As soon as he heard this prophecy, one of Voldemort's followers reported to his master. Voldemort went over to the Potters' house, killing James and Lily and trying to kill Harry. But there was no way of knowing if the prophecy applied to Harry or Neville Longbottom.

What if Voldemort went after Neville instead of Harry? What if Harry had been a normal child, growing up with his parents in a wizarding community? What if Neville had been the one that was orphaned, and was raised by his grandmother as a famous wizard? How would Harry and Neville be different? How would the events that happened during Harry's first year at Hogwarts change? This is all up to you.

"Bye, Gran," Neville muttered as he struggled to get out of his grandmother's tight embrace. Finally breaking free, he boarded the train and walked all the way to the back top find an empty compartment. Neville made sure to keep his head down, so no one would recognize him. He didn't like all the attention.
