... like usual!" she said, shaking her head. "At least he only has that to figure out in his mind, there's a lot more going on in mine," she said with a slight groan.

Edmund gave him brother a strange look. "Wait, I'm confused... exactly what have you done?" he asked, smiling and nodding at any of the creatures that looked over.

Kat giggled softly. "Yes...well one thing at a time. Right now, I think we should probably focus on the Narnians. Our....well I mean us being...yea...that's not so important right now."

"I kissed her Ed. I just, she was walking away, I took her hand, and I kissed her. Then I walked away. She kissed me back but, I mean she didn't say a word, she just looked surprised..." Sighing, he waved to one of the centaurs then looked back at Edmund. "What do you know about it? You're just my little annoying brother..."

Ooc: Totally!

Clarissa sighed. "When you're right, you're right... brains and bravery, that's us," she said with a slight smile. "Let's hope its not... although we may want to hide our..." she glanced around and then extended an index finger, making wand-like motions quickly before anyone noticed. "At least on our person... you never know when it might come in handy here," she said with a sigh.

Edmund listened and then grinned. "And proud of it," he said, slapping his brother hard on the back. "But what would you do without me?" he said with a grin. "Come on man, if she kissed back, that has to mean something... and its not like they're going anywhere. Just give yourself some time, and her... you'll get it sorted!" he assured.

ooc: I'm so, so sorry I haven't been here in ages guys *poke's self* But I'm back now and I promise I'll stay active

Caspian listened to Peter speak and looked around the room his glance eventually falling on Kat who looked so pretty, and quite happy talking to her friend.

Jane went over to Riss and Kat "hey guys, what happened?" she asked them it looked like Clarissa was a bit shocked by something.

Clarissa bit her lip, her heart thudding as she thought about Peter's kiss once again. "Peter kissed me," she said quietly, trying to keep the sigh out of her voice. "And I kissed him back, and I wanted to but I don't know if I should have, and he's not even looking at me and..." she stopped, knowing she was rambling, and not wanting to attract the attention of the creatures around them, much less Peter. "Yeah... that's what happened," she said with a sheepish smile.

Jane smiled back at Clarissa comfortingly "it will be okay, I know it will" she said although she was slightly surprised then she looked at Kat "you and Caspian seemed pretty cosy before" she said.

Ooc: OMG! You got sorted! Congrats! Although, now you and I are rivals! Lol

Clarissa sighed. "I hope so..." she said, her eyes lingering on Peter once more before returning to her friends. She looked over at Kat, suddenly eager for the spotlight to be taken from her, although that was an unnatural feeling. She also was curious to see how her friend was doing with her newfound infatuation as well. "Come on, details," she said, lowering her voice to not attract attention.

Kat shrugged smiling sheepishly. "Yea....he's a great guy. He will make an amazing king..." She said dreamily then looked at Riss. "Yea, Jane's right. It's all going to work out. BUt I agree we should definitely....keep them on our person...just in case. You never know what might happen around here."

Peter nodded. "you're right Ed. I just....oh nevermind...." A few Narnians walked up to them and greeted them at that moment so Peter was temporarily distracted....for now.

Susan saw that Caspian was once again looking at that girl, so she decided to take matters into her own hands. Casually, she walked up to Caspian looking at all the Narnians. "So what's your story?"

ooc: thanks Claire We don't have to be rivals you know, I'm a nice Slytherin... really didn't expect to be Slytherin actually.

Jane nodded in agreement to Kat and looked at her "Caspian was looking at you" she said smiling at her and she gave her a wink.

Caspian looked around at Susan in surprise, he had not noticed her walk up to him "it's a long story" he said, and he didn't feel in the mood to go into it at the moment.

Ooc: I know, I'm just kidding! I'm not into the whole rivalry thing... at least between Slytherins and Gryffindors...

Clarissa tried to hide an entertained smile behind her hand, but her crinkled eyes gave it away. She nodded in agreement at Kat's next statement. "I totally agree... so, Jane," she looked around and then lowered her voice. "Keep your wand on your person, but out of sight... we'll let McKenna know later," she said, wondering where the other girl had gotten to.

Edmund nodded, storing in the back of his mind to bother Peter about details later. Afterall, that's what brothers did for each other. Edmund nodded and shook paws and hands with many of the creatures, loving how they just seemed to fall back into their roles as royalty. However, the coming battle would prove whether they actually had or not.

"Well I should probably talk to the Narnians" Caspian said to Susan getting up from where he was sitting.

Jane listened to Riss "yeah, your right, that is a good idea" she said nodding she could feel her wand in her pocket.
