He grinned and laughed himself. "No, I suppose you can't." He walked over to get a better glimpse of what she really was reading. "Anything good?" He perked his eyebrow again with a meaning curiousity.

Louisa snapped the book shut. "Just the ramblings of a teenager. It's my journal. Sorry." She didn't want Remus to read it. It contained all of her thoughts and feelings about him and for him to read it would be the worse thing.

"Are you reading anything interesting at the moment?" She asked, hoping to distract him away from the journal.

Sirius laughed his bark-like laughter at the sound of James' tantalizing remarks towards Snape. He pushed the door to the compartment shut as they stepped in, and plopped himself on the seat opposite to the Slytherin's.

"Of course he has, Prongs," said Sirius lazily. "What else do you think he does in his spare time? He's got no friends... unless you count those half-wits in Slytherin," he continued haughtily. "Anyway, we've come to keep you company for a while, Snivelly, whaddya say? Out of the pure goodness of our hearts..." Sirius finished, placing his right hand on his chest in a heavily dramatic gesture.

Daniel chuckled from behind. Snape was the;eastpapulor in school and his arrogance didnt made any easier for him. "You think??" Daniel said looking at James "Of course he has, nothing better to do??" Daniel said as he shifted on Sirius side.

"Oh..Oh! I- I'm sorry! Don't mean to intrude." Remus said before he realized what he was staring down at. He gave a nervous chuckle and ran his fingers through his hair, before quickly glancing away and down at his two left feet. Bugger.

"Believe me, I didn't see anything." He said truthfully. Which was true. He didn't see anything, though it sparked a hidden curiousity.

"It's okay! Don't worry about it. Just as long as you didn't see anything." Louisa stressed. She loved it when he was nervous, because he seemed so cute. She smiled to herself.

"You didn't answer my question. Are you reading anything?"

Remus blinked back to reality after realizing that he had been starring outside the window. "Huh.. o--oh. Nothing too interesting. Just a biography about John Keats." He shrugged some thinking she wouldn't be interested in a biography. Who would be?

"John Keats? The poet? I love some of his work." Louisa replied. She thought that she was the only person that had heard of his work, because he was a muggle poet. "He's a muggle though. I didn't think many people would read his poetry, let alone his biography."

Remus smiled knowingly. "Ahh.. yes. Well you see, my reading doesn't just limit to our world. I told you I sorta read a bit of everything." He dug his hands into his pockets. "I'm shocked you have heard of him. He was of the Romantic Era and born in England, you know." He winked at her going off rather knowingly, praying he wasn't being hopelessly boring to her. "Him and Poe are amounst my favorites."

"You're like a walking encyclopedia! One of my favourite quotes of Keats is 'Beauty is truth, truth beauty, - that is all Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.' Did you know that Keat's death inspired Shelley's Adonais? I'm not so keen on Poe, I haven't really read much of his work." Louisa replied, smiling at Remus' wink. "You know this is really interesting," She said quietly, "usually I'd just muse about it to myself. The others don't seem as interested in poetry and the arts, especially the muggle kind." Louisa said smiling. She was so happy that she had found something that she could relate to with Remus. Usually, it was generic conversations, as a group with the others. She was liking their time together.

Remus suddenly raised his eyebrows. He was speechless for a minute as he soaked in the information that came from the lips of a women interested in what he was. Wow.
"Ahh.. yes. Indeed I did know such a thing." He finally came to gather a muster of courage to go and sit down next to her, pulling out the biography book from his back pocket. He wasn't very interested in the doings of the other Marauders at that moment...
"I don't know..." He paused for a thought. "..most people do not care for Edgar Allen Poe because he was a very.. how could I say.. oh...well, dark and mysterious writer." Another quick pause. "His poems were of death and dark times. Such as his life was." He finished, leaning back and flipping through the pages of Keats life's story.

"Aww..and here's me trying to impress you with my knowledge." Louisa whined jokingly. She moved over slightly when Remus took his seat. She put her journal back in her bag on the floor, and started to look at the book Remus had pulled from his back pocket. "Dark times and death? Sounds interesting...I'll have to read his work. Anything in particular you suggest?" She asked curiously. She had never considered reading Poe, but if Remus suggested it, it must be good.

Remus laughed. "Now, now. You're still just as knowledgable. Believe me.. I'm sure that there are things you know that I don't." He replied, trying to make her feel better. Grinning, he paused from looking at the pages to think of a good Poem of Poe's that would interest her. "Okay, well.. there's The Cast of Amontillado..." He paused. "Hrm... there's The Masque of the Red Death.. The Pit and the Pendulum.. oh! and one of my favorites, The Tell-Tale Heart." He rambled off random poems to her. ".. Annabel Lee... oh dear." He suddenly realized that he was probably speaking way too much and became quiet and embarrassed. "I'm sorry." He said, apologizing aptly for his ramblingness.

"What are you apologising for? I told you, it's interesting, and honestly, if you didn't have me to talk to about poetry, who else would you talk to? Sirius? James?" Louisa reassured him. "You're the smartest guy I know, I'm sure you know way way way much more than me! Believe me." She said placing her hand on his arm. She quickly took it away again when she realised what she had done. Blushing, she looked out of the window. "I'll read those poems you suggested."

Remus laughed at her words. "Maybe you're right." He said, glancing out the compartment door. "Those blokes don't care a bit for poetry." A pause to think. "Oi! Though Sirius does use it occasionally to woo some of his.. oh.. how can I say.. many ladies?" Chuckling, he went to continue before feeling the warmth of her hand on his arm. Then suddenly the warmth was gone. He too blushed and looked down at his knees.

Clearing his throat he looked back up at her. "I hope you do read some. I bet you would like it." He spoke softly, and noticed that she too had turned away. Right then, he was hoping she could not see that his face was the colour of their school uniforms.

Sloane playfully rolled her eyes at Sirius and failed miserably to hide the smile on her face. Entering the compartment Sloane went ahead and sat opposite of where Snape was sitting.

The mere sound of Sirius’ laugh made Sloane want to giggle, but she managed to hold it in. She didn’t want to come off as some pathetic fan girl that laughed at everything he did. She didn’t even like Sirius like that…or at least that’s what she kept telling herself.

Giving Snape a smile and an airy wave she made herself comfortable in her seat. Sloane had a feeling this would take awhile. “Hiya there Severus. Hope you don’t mind us coming to say hi.” She knew very well that their visit was nothing but a hindrance, but then life wasn’t always perfect; and in Snapes case nothing was ever perfect.

Severus`s head shot up as the group walked in. His muscles were taut like a drawn bow. He had his hand on his wand at his side. Snape was ready for whatever they had planned for them. He had spent a good amount of the summer vacation creating new spells to punish the marauders. He sneered at them angrily, full of loathing. Why, why, couldn`t they just leave him alone. Or bother someone else for once. But, no, it was always him. Snivellus the greasy git, they called him.
Severus ignored their taunts and tightented his grip on his wand. "I do mind you coming," he said. "Now, leave." He spoke forcefully.

Lily looked up as Remus head pked around the compartment door. She had never had a problem with Remus, he had always been polite and acted like a gentleman when manners seemed to escape the other two. She could not figure out why he bothered to be aruond them, but then of course someone had to keep them in line.

"I believe they said something about seeing Snape and that they were off to bother him, as per usual." she said dully.
As a prefect she knew it was her job to stop such things from happening, but she also knew from past experience that there was nothing she could do to stop them or persude them other wise.
"Come in and site with us!" she said smiling, glad that he seemed sensible enough to not join in their foolish acts.
She then sat back watched as he and Louisa chatted, thinking.

Remus turned to Lily with a knowing nod. "I should have guessed. All ends the same for those two." Remus shook his head, though he could not help but remember their mantra as it crossed his mind. 'I Solemly Do Swear that I Am Up to No Good.' He sighed.

Louisa giggled at Remus' remark about Sirius. She was about to turn back around when Lily started speaking. Instead, she got up and went in search of the food trolley. She wandered down the carriages, and looked in Snape's compartment. Noticing that he had his wand out, she hurried back to her seat. "Remus, you may want to get down to Sirius and James. Snape doesn't look happy, and he's got his wand." She said hurriedly, noticing a faint blush still on his cheeks.

Remus heaved a sigh. "Oh bother.." He mumbled, going to stand and leave the compartment. He didn't want to, although he knew someone had to stop Sirius and James.

He walked out and went towards the cabin in which appeared to be Severus's. The door was closed, though he could hear Sirius's voice from behind it. There were too many people around them at the time that he felt as though Sirius and James would not try anything. Then again...

Walking back to the cabin he came from, he popped back in. "They are all talk and no action. Nothing to worry about until we get to the school." But even then there was the Annual ritual of Sorting and the Welcoming. Sirius and James' tricks would have to stay up their sleeves. At least until after the beginning of the year would start..
