"Oh, that's neat. Which house do you want to be in? I don't think I really know the difference. Is there a good or bad house?" she asked. She was really curious about this sort of thing. After all, it could affect her future.

"I want to be in Gryffindor," Neville said. He was afraid his Gran would be mad if he didn't get into his parent's house. Neville shrugged. "Some people say Slytherin is bad, because a lot of evil wizards have come from that house. Otherwise, the houses are just different."

Katherine was still trying to remember all their names, now the compartment seemed quite full, in contrast to how it was before, she was pleased to see that there were others like her, muggle-borns as they call it.

She was a little bit shocked to find out that Neville didn't know what airplanes were, but then, she didn't know they use broomsticks to fly on, "That's odd" she thought.

"You all speak great of Gryffindor, I wish I get sorted into that one then" she said, her mind was running faster than usual when finding things related to the other world, as she call it.

"Does anyone knows how much longer it'll take to get Hogwarts? I can't wait to be there!" she continued, rather excited.

"Ooh! Well, Ravenclaw does sound neat, but I don't think that I'm that smart. Gryffindor sounds good, then. Brave-hearted- I've always imagined myself as brave. I do like a good dare. Well, that's it, then! Gryffindor it is. Do we just choose, or is there some test?" Teagan asked. She was starting to get a little nervous. What if they had to do something magical? All the others were alright; they had always known about magic. 'No, I must be brave. I have to get in to Gryffindor, after all.' she thought. That made her feel loads better.

Finally spotting the food trolley, Harry said, "Oh, there you are." He picked out his favorite foods, and bought several packages of them. He turned to his friend and waited for him to buy his food. "So, are we ready to go then? Dad told me what to look for to see if we were nearly there yet, and I think I see some of the landmarks he talked about."

"Oh, I don't know" Katherine replied to Teagan's question, after all, she found out about magic during this summer, "I hope not, I have not practice anything" she said, just the thought of perfoming some magic the very first day didn't sound so great to her, because she didn'tknow much.

Katherine's face turned to Hermione, "Yes, I'm muggle-born, at least to the wizarding world" she said with a smile, somehow she found that special since now she had a whole different life, one she never pictured herself in, "Don't you find funny and odd to fly on broomsticks?"

"Well, I hope we all make it. That would be cool! Maybe we just have to take a personality test or something. That would be easy. Just put down that you're really, really brave and that you love danger, and you should get in!" Tea said. She hoped it was true.

As Harry hurried back to the compartment, he was glad to see that the Malfoy boy had left. He heard the last of their conversation, and figured they were talking about the sorting. "Well, my dad said they call it The Sorting, but he wouldn't say anything else." Harry explained, as he looked out the window. "I think we're getting close!"

Kat eyes suddenly seem brighter, after looking through the window her whole face turned lighter, they were now closer than ever, "Finally!" she said, she thought she was dreaming now.

"The sorting? Wow, sounds kind of spooky" she replied to Harry's comments, it did sound a little scary, but soon they'll all find out what it was about.

After listening to what Liam had just said, Kat wanted the time to go faster, she couldn't wait to know in which House she'll be in, in which House she belonged to, just like Liam had just said.

"Spinach?" she asked, all she could see were some jelly beans in the boy's hand, "The jelly beans come in that flavor?" she continued, she couldn't help but think how odd it was to put such a flavor in a candy.

"So if we want to be in Gryffindor, doesn't that mean we will be? I'll miss you guys if I'm not." Tea said. She watched as the train started to slow. "Oh, we'd better get dressed!" she exclaimed as she began to gather her things. She left the compartment to go get changed, and once she returned, she began to pack everything up. It didn't take long, because she hadn't gotten anything out. The trip had gone by very quickly, after all.

"Oh, good idea!" Harry agreed, and dug out his new school robes. They had to be there somewhere... ah! There they were. He left to get changed and came back quickly. They were almost there! He couldn't wait; this was, after all, a very important part of his life. He had to get sorted into Gryffindor, or else he didn't know what he'd do. Maybe he could transfer to Beauxbatons or something. But that wasn't very likely, and he knew it.

Kat heard what Tea just said about getting ready, all her stuff were in order, she just needed to change, so she got out the compartment and went to do so.

She came back already in her school robes, this was sure a day she'll remember forever, "This is it" she thought, now everything she had been waiting for was soon to begin.

"Everyone ready?" she asked, not waiting for an answer, it seemed that the question was only referring to her as for the others in the compartment.

Kat accepted Liam's offer and grab some beans, "Oh, I didn't know that they could make that flavor, the ones I've had are quite normal" she said, amazed at the fact that those had "every flavor" and wondered which were the ones she picked.

Ron, who had not piped up much, smirked at Kat.

"Well, my brother, Fred, swore to me once he had a bogey flavoured one, didn't really believe him, but I still steer well clear of green ones..." he said, smiling.

"Yeah, I remember that one, you showed it to me. It looked disgusting! I couldn't believe you actually ate it. I like the coffee flavored ones myself, and the treacle tart ones. Those are good!" Harry said. He realized, now that they were here, that he was a little bit nervous. He shook it off and pretended that it was excitement.

Teagan, on the other hand, was excited. She couldn't help it, so she jumped up and down a couple of times to let her energy out. That didn't do much, though, because she still had energy left. Everyone else was talking about flavors or something, she didn't really know, but all she could think about was The Sorting. She felt like she was about to explode with excitement or something.
