Severus smiled at Lily in a way that he only did around her. It was like a secret Lily smile. He grasped her hand and squeezed it for a moment, before - reluctantly - letting it go again and saying, "Always. And you're welcome."
He raised an eyebrow at Lily, somewhat surprised at her knowledge of the dungeons. "I didn't know you knew the long way," Severus said coolly. He was pleased that she thought of taking the detour, rather than going the normal way, despite the fact that he was starving.

Finding himself again in the midst of his friends, Sirius regained his usual good-natured charisma. Swinging from one expression to the other, one tempestuous mood to the next had always been his thing. And the others all knew it. He trudged down the steps, in James and Remus' wake, looking towards Sloane as she talked.

"Ah, those..." he commented, referring to her odd-to-say-the-least dreams. "They're the best," he grinned at her, forgetting all about the incident with Ally, just a minute ago. "Here we are, at last!" Sirius welcomed the familiar sight of the Great Hall, wasting no time in settling on the Gryffindor bench, and eyeing the different types of nourishment with undisguised yearning.

Lily nodded understandingly, completely oblivious to Severus almost walking into a wall.
"Well we will just have to hang out more down by the lake, the library, the forest and dungeons I guess." she said, trying to think of places where neither of them would be hexed for hanging out with students from houses that were such bitter enemies.

Molly entered the Great Hall and spotted Ally sitting a little furthar down. She headed over and sat down next to her.
"Ally! How are you feeling? I heard what happened?" she asked concern in her voice.

Peter sat down at the table next to Remus, and quickly started piling things onto his plate, not really listening to the conversations going on around him.

“Good to know I’m not the only one that has such peculiar dreams.” Sloane was pleased she had managed to make him smile. Though any sort of facial expression suited him, she liked him best when he smiled.

Reaching the Gryffindor table the first people she noticed were Molly and Ally. Knowing that Sirius and his friends probably wouldn’t notice if she just left she decided to excuse herself regardless, “Well don’t eat all the food boys. I’m going to go see how Ally is doing.” Giving them all a friendly wave she walked over to where her friends sat.

Finding an empty seat across from her friends Sloane sat down and began to pour herself a goblet of juice. “Good morning girls.” She smiled at them both before focusing on Ally, “Glad to see you are better Ally. We were all really worried last night.” It was hard to believe that the night before she had been injured, because she looked completely healthy now; which was wonderful.

Having just indulged in a piece of toast, Sirius didn't exactly raise his eyes from the plate in front of him as Sloane left, but he did mutter some words in her direction, regardless. "Heh, good luck with that," he wished her, wondering if she was going to have her head bitten off by Ally, just as he had that particular morning.

Sirius turned towards his best mate, as he took a seat next to him, and gave him a wide grin. This felt right, this particular moment, when they were all at the Gryffindor table, everyone healthy, and... well, not everyone. He noticed James' sweeping look, and inadvertently looked for Ms. Evans, as well, but she wasn't there. Kind of odd, he thought as he drank some milk to go with the toast beforehand.

"Whatever it is, I hope it's not Potions..." Sirius offered his opinion, pondering that taking his luck into consideration, this meant that it very likely was Potions that they were going to have first.

Lily felt suddenly guilty that she had not been there to spend her summer with him, like they had for so many before it. But when Severus spoke of his parents she looked up at him sharply. She grabbed his hand with her small one and pulled him around to face her.
"Severus, don't talk like that." she said quietly, her green eyes soft once again. "I know they are awful and completely unpleasant, but they are your parents. As much as Petunia hate me and bothers me I would never wish anything bad upon her, and you musn't your family either, that's what seperated us from worse, bad people." she said, slightly concerned with Severus more recent obsession with dark arts and revenge against those who fouled him.
"And I am sorry that I wasn't ther to spend the summer with you, I rather think that it would have been more enjoyable for both of us had you not spent it alone and had I not been cooped up with Petunia." she said, giving him a small smile as they rounded the corner, the doors to the Great Hall now in view.

OOC:sorry for the double post, wered everyone go? lol, also does anyone think we should add regulus in as a character? doesnt matter to me, i wasnt sure how key of a character to the plot he'd be. lemme no.

Molly headed down to the Great Hall and sat with the others, quickly placnig some food on her plate. She looked around and noticed that a certain red head was missing.
"Where's Lily?" she asked to no one in particular.

Severus did nothing as he was spun round and found himself staring into Lily's shockingly green eyes, and holding her hand. He listened, with a bitter scowl, to every word his best friend said. Though, soon after she began talking, Severus was lost, simply staring into her eyes, as though they were the only thing in the universe. Reality came back with an unpleasant snap when he realized what Lily was saying. Had anyone else spoken to him like that(not that anyone else knew of his family situation), Snape would have cursed them and laughed. He didn't like being lectured. But this wasn't just anyone, so he simply muttered, "Fine. But mostly everyone in the school will happily inform you that I am a bad person no matter what I do."
Lily's next statement made him grin. "I wanted to spend it with you too. Especially if you had to be with Petunia," he said softly, rubbing a pale finger over Lily's soft knuckles.
Nearly groaning out loud, Snape stared at the door of the Great Hall apprehensively. "I guess this is goodbye for now," he said sadly, letting go of Lily's hand and changing his dissappointed expression to his uniform emotionless one.
