Jane looked around when they reached the mall and shook her head. 'I don't think so. Not unless I came when I was a kid, in which case I wouldn't remember because I wasn't really intrested in much then.' she replied, looking at the various stores. 'So what is the purpose of you coming here normally, other than,' she looked around and dropped her voice. 'To torture the Muggles every now and then?'

Ryan looked around, and saw a group of girls about his age.
"I dunno, you guess," he said, smirking and looking back at her. He looked at what Jane was wearing, and shook his head. "No, you need new clothes, my dear, why dont you go shopping? Every girl likes to shop..." he said, grinning. "Hot pink converses would compliment your eyes," he said, trying his hardest to laught hysterically.

'Okay. Ryan, I think you've officially lost it. Since when were you an expert on clothes?' Jane asked him, though she did look down at her clothes. 'And I admit, I do need to shop, but so much has been going on recently I don't really get much chance at the moment.'

She looked away for a moment and then back, half laughing. 'But I'm not like other girls. I don't really like clothes shopping. I suck at staying in a shop for more than five minutes. Trust me.'

Ryans jaw dropped.
"Really? Cause...i love shopping. NO, just kidding. Only for like shoes and stuff. Converses, mostly," he said, laughing. "Well, do you wanna go shopping or not? Because seriously i really dont care. Look, theres Hot Topic," he pointed at a store across from them. "Good store. Though, their clothes really arent your type. But thats alright," he muttered with a small grin.

Jane looked at Ryan curiously. 'Okay. What is up with you today?' she asked him. 'Since when did you like shopping and not care if you went "girly" shopping, as it would be for me, even if I'm not that girly?' Jane asked him, taking a step back and crossing her arms so she could look at him properly. 'What are you up to?'

Ryan tilted his head to the side, his grin gone and replaced by a confused look.
"Im not up to anything, Jane. Im just absolutely crazy, jeeze. And im used to shopping around and holding bags and stuff. Rachel used to that all the time," he explained. He actually wondered why he was hanging out with Jane. Then, he realized the answer. Though he would never share it with Jane. He missed his sister terribly, and it had been way too long since he had girl-companions.

'You can say you're crazy a thousand times and I won't forget it. I think you seriously must have something wrong in your head.' Jane commented, one eyebrow raised. 'And if you're used to lugging bags around, are you sure you want to go shopping with me? I'll have ... what was it last time I went clothes shopping?' she asked herself, thinking. 'Oh, yeah. Three bags. I went shopping for the day and came back with three bags, so if you want to lug bags around, you won't get much chance.'

She laughed at her own weirdness.

Ryan laughed.
"Ok, i am offering you basically a shopping spree and you arent accepting? I know I'M crazy, but so are you! Fine, we wont go shopping, we'll just eat if thats alright with you," he said, and glanced around the mall again. The food court was all the way on the other side of the mall, so they would have to walk a distance.

Jane nodded. 'I know I'm crazy for not accepting, but I don't care.' she chuckled. 'And eating's absoloutely fine by me.' she replied, hitching her bag up her shoulder again as it began to slide down. 'So. Where's the food court?'

Ryan nodded in the opposite direction.
"On the other end of the mall. C'mon, this way," he muttered, and started to walk to the food court. As they were walking, some little kid accidentally walked into Ryan. The kid fell, and Ryan glared at the kid. He glanced at Jane, and then back at the kid, and simply stepped over him. "Stupid kids," he muttered, extremely annoyed.

Jane looked at the kid on the floor then back at Ryan, giving him a warning glance before kneeling down next to the kid. 'Hey, sweetheart, are you okay?' she asked him, helping him up. 'My friend here doesn't exactly like kids, so sorry.' she whispered to him, before he started heading off again.

'You know, if you're nice, Ryan, people might actually be nice to you. Would it kill ya to help a kid who fell over - because of you, might I add?' she said, looking at the boy's retreating back instead of Ryan. 'So come on then, let's go to the food court instead.' she said, turning around, not looking at Ryan, heading off in the direction Ryan had nodded at a fast pace.

Ryan rolled his eyes.
"Nice? Me? No...im only nice to people i actually like. And i dont like kids. And i dont care if its my fault she have been looking where he was going!" he said, still greatly annoyed. She was now ahead of him, so he followed behind her. He found a small, empty table, and dropped his bag on a chair.
"What do you want to eat? You can sit and ill go get it...i dont mind," he said, and glanced around the food court. It was packed, and all those muggles sort of drove him insane, but he didnt show. He turned back to Jane.

Jane threw her bag onto one of the chairs as Ryan had done and sat down in one next to it. 'Ryan. To get people to like you so you like them more, you've got to be nice to other people, whether they be kids or adults. If you don't like kids, you don't like all your adult friends, because we were once kids, remember?' she asked him, hoping that made sense. She ignored his other comment.

"Whatever, Jane. I am different than you. I hope you know that. Not everyone has to like the things you like, Jane," he said, his eyes narrowed, and him mouth in a frown. He hated when Jane acted like this. he wasnt ever going to change, so why bother lecturing him?

Fiddling in it, she made sure her wand was out of sight, as it had been banging against her near the top as they'd been walking. 'Now. Can we please change the topic? I hate lecturing you.'

"I hate it when you lecture me also," he muttered, and dug in his bag for the muggle money he did have. He waved the money in the air. "You have any of this money?" he asked, laying it on the table, and digging in his bag again. He took his wand from his pocket, and quickly slipped it in his bag.

Jane shrugged and reached for her bag again, digging through it until she found her purse. Pulling her arm from her bag, oen of the books she'd got in there hit her and she winced. When she put her purse on the table, she rubbed her arm gently before tipping the money she'd got out, but making sure no one could see.

She had several galleons, sickles and knuts, but no Muggle coins. She sighed, swept them back into her purse and opened up the note section. Pulling out three notes she'd got, she muttered a silent prayer to her brother. 'Got twenty here.' she said, placing it on the table in front of Ryan, rubbing her arm again as she put everything down.

Ryan tried hard not smirk as she hit her arm, and decided to be polite for once.
"You alright? Oh, um, yea. Twenty?!?! I dont even have that much!" he exclaimed, his eyes wide. He picked up her money. "How in the world did you get your hands on muggle money?" he asked, looking at the money with shock.

Jane nodded. 'I'll be fine.' she said, meaning her arm. 'It'll just be a bruise. Stupid book.' she muttered, more to herself than Ryan. 'Wha - oh. That'd be my brother when he borrowed my purse a couple of years ago. I only found it recently, shoved in the airing cupboard with a couple of towels.' she said, pursing her lips together. 'And don't worry. The notes aren't that old. Two years, roughly.'

Ryan nodded, still looking at them. He finally looked up at Jane. "Ill just go get us something...you stay here..." he muttered, and stood up. He made his way through the crowd to the line for the food. After about thirty minutes, and looking very grumpy, he plopped down in his chair, and pushed Janes food towards her.
"Here. It took forever...muggle service isnt very good," he said softly, and took a bite from his sandwitch and a sip of drink. "Not good at all," he muttered again.

'I can tell.' she said, slipping her book back into her bag and pulling her sandwich closer. 'So why do you like it, if it's so slow?' she asked, picking up her sandwich and taking a small bite.
