Severus smiled in an almost disbelieving way when Bellatrix agreed. He must have heard wrong. Except she was grinning at him, clearly happy about his question. Wow.
"Neither can I," Snape mumbled, looking down, but his smile widening. When he looked back up, he saw a most shocking thing: a sheepish-looking Bellatrix. That was new. "What do you want to do, anyways?" he asked, not really knowing what Bella normally did in her free time.
James nodded, doubting the Headmaster would appreciate it much if they went around in their costumes on any other day, and smiled.
"Well, yeah, I guess," he muttered, holding up their hands to inspect them better. "But I never thought it'd be so little. I like it, though." | |

Bellatrix looked at him thoughtfully.
"Hmm" she said. "I actually don't know, its been a while since I've done anything for fun at school, other than tonight of course." she said smirking at him. She tossed her long black hair back over her shoulder.
"What do you want to do?" she asked, eyeing him playfully.
Lily couldn't help but laugh.
"Well I'm glad, it fits perfectly." she said smiling at him, her green eyes sparkling.

Severus frowned. "But you have to do something," he argued. "I mean, what do you normally do? Read?" he continued curiously, then reminded himself that Bellatrix wasn't him, and didn't spend half her time hiding in the dark corners of the library.
Snape decided against answering her last question. It's not like he did anything, at all. Besides being cursed repeatedly by the Marauders.
James's grin widened at the sound of Lily laughing. "It does," he said with mock solemnness. He glanced up and found himself face to face with the Fat Lady, who was gazing at them expectantly. Potter muttered the password, and she swung forward to let them in. | |

SHe looked thoughtfully at him.
"Hmm....I mostly am in the Slytherin common room with my....friends...." she paused their slightly, how many of them could she really trust. "...and I don't know read, do homeowork, there isn;t a lot of spare time. How about we just go down to the lake or something, I haven't been down there in a while." she said, thinking that outdoors was not normally her scene but that she wanted to do something different.
Lily clambered in first, gently tugging James through behind her. But this wasn't the best idea because there was not that much room and James was farely tall. Just as Lily stepped through she found herself tripping slightly over James and rolling gracefully out onto the other side, hoping that James hadn't fallen through. She closed her eyes willing the embarassing moment to go away as she lay there on the Gryffindor carpet. THis was so not like her. She was the farthest thing from clutzy. | |

Severus's eyebrows contracted as Bellatrix spoke, puzzled somewhat by the way she paused. He knew how it felt, not really having friends, which was mainly why he was shocked to hear her speak that way.
"Oh," he said mildly. "The lake sounds nice."
As long as Potter or Black aren't there.
James, even with all of his athletic reflexes, wasn't quite fast enough to catch Lily, or himself. He tumbled into the common room, narrowly missing Lily. "Ow," James stated, picking himself up off the ground, then reaching down to lend Evans a hand. "You alright, there?" he asked, grinning. | |
