Ron looked at Sam in disbelief then his expression softened. "Should we go after her?" He asked. Then he left it that.
Jason watched as Sam left. He put his notes away and followed keeping good distance. He then stopped following her and went to the roof. He closed his eyes and stared up at the sky as he sat on the roof. It was mroe peaceful for him. That way no one can follow or they'd slip off.

Ron smiled. "Ok" He sighed. He thought about what Sam had said earlier. I'm committed to Hermione...but she doesn't seem committed to me. That can't happen. He liked Tara even before she was famous but he had to stay with hermione or risk losing her friendship as well.
Jason looked over at Sam once or twice then went back to enjoying the rain fall.

Sam became restless after a few minutes of lying still. She wanted to get up, to run around, to scream. Maybe she should jump into the lake.
That's what she would do. Sam stood up, took off her robes, and was now dressed in only her blouse and skirt. Her shoes followed. Sam climbed a high rock and faced the navy water beneath her. It was streaked with silver from the moonlight and moving constanly because of heavy rain. Sam felt excited. With a small, but loud shriek, she jumped and landed into the water with a loud splash. When she surfaced, she was laughing. Her mind was clear and relaxed. | |

Sam closed her eyes and balanced herself on top of the water to a point where she just floated on top. The raindrops felt cool on her face and they tickled her eyelids slightly. The bright moonlight shone through to her making her even more at ease. Although, Tara's and Ron's words still haunted her, but it was all a bunch of nonsense. She hadn't known Jason one day. How could she possibly like him? He was rather rude to her on the train, but he did redeem himself. Still, it was all far too confusing for Sam. She pressed her eyelids together tighter to ignore the thoughts that had suddenly invaded her head.

Jason went to stand up on the corner of the roof facing the lake. He stared at Sam for a few minutes. He almost slipped off but caught himself before he could. He breathed a sigh of relief then walked down from the roof, using the wind as stairs. He smiled at his accomplishment and walked to the library after a quick dry spell. | |

Hermione walked into the Great Hall and headed to the Gryffindor table. As she walked in she saw Ron sitting next to Tara, and they seemed to be in a heated discusion. She frowned slightly, and then plastered a wide smile on her face, and walked over to them, sitting across from Tara. "Hi," she said smiling. "I had to talk to one of the Proffessors. What did I miss?"

Sam shivered after a moment. It was starting to get cold and the rain was beginning to cease. The only reason she had come out is for the rain. She decided to head up to the common room already. Swimming over to shore, she crawled out carefully, for the edge was very muddy and slippery.
Sam made it to the castle with great difficulty, but she was happy and relaxed, nonetheless. Her wet clothes and hair clung to her like parasites. That was the uncomfortable downside. As soon as she reached the stone porch, Sam performed a drying charm on herself and her hair and clothes were back to their normal selves. Quietly, Sam pressed the handle to the door and opened the large walnut structure. She made her way toward the fourth floor quickly, making sure no one saw her. | |
