Katherine was very nervous, this was for sure the day she had been waiting for a while now, after saying good-bye to her family and getting to the train she knew things would never be the same again.

Katherine couldn't find a compartment on the train, then she noticed a girl with the lightest shade of hair color she'd ever seen, that girl was talking to a boy.."Oh, come on Katherine! This is no time to be shy..and there are no more compartments empty" she said to herself, and then "Hi!, my name is Katherine, do you mind if I stay with you?" she asked the girl with the lightest shade of hair color..

"Wow, Luna? That's a cool name!" she said, and noticed the girl's earings, "Well, my summer was quite alright, until I went to get my things for Hogwarts, that was the highlight of the summer" she continued, she still remembered the way she felt when going into the magical world, that's something no one could forget, at least not her.

"And how was your summer Luna?" she asked, perhaps someone had a better summer than the one she did.."Isn't this exciting!" she said "I mean, coming to Hogwarts...I'm the first one in my family to go there", after saying this she started to feel nervous again, there was no one to tell her what to expect..

Ron had managed to break away from his mother's grip and make off towards the train. He knew no one, so he had no idea where to sit.

He wandered up and down the corridors, looking quite lost. Finally, he saw an emptyish compartment with three people in it.

"Anyone mind if I come in?"

Ron grinned.

"Thanks," he said, sitting down. "I'm Ron Weasley, by the way. And my dad's quite interested in muggles too, he's always taking their stuff apart and doing other stuff to it...it does get a bit mad sometimes."

"Nice to know that not everyone likes muggles" she said in a lower tone...then, she remembered the other word she wasn't used to "Nargles", "Those things aren't so nice after all, if she suspects those were behind her lack of catching the fishes" she thought, and her mind wandered about what a nargle would be, it sounded like something you should be very carefull about, "Umm, Luna? You said nargles, what are nargles?" she asked her, and looked at her waiting for the answer.

Her eyes slightly turned to see a red-haired boy sit in the others empty seats, he sure looked he had already gone looking for seats in the train, after all, there were all almost taken. He spoke.

"Hi Ron, I'm Katherine, nice to meet someone else that does likes people like me" she said, with a smile, "Although I'm not very informed of why others call me that" she continued "I mean, I know that it's because no one in my family is involved in magic, but it sounds like a weird word to me".

"Oh, so they are not very nice creatures" she thought, if they were creatures.."Oh, ok" she nodded Luna.

Now that the nargles thing was out, the new boy had Katherine's attention, and while listening to Luna she thought that the boy's family might be quite popular, since he was linked instantly by the surname Luna has just said, "Maybe they all look a like" she thought, and her mind instantly pictured a red-haired family.

Ginny was standing next to her mother as she watched her older brothers climb onto the train, she was trying hard not to let the tears fall from her eyes. Inside she desperately wanted to go and tried hard not to think about how lonley the coming year would be without one of her brothers to play with.

"Yes, I am a Weasley. And you would be?" he asked, wanting to at least find out who she was. He was going to try his hardest to at least make friends.

"Yeah, it wasn't bad...Lovegood...that sounds familiar."

He wracked his brains, and finally came to a decision.

"Is your father Xenophilius Lovegood, the guy who does the Quibbler?" he asked.

Katherine stood there, listening to both Ron and Luna while thinking that in the wizarding world families are quite known, she was amazed at that thought "It's like almost everyone knew everybody" she said to herself.

Yet, another interesting word suddenly was spoke: Quibbler.

"What's the Quibbler?" she asked, she loved to find out stuff and to learn new things, especially if those were common within wizards, because now she was one person in that unknown world.

"It's a wizarding magazine".

A mad wizarding magazine, but he wasn't about to say that, it would offend.

"So you're father writes it, all on his own?"

"I'm from a line of Gryffindors, so my family will kill me if I don't end up one. Knowing my luck, I'll end up in Slytherin," he said, glumly.

"hmm, so her father is the editor in a magazine, how awesome" she thought, then she heard Luna's question "Houses? Oh, right" she'd been reading about it.

"Well, I'm not sure in which I'll get, the only I think I wouldn't like is the Slytherin one, I did not hear well of that one" she remembered what she'd heard back at Diagon Alley about some people who were in Slytherin and were not nice.."I can't wait to know in which I'll get sorted into, I just hope that maybe I'll be with either one you" they were the only ones she'd met so far.

Then a girl entered the compartment, Katherine responded, "Yes, of course you can" and then made room for her..
