"No. Ron and Hermione are hanging out, and Harry, is...well I don't know where he is...," Tara said, not even daring to jump down Draco's throat for the whole 'mudblood' comment. She was too aggravated to even argue with anyone. And besides. She liked Draco, and didnt want to mess up things in between them.

Draco let out a sarcastic laugh. "Has Weasley finally worked up the courage to ask Granger out?" He asked rhetorically. "As for Harry, he's probably out with his "fan club." He said, his face darkening. He couldn't stand the way that he got publicised. What was so great about him anyway? Draco then turned his attention back to Tara, looking her in the eyes. "Why do you hang out with those gits?" He asked, his eyes glistening.

"They're my friends. I love them," Tara said. She looked over and Draco's face was inches from her. She could feel his hot breath on her face.

Draco turned away, and looked out towards the lake. "I don't understand what people see in them." Said Draco, his face darkening once more. He smiled slightly and then asked, "Why are you talking to me?"

Tara didn't want to tell him that she had the hugest crush on him.
"Um...I dunno," Tara said, looking over at Draco.
He had gotten hotter over the year...
It was all Tara could do to contain herself and not snog him right then and there.

Draco turned back to Tara and said, "You do realise that your little friends will be angry at you, right?" He then studied her face. She really was beautiful, he looked away, smug with the way that she looked at him. Should I play with her mind, he asked himself. "You're gorgeous," He said looking into her eyes, his mind racing.

Hermione smiled at Ron, and they walked down to the lake. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining, making the lake glisten. Hermione looked over towards her favourite spot, but there were people already sitting there. She looked closer, and saw that it was Tara and Draco. "Ron, why is Tara sitting with Draco?" She asked suspiciously.

Ron looked out to see what Hermione was pointing out. He glared at Draco be so close to Tara. "I don't know. But I don't think it's right" He said. His smile faded even more when he saw Jason and Sam together.

Hermione stared at the two. "Yeah, neither do I." She said glaring at Draco. "I don't like him one bit." She spat. She turned her attention over to the lake, and saw Sam and Jason, and smirked. "They look like they're having fun." She said a smile appearing on her face.

Sam looked at Jason and was about to reply when she saw Ron and Hermione on the shore. "Uh, Jason, I don't think that's such a good idea," she said eyeing Ron with immense dislike.

Jason looked at her confused. "Why no...oh" He said as he looked at the shore. Sure enough there was Ron and Hermione.

Ron looked at Hermione. "I agree" He said. "I don't think Sam likes me anymore" He said.

Jason smiled. "It's fine, really" He said. "Happens a lot." He looked at her with a caring look in his eyes. He hears the schreech of a bat and smiles. He watches it carefully. The bat barely knicks the top of Draco's head then lands in a darker area of the trees.

"I have to go" He said. "I'll see you later. Bye" He said standing on top of the water, dry and ran off towards where the bat was.

Hermione walked over to Ron, and sat down next to him. She slipped her shoes and socks off, dipping her feet into the cool water. Jason had just left the lake, and so she called out to Sam, wanting details. "Hey Sam!" She called, waving at her friend.

Draco smirked, and looked back out at the lake. "Oh, look, Granger and Weasley are out and about." He said with a mischevious smile. He wanted to play a prank, and push them into the water, but he thought better of it. Tara was still sitting next to him, and he wanted to get her on side. Then, an idea sprouted in his head. What if I kiss her, he thought to himself. That'll cause an uproar. With that thought, another mischevious smile appeared on his face, and he turned towards Tara. He leaned in slowly and planted a soft kiss on her lips.

Tara was shocked when Draco leaned in and kissed her, so shocked that she gasped. But she didn't object. She kissed him back, enjoying every minute of it. She sort of hoped Ron was looking. If he was, then he'd be jealous. But if he wasn't, then he'd probably be mad. Tara still liked Ron. She just realized it.
But Her crush for Draco grew every second longer they kissed.

Hermione turned around to look at Draco and Tara, and sure enough, they were kissing each other. Her eye's widened and mouth dropped at the sight. She then turned around and tapped Ron on the shoulder. "I wouln't look behind you, if I were you." She whispered in his ear. She then turned her attention back to the lake and sighed, What's wrong with me, she thought to herself.

Draco kissed her back, passionately and slowly pulled away, smiling. His smile grew bigger as he saw Hermione turn around and look at them, her mouth wide open. He turned to Tara and smiled innocently, "You're so beautiful." He whispered, and turned his attention back to the lake. Did he like her? Or was he just playing her? He couldn't tell.

"Thanks," Tara said, happy Draco had kissed her. She really liked him. Maybe they could get together. Maybe he'd ask her out. Maybe she'd be his girlfriend...

Ron looked at Hermione with a slightly confused look. "Ok. If you say so" He said still looking out into the lake. Unconsciously he rested Hermione's hand in his and smiled at her.

Jason felt bad for leaving Sam there but he had no chioce. The bat was a messenger bat from his family. He walked under the tree that the bat landed in but it was gone.
The bat decided to bother Tara and Draco by swooping in on them for a while.
Jason decided to call out for the bat. "Olivia. Olivia! Where are you?" He called. The bat stopped still over their heads then flew off in the direction of his voice.
It dropped the letter in Jason's hand then left.

After he read it he burned it and let the ashes fly in the wind. He went up to the roof to be alone after that.

Sam sighed as she was left by Jason again. She waded out of the water and climbed on the beach. Picking up her wand, she dried herself off and changed back into her clothes with one simple flick. Drying her hair and making sure she had it up in a ponytail. A bit saddened, she started to make her way back to the castle.

Draco looked at Tara, and then looked away from her, turning his attention to the glistening lake. "I don't know. You looked lonely, I guess," he said shrugging.
