"Hey Ry." Dani greeted him in turn as he walked past her, saying nothing. Her voice raised and lowered it's self on those two syllables like a song. Course, she hardly knew him...but they'd been on the same ship together for ages now! She felt no need to be so...anti-social as they had been with one another.

Sintra give the merchant her dues took the earrings and said, "Let's go. Let's not make," puffing out her chest and saluted, "Captain Davie." She began to giggle again. "Come on."

Artemis bit the bottom of her lip trying not to smile. "Yeah lets go and not make Captain angry although I'm sure he's in his head once again"

Hermione waved her hand and snapped her fingers once. "Uh Captain?" she asked

Dani watched from her perch on the steps as the frizzy haired girl snapped her fingers in the captain's face. Part of her knew she'd be amused if he bit her hand off for that...another part, the more dominant one, was worried for her. Dani stood up, and moved across the deck of the ship with a slight swagger to the movement.

"You need something?" She asked the girl. "I can show you where you'll be staying if you need." Danielle told her, while looking the girl over, trying to decide if she was going to be a hindrance to their working.

Sintra smiled. "Yeah, I mean with those Hogwarts brats everywhere, he might not even notice we have disappeared. Though we will have gone no where because we are good people," she added hastily.

Artemis nodded. "very true" she said. She took a small breath. "any thing else you need?" she asked

Hermione turned and looked at the girl. "Uh yes please" she said nicely. "I wasn't trying to be rude but your captain seemed to go into some kind of daze"

"Well even so, being polite would probably be a good idea with the Captain." She told the girl. "Your cot will be in a room with Sintra and I. Artemis is the first mate, she has her own room. The men all share a room as well, except for the Captain of course." She explained as she moved across the deck slowly, waiting for the girl to catch up.

"I'm Danielle Stewart by the way. You can call me Dani." She finished. This girl can't be any older than me...she noted silently, deciding that this girl needed to be broken in.

Hermione smiled and glanced back at Ron and Harry. She shrugged they could duke it out with the Captain. "Hermione Granger" she said slowly. "So Dani do you like being a Pirate?" she asked slowly. SHe was curious.

Artemis shrugged. "Not alot I know its a magical school. There are four groups I can only think of Slythies since thats the one my younger brother was sorted into. Its hidden somewhere in England I think" she said slowly. "Thats all I know of"

Sintra giggled. "It's Slytherin. There is also Gryffindor, Huffelpuff, and Ravenclaw. Slytherins are where trouble~makers go; Gryffindor are for the brave; Huffelpuff is for the compasionate; and Ravenclaw are the brains." Sintra stopped beacuse she didn't want to seem like a too much of a know~it~all.

Ron stood aghast as Hermione walked off. This whole thing was ridiculous enough without the only person who knew what was going on leaving him, Harry, and of all people, Malfoy, alone.
"Um, excuse me," Ron said to the captain hesitantly, stepping forward.

Snitra stiffled her laughter. She was pretty sure who he was. He's probably one of the pure~bloods. What were their names--Oh, right Malfoy, she thought.
"I think the one with black hair is passable, ginger as well. I've never had much for blonds," she shrugged.

"I-" Dani looked over at this Hermione girl, then turned forwards and shrugged. "It's a job. Spending so much time with the crew gives you a sense of family. It's been my job since I was fourteen, they've been my family as long." She responded, as they started down the stairs to the lower regions of the ship. "It can get a bit lonely...tiresome. But that's life." She rambled, then turned off into a door to her left.

"This is our room. There are some spare bed rolls over in that corner there." Danielle explained, pointing her in the right direction. "If you need anything I'll be up on deck. When your settled in I can introduce you to some of the crew." She explained, then turned to head back up top. With one hand on the door frame, she turned around.

"A word of advice to ye...I'd suggest giving Captain Ouellette a bit more respect than you did up there. He can have a bit of a temper. When your on his ship, his word is law. You come from a much different place than your in now. If he wanted to have you flogged, that's his business, and no one can save you from it." Danielle told her, not looking directly at her. With no explination, she headed up to the deck.

Hermione nodded as she listened to Dani. It seemed as though if Dani could chose she would chose to be somewhere else. She looked around the room It was definatly smaller than the one that she shared with 4 other girls at Hogwarts. "Your right. He's captain I shouldn't have done that. Normally I dont have a temper that's Ron's job just seemed to lose if for a minute" she said before Dani turned and walked away.

Hermione shrugged and looked about the room. She grabbed a bedroll and unrolled it quickly. Laying it on the wooden floor of the room she put her bag of things on it and smiled. "I guess I better go up on deck now" she muttered. After organizing her area once more she turned and walked up onto deck looking around for Dani the only person she knew.
